After phoning the branch twice (Cheltenham) - I was put thru to call centre. I arrived at the branch (3pm) -a big OPEN sign on the door - but no one there! So unprofessional & time-wasting! I then pho... See more

I would strongly recommend to AVOID…
I would strongly recommend to AVOID using this facility. The staff completely obstructed a police investigation and withheld CCTV footage from the Police. The incorrect information and lies told to myself and the Police can only lead me to believe the staff at National Storage Pinelands were complicit with the thieves and received a kick back from the theft of my belongings. Several requests to speak to higher management in Darwin and also from National Storage Head Office were completely ignored. Do not trust these people and this company with your belongings.
Complained about something and they increased my rent half an hour later
I haven't had access to my belongings for 3 weekends now because the goods lift is out of order. I rang this morning to complain and 30 minutes later I received an email advising of an increase in my rent of $28 per month. Needless to say, I'm taking my business elsewhere.
Never ever use National Storage…
Never ever use National Storage ,started okay storage cost went through the roof and threatening letters .Never use them .
Utterly awful company.
Utterly awful company.
Constantly increase prices once they've locked you in. Customer service is terrible. Onsite management isn't helpful and advertise opening hours are not always upheld.
The prices advertised are upto 30% less than existing customers pay. They price gouge because they know it's difficult to move a unit.
Made a complaint 2 months ago to try to understand why I am being charged so much more than advertised prices and its gone into a black hole of pass the buck and we don't give a $$$$.
Stay away.
Absolute disgrace
Absolute disgrace. Upped storage fees 3 times in little over a year. Double charged my unit right before Xmas. Took them FIVE weeks to contact me to advise they could not issue a refund. Please avoid for your own sanity. Worst customer service/financial service ever. Dodgy is the only word.
I had to do a rapid storage situation…
I had to do a rapid storage situation when my unit rent went up $120. I had been a Tennant for 3 years.
I noticed the money wasn't coming out after 3 months....I stored in Ipswich and had to go to Gladstone to get accommodation and work.
Several times I tried to ring national storage and Once I went round and round being taken back to the options . Secondly I got through and was told I had to change my details ...tel and card details on line. After several attempts I couldn't log in . I tried to contact them again but again did not get through...using the 1300 or 1800no.
I had no emails showing .
I then rang a friend in Ipswich who did a local search and got a local no.
I rang this no and then was told that I would receive an email.
It didn't come.
I rang again and was told to check my spam.
My unit contents were sold.
The arrears manager told me he couldn't tell me who they had been sold toor would not give my details to the seller under the privacy Act.
In my unit was the last of my and my daughter's precious things...photos,books,China and particularly boxes of items my grandson had kept that his father gave him.His father died when he was 7, drowned, no body found.
They had all their stuff in storage in another company and when Covid hit they couldn't afford the Exorbitant cost to move it or the storage fees soI got it out and we sold all except 6 boxes.
The housing crisis, the fact that homes have become real-estate business and people's investment portfolios has had a wide spread effect on the bottom of society.
Storage companies have boomed and profited.Like cash converters you are in a vulnerable situation with no time to " look around".
I am still in negotiation to try and get them to ask the buyer to contact so I can buy back what is very precious and prevent damage to my grandson.
This happened over a 6 month period.
22% Price Increase in 12 Months
They get the job done, the staff are very nice and always professional.
However I have concerns with their business model as there seems to be an automatic increase experienced by myself and other users by above 20% in the first year.
It would be interesting to see if this is standard.
I'm also wondering what I should expect in the next 12 months.
My dad was SCAMMED by this company and…
My dad was SCAMMED by this company and was overcharged and NEVER refunded, will literally NEVER use this service or recommend it to anyone.

SCAMMERS
SCAMMERS
They scammed my boy Chad. They suck. They can’t be trusted and will never ever do business with them.
No one should support scammers.

Stole money from my dad
Stole money from my dad, no head office support or contact number. And have to now wait 3 weeks for a refund, extremely greedy company STAY AWAY
GREEDY BUSINESS
GREEDY BUSINESS, steer away from them! In 12 months they increased the price of my storage unit TWICE, skyrocketing from $122 to an outrageous $181. That’s a 48% price increase in just one year!
It's an insult to loyal customers who trusted them to provide stable and fair pricing. Once you’re happy and settled, they will start the arbitrary price hikes, it’s clear that they value profit over the loyalty of their clients.
Save your energy and find for a company that prioritises transparency and fair pricing, as National Storage certainly does not.
Price Gouge their customers
Price Gouge their customers. After 6 months they reviewed the pricing and increased by 22%. Basically said bad luck, if i sign as a new customer i can geta storage unit a lot cheaper. They do not look after regular customers and don't expect clients to move away. STAY AWAY
Purchased a unit and insurance
Purchased a unit and insurance, received contract and had paid one month in advance, couldn't enter premises or unit on agreed move in day, unit appeared to be already in use by someone else. No staff around that day and no phone help available. They never answered the phone following this so I emailed them, again with no response. After 2 months of charging me for a unit and insurance I was unable to use they appear to have cancelled my contract - I can only assume, as I never heard from them at all, payments just stopped coming our of my bank account.
Never received a refund as requested either.
National Storeage Phillip staff are so…
National Storeage Phillip staff are so very helpful and user friendly. Nothing is too much of an effort and they go the extra mile.
Thanks guys so much for everything you have done for me over the last few months.. your awesome!🤗🤗 Penny
I had a parcel dropped to the Philip…
I had a parcel dropped to the Philip National Storage and Si was ABSOLUTELY wonderful. Super helpful and understanding when I called with some questions.
Thanks Si for helping out with my questions and being so friendly.
Appalling customer service
Avoid National Storage NZ Henderson. Increased storage fees without any notification, overcharged me for 6 months. I took 6 months to sort it out and get refund due to their appalling customer service; ignoring emails, months-long delays responding to customers, snarky responses, like "check your spam folder for our email". I got my refund in March 2023 and by July 2023 they are running the same scam again. Beware they charging more than stated on website.
National Storage Moorooka
National Storage Moorooka. Someone clean the place! It’s brand new and it’s filthy! Oh, and soap in the one filthy toilet would be handy. Disgusting all ‘round.
Price gouging
Most horrible, ethically bankrupt organisation. Price gouging standard business practice. If you are a long term customer expect to pay more the their advertised rates to attract new customers. The difference is over $100 a month. Give this company a wide berth
Caution
Caution: Avoid dealing with this company! During these challenging times, it's common for people to face delays in their payments by a month or more. However, instead of understanding the situation, this company's immediate response is to list your content for auction. Exercise caution when dealing with National Storage.
National storage cannot be trusted! It’s week 5 of my waiting for a refund.
Do not trust this company with your money. I paid 6months in advance upfront for 2 storage units. I ended my tenancy with them earlier and the centre (Taita, NZ) signed off on 15 June 2023 and emailed me the Request for Refund forms which I completed the following day 16 June. Today is 20 July and I am still waiting for my refund. I patiently gave them 3 weeks before I started raising questions as to why it’s taking so long only to be ignored and/or lied to. After I sent them a screenshot of the Refunds policy in their terms and conditions the Refund team sent me an email claiming my refund has been approved after an entire month and requesting my bank account details on 17 July which I did and returned via email. Seriously how long does it take to input my bank details into their system and transfer payment to my account? Something very dodgy going on here. I will never use them again and will steer everyone I know requiring storage service well away from them. I’m not holding my breath for the refund. If it doesn’t get paid to me by next week Friday I’ll take legal action.
