After the refund:
After writing this review, I had instantly received an email of apology. They gave me a full refund in about 2 weeks. This is why I am changing my rating from 1 to 3. I am still questioning their profession because I have communicated with Vital Records directly as recommended by the other reviewer, and it took me less than a week to obtain the birth certificate.

Before the refund:
I should have checked this review beforehand. I have wasted total of 500 USD because of National Records. I am currently living out of the States, so I asked their service to attain my Birth Certificate. I submitted three documents with certified translation as required & verified by them which costed me a lot, and now they are saying those documents are unacceptable by the state. More than 2 months have past since the order, and I am back to square one. I do not know what is their profession and it really pisses me off with their AI-like emails.

What a fraud. They charge a ridiculous amount of money. You can talk to the vital records department directly and it will cost you a FRACTION of what they are charging here. If your order gets lost in transit they will not take ownership of the issue. If you ask for a refund they refuse no matter what. PLEASE avoid this business

i had to go through the BBB and write a 1 star review to get a refund. If you find yourself in a situation that nationalrecords refuses to process a refund even though it was done in a timely manner I recommend that route. Once that was done the refund was immediate.

You are able to contact vital records through the state yourself without having to go through them and it will take the same amount of time with a fraction of the cost

I was able to navigate the webpage easily. I do wish they had a way to expedite Birth Certificates to foreign countries because I have a small window to complete this.

I don’t normally answer my phone so I’m glad they sent me emails and texts to tell me what I needed to do. They were also friendly.

National Records' service was absolutely perfect in every respect. I was requesting a US Birth Certificate however I am living on the other side of the globe. I was missing a support document and they were very helpful in assisting me to secure this. They sent regular email and SMS updates on the progress. Regrettably I can only give 5 stars ... no option for more! GREAT SERVICE!
