After Athena (part of the Naphtens Group) was the company who helped me with a legal matter. I was looking for a trustworthy, experienced employment lawyer providing objective advice who is acting in my best interest. A friend recommended After Athena based on her excellent experience with Emma Saunders. Oli McCann worked on my case. Oli provided an excellent service. Not only was Oli quick to respond, his concise and thorough approach to my legal case was incredible. I felt very well looked after. Oli explained the legal terms in a way I was able to understand and he was able to achieve everything we wanted to achieve. Working with Oli made the whole experience pleasant and quick to deal with. This is third time we have used the company to deal with the conveyancing for the sale and purchase of three of our properties which were carried out in the last two years.

My family and I have had on going problem with Napthens. They have failed to pay out from my late Grandmothers Trust going back to April 2023! The money from this trust pays for my elderly Aunt who is now needing full time care.

We have tried since last June to get a reply from the case handler who seems to be either on holiday or left !

To say that this situation is stressful is an understatement.

If there was a zero option that would be my choice . Already started to tell my friends to avoid this company like the plague .
Helen Lucking is a disgrace to her profession . She allegedly has 30 years experience in family law .1.
She attended the first court hearing with NO medical evidence , an experienced solicitor with 30 years experience would have had the case adjourned
2.she quoted me £1300 for some c pension work and when I got the bill it was £2300 , there was no consultation with myself and definitely no customer service or communication .
3. She failed to fully brief my Barister with important information regarding my case which the Barister pointed out in the case review . This is a family lawyer with 30 years experience allegedly .
Then she tried to tell me that the information I had given her about a car was wrong and make me out to be a liar . I know the information I gave her was not what she wrote down and then tried to blame me .
She should be relieved of her duties as far as I am concerned .

i HAVE USED NAPTHENS ON A COUPLE OF OCCASIONS AND I HAVE FOUND THEM TO BE VERY FRIENDLY AND EFFICIENT IN ALL MATERS THAT I HAVE TAKEN BEFORE THEM AND ESPECIALLY WITH THE PERSONAL HELP OF MRS HELEN LUCKING AN EXCELLENT SOLICITOR WITH A VERY FRIENDLY MANNER AND WOULD HAVE NO HESITATION IN USING THE FIRM AGAIN SHOULD THE OCCASION ARISE.

Their advice is balanced and unemotional which fills you with confidence.

They work super efficiently and as soon as something was required it happened straight away.

Compared to our buyers and sellers solicitors Pamela was outstanding. It was a complex process taking nearly 7 months to complete. Where other parties made it painful, Pamela and Liam helped remove the stress and pain for us. I just wish everyone operated at the same level as Napthens, we would have completed in far less time!
