3 main issues: quality lack of support and lack of transparency
3 main issues:
context: I live in Italy, walls are solid, I am 48 yo, and have 20 years experience assembling furniture and DIY.
1- Lack of transparency on their website: they use the judge.me system, but they only display the ones they select, 4 and 5 stars. even if they use the judge.me system, it is not so honest to hide my 3 stars review, I wrote about the product quality.
FACTS: I bought the bundle. I sent a three star review (disappointing quality and assembling process, that almost ruined the bars) and Nala didn't publish it on their website. It seems they only publish 4 and 5 stars reviews; that is lack of transparency, they could display 2 or 3 stars reviews too and reply on the website. 2- the main issues: (why i would rate them 2-3 stars on their website): I remember reading it is 100%. wood and it's not. only the bars are real wood.The sides that support the bars, that would require 100%. strength, are simply plywood/laminated. It's not as durable as solid wood. very dissappointing considering the 800 euro price.
3- assembling instructions: they show a video and send 4 pictures via a zip files download. I would have appreciated videos on youtube showing the real process.
4- the screws and wall plugs are not the best quality and don't fit the purpose. we had to buy new wall plugs and screws that can actually be drilled to go through the wood. A warning would have been nice.
5- the subscription model: I understand that they have to make a living out of this, but 1 month free on an app at 18 dollars a month subscription seems a rip off. I would have paid 2 or 3 euro a month if I wanted a subscription. But buying an 800 euro product advertised on Instagram, would have preferred to receive a set of at least 20 free videos for customers, on an unlisted youtube playlist, with basic/intermediate exercises. And then you are free to buy a membership or not. But 1 month "free" on the app, is nothing.
When I sent my 3 star review, pointing out the lack of instructions and main concerns, they sent me an email, that repeated what's already on their welcome email after I placed the order.
I wish her well and hope they can use this honest review from a real customer to improve their business.
