Great tutor, well planned sessions, easy to use platform
Epiphany has been great, planning lessons thoroughly, and ensuring my daughter really understands how to improve her work. My dss as daughter looks forward to her sessions and the whole platform has been super easy to use.

Easy to use, transparent, secure and fair
MyTutor is an excellent platform for tutoring on UK curriculum. We live abroad and our daughter is doing the IB. You don't always find UK tutors outside the UK. I found myTutor easy to use, you can filter by subject, by course (GCSE, A-levels. IB others). It is also very transparent, and you get a range of experiences and prices from all tutors. The payment method is secure and the security is great (i.e. a parent retain control on the profile and payment).
We found a great tutor, Jack. He is incredibly professional, calm, and knows how to explain math very well and in "simple" words, by maintaining the technical and academic jargon.
If you are looking for a tutor for your child(ren), on any subject, I strongly recommend mytutor.co.uk!

Good experience
So far so good.
We use the website to find affordable tutoring for our son with Sen needs.
The website is well done, easy to navigate and a good platform to get in contact with relevant tutors. The various filters (price, Sen experience) are useful.
We cannot judge yet of the tutors quality (less than a month using them), but happy so far with the global quality.

Very happy with Simran our tutor
Very happy with Simran our tutor. She’s lovely, very good at explaining topics to my daughter, in such a way that she then understands. She also finishes with questions to make sure my daughter really does understand. We’ve been very pleased with her help.

Didn't get accepted at a tutor with 10…
Didn't get accepted at a tutor with 10 years of experience.
I got rejected when I applied as a teacher even though they accept uni students with NO teaching experience, yet I've taught over 10 years and wasn't accepted.
The generic email said, "We get huge numbers of people applying which means that unfortunately for us, we can’t work with everybody.".
Maybe I'm not good enough compared to a uni student? Or maybe I'm just too qualified?

We appreciate how disappointing it can be not to progress with an application, particularly when you bring significant teaching experience. Our tutor selection process isn’t based on years of teaching alone. We operate a near-peer tutoring model, which means all of our tutors are recent graduates or current university students who have recently sat the same exams our students are preparing for. This helps them offer up-to-date insight into current exam formats, mark schemes, and expectations, which many families and students value.
Due to the very high volume of applications we receive, we also have to make difficult decisions to ensure our tutor pool aligns closely with this model and the specific needs of our students at that time. That does mean we’re unable to progress every application, and this isn’t a reflection of someone’s ability or professionalism.
If circumstances change in the future (and they may well do) you would be very welcome to reapply - we recommend checking back again in 6 months. We really appreciate the time and effort you put into your feedback and your application. We wish you every success going forward.

My son is really enjoying his sessions and say he can feel the benefit already. The tutors are varied and it's great that they are studying at uni, as it makes you feel they have a better understanding of the curriculum, as they have recently taken their A Levels. The website is easy to navigate and sessions are easy to book. Very good value for money as well. Would definitely recommend.
