Using mytrudy.com I was able to quickly build a resume customized for a specific job opening. I have tried a bunch of other resume builders and each has some unique features, but Trudy was the stand out and here's why:

1) My resume was effectively tailored for the job description. Other ai resume builders say they customize for a job but all they do is tell you to add some keywords that match the job description or put the job title at the top of you resume. It's pretty generic. Trudy actually customized my summary and my key accomplishments according the job description.

2) I loved how it used words that described the way I think or how I interact with others. Given the pace of change, employers want to know I have the skills to tackle new challenges, not just regurgitate things I've done before. Trudy helped me show that in my resume.

3) It offered a handful of well-designed templates. ATS systems don't reward you for creativity so I don't understand why other services offer so many template options. I don't want to spend time making a gorgeous resume that just gets trapped in an ATS filter.

I wish I read the reviews before allowing my trial to lapse. There are some good things about this tool, but as a functional tool for reducing time spent on custom document creation, it's a mess.

Pros: Great a scrubbing job descriptions and incorporating keywords from employer sites into your resume and cover letter. Seamlessly changing templates and colors is great.

Cons: Document formatting is atrocious. Spacing between text blocks within a single section varies wildly. Similarly spacing between sections is all over the place sometimes bumping to a new page leaving 1/3 of a page blank. There are certain sections, once created, you cannot edit, e.g. job summaries. And, if you attempt to edit work experience, you are forced to include information that wasn't previously include, e.g. job status. The cover letters read like Nigerian Prince spam, and require heavy editing.

TL;DR: There are likely better, similarly priced tools out there. If you make the investment, understand that you will likely spend as much time editing the documents produced as you would if you were just doing them from scratch.

Absolute dog shit. Formatting from uploads never matches up correctly with template format (job descriptions under position/title, wrong dates, wrong title) and when changes are made to edit information accurately it never gets saved in the final download. I want my money back this was an absolute waste of time and money. It writes a hallway decent summary for your resume that's about it.

During the free trial everything was great, I was able to build great resumes. However when I came back to build a new resume the website immediately asked for payment. I decided to go with one month of 24$ and some change, instead they charged me 59.70 for 3 months. An option I had not selected. I called the number on the bank transaction and it rang to what seemed like a personal number, which directed me to leave a message. I was not able to build a resume even after the 59.70, it was asking for more money instead. I would not trust this website. I tried to reach out to customer service, no response, there was also a link for customer service and the link was not working at all. I downloaded google chrome to open the link, and it still wouldn't direct me to the proper page. This is a scam.

Service is ok you cant customize your Resume. They permanently add your personality strengths that can not be removed you have NO ability to add additional custom sections like core competencies, etc . EarnBetter is better suited for this and is Free
