Have used it twice .. once on my earlier trip and this time for my upcoming trip.
User friendly once you know how it functions, and very good offers too.
It just takes a while to get used to it.
Their customer care is pathetic. It takes 10 days to hear back from them, which there was an instant chat response for queries.

Good user friendly app,
Cons- no discounts really kn the trainpal app, so if the ticket counter is open, i prefer buy from there instead of trainpal.

Easy to book and loved that they do not charge booking fee. They also offer extra discounts for students which is great. Don't think I'll use any other app for train tickets anymore.

I've used Trainpal for ages now and spent a fortune. Never again.
Train companies issued do not travel advice for the recent June heatwave and tickets became fully refundable. Trainpal are refusing the refund and it's impossible to speak or contact a human.
Note: I've followed the advice in the reply below and got the same response back. Pathetic.

Loved the ease of booking tickets for my upcoming trip to the UK and beyond. Great to have all that sorted before I even get on the plane. I’ll come back to review further AFTER the actual train trips! 🚝

Always a good price and normally the lowest by a few pounds but sometimes even when there are tube strikes they won’t refund!

Excellent App! Never any issues and brilliant to book both in advance or even right up to departure. Tickets emailed in seconds. Love it.

I will NEVER use Trainpal again. They have on two occasions now refused a refund on journeys I had to cancel. The first one was to Liverpool and sadly I had a family bereavement and the funeral was the day I was due to travel. This left me £82 out of pocket. The second time was recently when I was due to go to Birmingham. This was during the recent Heatwave and the National Railway Network advised people not to travel unless it was really necessary. I heeded their advice and requested a refund again to no avail. This left me £50 out of pocket. Cannot contact them by phone as none available and their email address doesn't connect. I would urge people to avoid them at all costs.

The best and most useful program ever

After evaluating numerous applications, I found TrainPal to be one of the most exceptional platforms available. It is notably interactive and provides comprehensive information, making it an excellent choice for securing cost-effective train bookings.

I was extremely disappointed to have a refund refused for a ticket bought in error. The journey should have been booked going in the opposite direction and was reported to TrainPal within an hour. I managed to get past their chat bot to a human being, but there was a resolute refusal to help. I know other operators do offer ‘no questions asked’ refunds within two hours, so this seemed particularly unreasonable. The loss of this ticket price far eclipses the savings I’ve made in the brief time I’ve used TrainPal. During the heat wave last week, when my train operator had advised against travel and confirmed tickets booked for the hottest days would be refunded, I did manage to get a refund from TrainPal but had to try several times. I’ll not be using them again.

I had seen that via a discount code on the money saving expert website railcards were discounted by 23%.
I purchased one following and the discount was accepted and valid throughout until the payment page where the full price was displayed.
I tried this a few times assuming there was a glitch but it was the same every time.
I contacted trainpal, which was no easy feat, and they told me the discount cannot be applied "due to suspicious activity" on a rail booking site? Really?!
It seems the advertised discounts are nothing but a scam to draw traffic to their site and there is no intention to honour them.
A hard avoid.
I will not be using them again. Uber sell train tickets and although similar I did not have such issues with trip.com.

Love train app. I've returned to the UK for a holiday and doing a bit of travelling. Train app definitely delivers the best pricing and discounts. Easy to book and pay and uses E Tickets with bar code that confirms purchase with conductors and station staff. Excellent

Not a bad experience tho could not get ticket from your email at one stage which panicked me for an hour

These people are scammers and a complete fraud. After I paid for my ticket, I noticed they did not send me the same route that was displayed before I paid. I contacted customer service through live chat, and the agent cancelled my ticket. He mentioned he issued a full refund as it had been less than 10 minutes. However, I only received a partial refund. When I followed up, the agent sent a confirmation email stating the full refund was issued in two payments.Later on, I contacted customer service again and was told the ticket had been 'collected,' which is why only a partial refund was made.First of all, if the ticket was cancelled, how could anyone collect it?Second, why was I issued two payments in the first place instead of one full refund? This is a total scam. I have all the screenshots as proof, and if there were an option to upload them here, I would reveal these scammers.

It easy to book train tickets. Never have trouble going but coming back that the problem. I booked 4 days trip for one a month. I realised that I booked trains coming back that was too late for me. So I ended up paying for a earlier trains back. You could not get a refund. So May came I travelled to my destination but coming back train was delayed I ended up coming back on the later train which I did not want. Then last Saturday I took the next trip again going was perfect. Got to Skegness no problem got back to train station at 1600 then got told sorry train had been cancelled. It took me 6hrs to get back from Skegness. I have 2 more trips left July and August. There already been announcements that there is railway work take place on the day I be going in July so there going to be a disruption. I have tried to cancel both of the last 2 trips even with insurance taken out but I can not cancel them. I even tried at Birmingham City Centre ticket office they can not help because I brought them off you. I not blaming you the tickets were perfect for the price. But you all need to talk to each other before you put trains on the website to travel.
