Kept seeing lots of adverts everywhere for this company so decided to give myself a birthday treat. They advise that it can take a few days for them to 'handpick' a shirt for you before sending it.

Not long after I purchased a shirt, I get an email to apologise for the delay in dispatching the shirt. They explain it's because they have had a massive increase in sales (up 282%) and their suppliers have also experienced delays.

I thought I would be patient, but I was then getting advertisement emails saying I could get a discount off my first order (after I've already placed an order with them) and again seeing social media advert pushing people to buy their product. At no point did they acknowledge there may be delays to orders.

It seems like they are trying to capitalise on interest and awareness thanks to appearances in the media. It screams poor business to me to advertise a product you have no stock for, and then to keep pushing adverts and incentives for more orders on top of the backlog that you already have. Looking at other reviews, some have been waiting for weeks already so it is very disingenuous to not make it clear to new customers that there are delays. If they made it clear and open from the start, I might have kept my order with them.

Only reason I'm giving a 2* is because I asked them to cancel my order and they did, although they were clearly unhappy with me - "Hello. Your request has been processed already."

Will not be ordering off here again ordered my Shirt on the 9th Feb and still not received it, only today I've received an email saying it has been dispatched which is a joke, i understand that it is busy but they need to make that more clear on the website, messaged them on WhatsApp weekly after the order didn't come in the timeframe they provided, and all I got what the same old either we are expecting an order with your size or we are updating our inventory, only to be waiting another week without hearing anything, very unhappy with the service and there being no resolution

Confirmed my order on the 13th Feb and suggested orders can take 3-5 days to be handpicked…. I still have no confirmation of dispatch today (25th Feb). I have contacted them via their website twice and received no responses.

Shockingly poor amateur service, I have requested a refund from my back due to services not being met from the supplier.

Avoid, do not send them your money.
Ordered on the 4th of feb, still waiting, have sent several emails but still no reply

I returned an unsuitable shirt. They replaced it with…The same one.
I then had to repeatedly chase up on my emails requesting refund.
It took two months to get my money back.
Product might be ok, but when it goes wrong they were awful.

Twice I have given this company my money both times I’ve regretted it. First time I ordered an XL and they sent me L which I had to return. Second time ordering as a gift for my brother and the order is no where to be seen almost two weeks after ordering. No communication or update about delayed deliveries, yet they still post on their socials encouraging people to buy 🤣

It’s a really nice idea but prepare to be disappointed. The customer service is tragic.

A week after writing my initial review, I received my shirt through, it was very niche! Al Ahly of Egypt. My only gripe is that I paid £37 in total and the shirt is worth no more than £20, maybe a tad more with delivery. The shirt is nice, I'm holding out for another month to see what else they send me so will revisit at that point.

Subscribed over a week ago, heard nothing from them. No indication of delivery, no explanation of what’s happening, or if there’s a delay. They expect me to continue a subscription with them when they’ve quite happily taken my money and told me nothing?

Tried to contact them on WhatsApp, 24 hours to receive a response that said ‘do you still need help?’ Yes, I do need help. What is going on?

I’ll give them a few more days and if I hear nothing I’ll just have my bank perform a charge back.

It could be that the business is still finding its feet and has had exponential growth but if you don’t keep your customers updated you’re shooting yourself in the foot.

Following watching the Overlap podcast where Gary Neville promotes this company I order from mystershirtinabox.com a football top and American Football top, but took the money but no updates. I’ve send many emails, WhatsApp messages with zero update or response. I’m going to try bank for a refund as company is clearly fraudulent! Hopefully they report it to the police.

Wish I went here before. Don't buy, they are offloading jerseys no one wants. You can choose 3 leagues you don't want but then they send you jerseys from a league you can't choose to avoid. I ordered 6 jerseys and 3 of the 6 were from an Indian league and two of the three were the exact same jersey. Only one of the six jerseys were from a league anyone had heard of. They also ignored my requests and did not respond to emails. Avoid unless you want all jerseys from the Indian league.

Absolutely dreadful. DO NOT ORDER. I waited over two weeks and emailed them several times, they eventually refunded my money but such horrible service. Avoid! Scammers!

Very poor customer service, slow to respond and at the time of review impossible to cancel subscription due to 404 page not found error. Why not include it in the accounts page where the delay by 1 month option is?

I would have probably resubscribed after the Christmas period but now will probably avoid in future.

Shirt was fine with decent packaging and a nice card about the team shirt recieved (although the text was straight from wikipedia).

It's been one year and still nothing. They stole 60 euros from me. Rather than a shirt in a box I would send them a c4 in a box.

1. Shirts are not premium, but pretty bad quality, even being new ones.
2. Ignored my choices
3. Asked me to mark 3 options I did not want, then sent a shirt from an option which was not even listed (otherwise I would mark it as undesirable too)
4. Stop communicating with me after I have proven them they were misleading after giving the choices to me
5. Keep sending tons of marketing emails

The business idea is nice. Hope they can't get it right soon. It has potential besides the clumsy execution

update from my previous review.. they get worse, returned the terrrible shirt they sent me weeks ago, gave them the tracking number they still wont refund me, claiming they dont know about it. Honestly terrible customer service, once again asked do I want to cancel my subscription which I have done 7 weeks ago and shown them evidence. Avoid and save yourself the postage price of sending back the rubbish they send you.

This company should be ashamed of themselves my first shirt was 11 days late and my second shirt was 18 days late! And don't even get me started on the second shirt a 7 aside neighbourhood team from philidelphia what is going on they are not a professional football club not even bloody amateur they hardly answer your messages I.e they read them I've had three replies from them in over a months period thier excuse is they are busy well I found out on the 11/5/2023 they had despatched the order only then to further find out it didn't leave until the 12th May I received my order baring in mind it was meant to be with me on 28/4/2023 I got in on the 16th May box was smashed to peices no information card on the team as there is hardly any at all. Just a joke do not waste your money on this company they do not care about their customers just there customers money!

Ordered the wrong size a month ago, got a small bibiani shirt (like everyone else)

Returned and asked for a different size. Sent it next day delivery. 4 weeks later, I haven’t received the shirt OR my money back.

Reached out to them 50+ times on Instagram to just get excuses after excuses to why my parcel hasn’t been sent out.

Asked them to refund and cancel my subscription, which they still haven’t, got billed again for ANOTHER small shirt, it came in a battered box with just the shirt unlike what they advertise.

for a company that you can supposedly return shirts you’re unhappy with, it’s completely unacceptable.

Perhaps spend less on influencers & bulk buying shirts to get them for cheaper & invest more in your customer support.

I’d recommend ANY other football shirt site over these, it’s absolutely disgusting how little of a Fk they give.

They breach the owner made it for his love for football, anyone who loves football knows community is at the heart of it & he clearly doesn’t see that.

Got a wierd one the first time (philadelphia), still very cool, second was a second league team in Ghana (even better) and third one i got was a bayern. If it goes on like this, i am never giving up the subscription. Love your mystery boxes, cant wait for the next one to get here!

Shirt came quickly & good quality. Only issue is that friend ordered at the same time & received the same shirt but perfect otherwise

Fast delivery quality of the shirt was amazing
