This is by far the best app I’ve ever used. It’s very intuitive and user friendly and is highly customizable. I’ve used for 6 weeks now and it’s helped me lose 12 pounds.

Inaccuracies and the fact that you…

Inaccuracies and the fact that you cannot log all things.. app picks up American brands more than any other countries.. and the fact that you have manual log and photos is closed off if you are not on premium.

Thanks for the feedback. You are right that our database is strongest for US foods. We add new brands every day, so if you tell us which country you are in and a few products you could not find, we will get them in. If any entries looked wrong, send those too and we will fix them.

On the free plan you can create your own foods from the label and send us a photo of a label for anything missing. The photo logging that needs a subscription is the AI one that recognizes food from a picture. If something else looked locked, we would like to understand what you saw, as that may be a bug on our side.

Email us at support@mynetdiary.com and we will reply within 24 hours.

Really good free app

I love being able to track my food and scan my items for free I don’t have a lot of money for my weight loss journey and not having to spend it on an app really makes a difference. I do wish you could have more pro features with a one-time payment instead of monthly. I do wish that I could log the time I eat

Great site

Great site. They do the work. Best results if YOU do the work of recording every day. If you cheat, you're only cheating yourself. You are in control. Netdiary gives you all the tools you nead to be successful. Make it a game of accounting and record everything. You will see results. I've lost 84 lbs. That's my/your reward.

This is a genuinely helpful app. It has many different breakdowns and views to understand your food. It also makes logging very easy. The recent addition of the streak indicator has been motivating.

Day #731 of my weight loss journey…

*****Day #731 of my weight loss journey *****
Age: 77
Started at 328 pounds on 09/30/2024
Today: 170.4 pounds
Total loss: 157.6 pounds
Have used MyNet Diary since 03/04/2025
Multiple screenshots were taken yesterday to document/track weight, BMR/calories plot, total calories consumed, daily step count (no scheduled exercise), total fat, total protein, net carbs, fiber, total omega-6 intake, total omega-3 intake.
Due to my assiduous and meticulous recording of weights and foods in MyNet Diary, and the raw power of this app, this is world class research data that beats the vast majority of information collected by observational studies that have led to academic and government pronouncements, assorted pontifications, and billions of revenue in diet books and media exposés.
If a nutritional archeologist were to stumble on this in the future it would make his or her day/s to come.
I am also very grateful for my Apple Watch and iPhone that make keeping track a breeze, as well as periodic InBody770 body composition assessments and DEXA scans. Together with the app they truly guarantee a 21st century spin to this endeavor.
For now, I am content with feeling immensely blessed by being almost half the man I used to be while feeling much younger again.

I keep the app only because…

I keep the app because it cost me so much just under $200 Canadian. I am frustrated with the app because there are so many things that I cannot add that I have to turn into something else that is close just to put it into my daily calories for example, I bake my own bread and mill my own wheat. I have tried many different ways to put the recipe into the app. By the way it takes forever, adding each and every ingredient that it’s very frustrating. Just to find out that in the end it won’t work. So you spend like 40 minutes, looking everything up, putting it into the app just to have it not work in the end because there is something that I have added that the app will not recognize. Other than the frustration with trying to customize recipes and foods that it will not accept or it tells me that I have to give a barcode how the hell do I give a barcode to something that is fresh that I have either growing myself or it won’t read the barcode off of a bag of my organic wheat. Anyhow, all that being said, I do like that I can still track roughly what I eat in a day being WFPBNO. There’s a lot about the app that I don’t care for and I wish I had taken the free version first because I never would’ve stuck with it. I would seek something out that would work more for my needs. If you eat a standard American diet a.k.a. SAD this will work fine for you because you are used to eating highly processed foods going into fast food, restaurants and buying food from the grocery store. I grow almost everything I eat what I don’t grow I buy from my Organic Market. I only eat Whole Foods and minimally processed meaning I will mill my own wheat berries or chopped something in my food processor or use a knife. I do not buy packaged premade goods so this app really was a very bad purchase on my end, but they refuse to give me a refund so I’m stuck with it. If you eat like I do it’s definitely not the app for you.

This is a much better tracker than the WW tracker

This is a much better tracker than the Weight Watcher tracker I used last year. I'm convinced that calorie counting is the way to go. The WW point system has to many "free" foods with zero points, but they all still have calories!

Great and easy way to track your eating! Whether you want to focus on calories or number of carbs, the app will help you stay on track! Also gives great feedback on when you should meet your goals based on the food you’ve tracked and the exercise you’ve logged.
