I contacted MYK Camera Repair regarding a Canon EOS SL2 with a clear and repeatable issue: the rear LCD is black in Live View and Movie mode, while the viewfinder, menus, and playback all work normally.
Communication was inconsistent and unclear. I answered their questions, provided photos, and explained the issue in detail. Despite this, I was told that “nothing is wrong” based solely on photos, without any diagnostic explanation or guidance on how to fix the problem.
When I asked directly whether this was an issue they could repair or what the likely cause might be, I stopped receiving responses altogether. No clear explanation, repair option, or referral was provided.
I was looking for professional diagnosis or a clear yes/no on service. Unfortunately, the communication and follow-through were lacking, which made it difficult to trust moving forward.
