they are SCAMMERS. they will allow you to transfer your money and then when you feel confident and put more funds in they will block your account and take all your funds without a reason.

Beware of this company
If you are in Canada, do not do business with this company. On October 6, I wanted to make a purchase in US dollars, so I deposited money into my Myguava account, but they wouldn't let me deposit it onto my US card. So I initiated a withdrawal of my money. Not only did they charge me withdrawal fees, but since October 6, I still haven't received my money, and it's now October 27.
September 19th 2025 my salary was paid…
September 19th 2025 my salary was paid into my account and I was lied to it was sent back. After going back and forth with my employer, that when I noticed the money wasn’t sent back and MyGuava is holding the money for some reason I don’t know. Whenever I ask for my money I only get the same copied paste words, saying it under investigation and they working on it. I work so hard for that money. Up until now I still haven’t received my money and I’m still getting copy paste words no progress at all. I’m due to park out to my new apartment and I have been given notice to leave, my child nursery is due to be pay which I can’t because the bank are refusing to pay me my money.
They haven't sent my money for days.
On October 11th, I sent $100 from my Canadian account via Interac. I sent this money to a friend in Turkey. Today is October 21st, and the money still hasn't arrived. A previous $800 transfer took two weeks to arrive. This is a very bad, unresponsive company. I'm contacting live support, and they're still telling me to wait..
This bank is terrible
This is a terrible bank. I'm a Canadian customer and successfully registered on October 1, 2025. On October 2, 2025, I used my own TD bank to transfer 10CAD to my myguava account using Interac E-Transfers. It should have arrived immediately, but it hasn't. I've been contacting their customer service for five days and provided all the information, but they keep saying they're investigating. To date, they haven't done anything. I contacted my TD account manager, and they clearly stated that the money had been automatically accepted by their company, but they won't transfer it to my account. It's absolutely devastating! What a scam!

SCAM: Unacceptable Delays and Contradictory Information - Zero Stars
SCAM!
Update : Marc 26, 2026 : The issue has remained unresolved.
I am writing regarding a critical failure in MyGuava's payment processing system that has left me without payment for my freelance work for over two weeks.
On September 18, 2025, a client sent a SEPA transfer of €792.14 to my MyGuava account. The funds did not arrive. After contacting support on September 22, I was informed the transaction was "under review." The following day, September 23, a support agent gave a completely different story, claiming the funds had been "successfully returned to the sender."
Naturally, I immediately checked with my client, who confirmed no refund had been received. When I relayed this information back to MyGuava, the support team reversed their previous statement and reverted to claiming the transaction was, once again, "under review."
Since then, I have contacted support multiple times, only to receive the same generic, unhelpful response: "We are working hard to resolve this."
Summary of Issues:
· Extreme Delay: 15+ days to resolve a basic SEPA transfer.
· Contradictory Information: Support provided conflicting stories about the funds being returned versus still under review.
· Lack of Accountability: No escalation, no timeline, and no genuine effort to resolve the issue is visible.
· Financial Impact: As a freelancer, not having access to my earned income is a significant problem.
MyGuava has demonstrated a severe lack of competence and reliability. I cannot recommend their services to any business or freelancer.

I am waiting for a refund, the transaction is made on 1st Sept! And the retailer told me that the order is cancelled and the fund should be sent back to me within 3-5 working days! I have checked with MyGuava Customer Service Team, they said I may need to wait up to 30 days for receiving my fund!
But now!!!!! They shut down the service!! Where is my fund!!!!

Extremely Disappointing Experience with MyGuava
I opened a MyGuava account after they became a sponsor of my football team. I was initially hesitant to move away from Wise, but the advertised benefits of a multi-currency wallet persuaded me to give them a chance.
At the point of opening, I made it clear I would be depositing in excess of £25,000 per month. Despite this, when I finally began using the account a few months later, issues started almost immediately.
Within just two payments, I was contacted by MyGuava requesting invoices to justify the deposits, accompanied by warnings that my account could face restrictions if I did not comply. Although I provided the documentation, the same situation arose again days later with further requests for invoices, proof of conversations with buyers, and repeated threats of account limitations.
Even after complying fully, I found myself unable to complete a BACS transfer to a new recipient. When I requested clarification, I was told the payment was "under review" with no indication of how long this would take to resolve.
The entire process has been unnecessarily stressful and time-consuming. MyGuava presents itself as a banking solution, but in practice operates more like an accountancy firm, requiring extensive paperwork for routine transactions.
It is disappointing that a company willing to spend large sums on sponsorship is unable to provide a basic, reliable service for its customers. The lack of transparency, efficiency, and customer support has made the account unusable.
In my experience, MyGuava is not a practical choice for anyone seeking a dependable banking partner. I would strongly advise others to avoid the service.
I will also share the generic reply they send to everyone below to save them the time :)
We completely understand your concern. Please be assured that the account review process is a standard security measure designed to protect your funds and ensure compliance. After a terrible previous experience…
After a terrible previous experience with MyGuava where they would temporarily block my account for no reason and take ages to sort, I thought I'd see whether things have improved (see my review from May)
They haven't. I was asked to send id and after some time told that my application has been declined. Presumably because of the issues I'd had before and the fact that I closed my account
Another company that struggles with criticism.
Personally I've found Wise a far more reliable alternative

Doesn't face customers; refunds take 30 days! "We don't call our own vendors on behalf of any clients"
*EDIT; post MG's-reply*;
I've shortened some things because I'd run out room. Agent here is saying I said I won't give my info to MG in their chat but I said he said here to someone else to have left that IN THEIR REVIEW HERE. Also. MG agents said it wasn't AVS-failure
I have read other reviews and I have seen that this company has a fetish for blowing smoke up their customers' back sides. Their oft-repeated-claim, here, about their LAX-support, is that they've an interest in providing efficient-, safe-customer-service, HOWEVER, like ALL companies that do the following--you can give only your head a shake for EVER having used this miscreant band of incompetent ninnies and their unbranded-, knock-off, Mickey Mouse, Monopoly-money-"card"--and, in that, they told me in the chat, that, "you cannot speak with a supervisor, as they do not face customers". I wish my experience on nobody. I also saw here this company stating it is preferable to leave your CONTACT DETAILS HERE SO THEY CAN FOLLOW-UP MORE EFFICIENTLY; OR EVEN YOUR "ACCOUNT DETAILS"! Those were the words of the MyGuava-rep., here on TrustPilot, telling another reviewer, to leave THAT SORT OF INFORMATION, here, of all places. But. People need to experience problems or issues with this racket and laundering-concern before you get a true-glimpse of the pylons with who you are entrusting, your money. Allow me to explain....
I am from Canada and I made what I thought was a simple-transaction to buy an iced-cappuccino-maker, online. My friend told me I was stupid for having chosen MG as my card, with which to pay, the reputable-, online-vendor. This is because, in this country, we send and receive many a transfer by way of any of our E-mail addresses; one simply sends in their bank's-app, a transfer to their payee, and the latter, opens their E-mail where a service called "Interac," which facilitates all this, plus is a payment-network, (and not a mere payment-provider,) both sends the E mails but also, for the recipient, links them with their, bank's-app, where they log-in, and the monies shift around that way. My friend likes to use gaming establishments online. They request, when one does an Interac-transfer, that the purchaser of gaming credits inserts a "memo field" in to his sending of his transfer, so that Interac's computers can instantly know, to which casino-account, the transfer should be sent. So my friend had forgotten to put one. But had used MyGuava to send the transfer. Here's where the farcical-comedy begins. At first, I was on MG's-side, because they are a free-card. ONE GETS FOR WHAT ONE PAYS! The support gave him something like a ten week-run-around stating there simply was nothing they could do; but these people also didn't know anything about Interac E transfers. Long story short after a very lengthy, stupid "investigation," my friend got back the money; and it had been sitting in MG's-account that entire time; and because we had kept telling them that is where the payment will have bounced back to; because refunds are sent only to the address from where it had been sent. MG is not an E-mail-provider. So how was my friend even to know when the INSTANT-refund had landed so he could re-collect the monies? Took MG around TEN WEEKS, to figure out a hole in the ground from anything else; basically lying the entire time.
Now, on to what's happened with my cappuccino-machine. Immediately the "card," defecated all in my bed, and the transaction failed. THE SITE HAD SAID, "AVS FAILURE". This means "address-verification-failure". The Internet says that. That's what said the merchant. They immediately had told me which company provided their payment services. I called them. They can only work with the businesses who use them as their having been clients. Fine. "On to MG," I thought. So. I arrived in the chat and that's where MG's-unique-brand-of-snark-and-laziness shone through and made me regret my existence and gave me many powerful ulcers, if not a slight-coronary, and for which I should sue them. Immediately, a "Zayn," goes, "you need wait thirty days before we can do anything for your money to come back from the payment-NETWORK, good-bye!" So I said, "excuse me--thirty days!? Is this 'The Flintstones'? What do you mean by payment-network?" (I hadn't known if he meant payment-provider; or, payment-network, but, that doesn't matter, because nothing matters to MG; only having their sham-of-a-product, lose $220.00 of one's monies, and, Zayn absolutely refused to answer my question, and had given me his exact-same-initial-canned-reply). I heard they opened an "investigation". I'm running out of room here. They don't write you back RE: investigation. Twice. Said the wait is not mandatory. They won't call MasterCard but CAN, after 30 days &c

Disappointing Experience – Missed Referral Rewards and Unreliable Transactions
I had high hopes for MyGuava, but unfortunately, my experience has been deeply disappointing. I signed up through a referral link, which clearly tracked correctly, and then referred a friend who also completed their sign-up using my unique link. Despite this, I received no referral reward, neither for my own sign-up nor for my friend's.
To make matters worse, the card frequently failed to process transactions. Several of my payments were either declined or required multiple attempts before finally going through, if at all. This unreliability made it difficult to trust the card for anything important.
When I contacted customer support, the responses were vague, generic, and unhelpful. It felt like they were just sending scripted replies without actually addressing the issues I raised.
Overall, it’s been a frustrating experience. The lack of transparency around rewards and the unstable payment functionality make it impossible for me to recommend MyGuava to others.

Good experience.
Been dealing with Taylor Fox, who has made the whole experience a doddle. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, everything with MyGuava has worked pretty much out of the box.
Happy to work with them.

Repeatedly Blocked Access to Funds — Unreliable and Stressful
MyGuava has failed me multiple times. This isn’t a one-off issue — the app has repeatedly blocked access to my funds without warning or proper explanation. I just get a generic email, and suddenly I can’t use my own money.
These issues have happened at the worst possible times — when I urgently needed to pay. MyGuava is my only Mastercard, and I rely on places that only accept Mastercard, so being blocked like this is a serious problem.
I’m based in Canada, and relying on a service that can freeze my funds without warning is simply too risky.
To be fair, customer service did respond and tried to be compassionate — but they weren’t able to provide any clear explanation or useful help. In the end, I was left without access to my money and no idea why.
I’ll be switching to a more reliable service.
Anton P.

I have a few cards and this is by far the worse, firstly took a month to change my address, then they keep adding 2 lots of interest every month, then soon as my statement come in I can’t use it until I paid the statement amount even though it not due for weeks. You contact them to be told we passed it on and then take weeks to come back to you, joke of a card if only had money to paid it off and close it!!!
