How this company uses Trustpilot
See how their reviews and ratings are sourced, scored, and moderated.
1. Web font licences are charged annually, yet the page views are calculated monthly. They do not support an annual calculation of page views, meaning you have to pay for the highest month in the full year, not the average! This is so unethical and illogical.
2. Customer service take days, sometimes weeks to reply.
3. The web font licences do not automatically renew so you have to manually go back, yet you still can't even renew manually, you have to start a new purchase.
4. Sometimes when navigating around the MyFonts My Account area, I end up on the Monotype website. I understand Monotype own MyFonts but this experience is very confusing.
5. Staff unable to provide any helpful advice on the products.

I wanted two fonts to use in autoCAD drawings. I bought what I liked but I can't get them to work. It seems I need .ttf fonts and what I bought was .otf fonts. I asked about a refund but the response said that the .otf descriptions was shown and since I agreed to the "Terms & Conditions", that they will not refund. Well, I never saw the .otf designation and you can't complete a purchase without agreeing to the "Terms & Conditions" so I'm out my money. They are more interested in sales than customer service or customer satisfaction. It's just disappointing how things operate these days.
March 2026--after writing about my experience, I was later contacted by someone else at MyFonts and they offered a remedy. I repurchased one of the fonts I was wanting singularly. When that was done, I sent the order number and they refunded my original purchase, and directly sent me a .TTF file of one of the fonts I was wanting. So it is working in AutoCAD now.
I am grateful for this action and feel less taken advantage of. I have changed my review from 2 to 3 stars, mostly because I'm not sure I would have been recontacted without taking the time to review what happened to me.
Thank you MyFonts for reaching back out and thank you TrustPilot for giving me a platform.

"Your order is free of charge. No payment is required."
But the free font demos could only downloaded with paypal oder creditcard informations.
Why should I give MyFonts my payment data for free stuff? That is not trustworthy.
Update 1/answer comment: I did not finished the order, because i don`t give you my finance data for free stuff.
Update 2: MyFonts tried to delete my review. While reconstructing the purchase process to provide evidence, I noticed that the “Buy” button can now be clicked without entering financial details. Therefore, I am increasing my rating from 1 star to 2 stars. It now works, but deleting the review was unprofessional.

Worked fine for me. Purchased the font no problem and downloaded it easily. Didn't experience any of the issues that others are reporting.

Tried to identify a font and was told it was one of 71 fonts

They do not identify the actual font; the suggested the font (from your sample) is a font they design (to avoid copyright violations) so they can sell to you .
You think at least the font you pay for will be close to the sample submitted? RARELY, MOST OFTEN IT IS NOT. They have multiple domains associated with fonts at the same address in Woburn Massachusetts.
As they cannot sell a copyright font, they make up a series of their own fonts and direct you to them regardless of whether they are even close to the sample you submit.
Base on this ..it is a scam. Look at google reviews, shame on this guy. Get a real job.

I am not exaggerating when I say, the WORST customer service I have ever experienced... I sent video, screenshots, etc of the issue. Fonts shown and downloaded were not the same. then the rep disappears for about 10 minutes, comes back and asks for a different screenshot, one I did not provide, of the entire page, not just the listed issue. When I went to check, the fonts were magically fixed. What was shown, now looks like what is downloaded.. Then agrees that the screenshots of what I ordered were not what was downloaded and told me I must have accidentally clicked something. Refused to refund me at all. In the end, just had to report the charge as fraud and send my bank the chatlog and screenshots. Easy peasy. That being said, under NO CIRCUMSTANCE should you purchase from these people. After I told the rep that he was no help and either inept or it's company policy to screw over customers, he processed a refund. Thankfully. So at least there's that.

This font website never worked and still has bugs all over the place. The interface is a joke, and loading fonts just stops working after a few pages—not handy when trying to do a proper search. Also, the 'WhatTheFont' tool is an absolute nightmare. If you can't get your product in order, then why be there in the first place? This is driving designers mad, nothing more...

This is the end of professional fonts... we are forced to use Google & Co.
I bought the insanely expensive DIN Pro for a client's PPT template. MS offers the feature to embed fonts so my client can work with the template and not have to worry about installing fonts. Not so with the restricted Myfonts/Monotype, which do not allow embedding fonts. I suppose if you want to send a PDF file to a print shop, you will soon have the same problem. So Myfonts fonts and their font policy are worthless. So designers are forced to work with MS Arial in the future... :)

I accidentally purchased an unneeded font. I replied to them right away and asked for a refund. I'm a past customer and a motion design firm.
They want me to purchase another font of a similar value and then they'll reimburse for the first font. Seriously? How is this good customer service or even legal?

We used MyFonts.com to purchase a package of fonts for our mobile game. We were honestly doing our due diligence and trying to be good citizens because you can pirate the fonts online for free, but we're going public, and we should own the license to everything we use for launch. As soon as my art lead opened up the file after purchase--same day, within minutes--we realized that the basic pack did not have the fonts a basic pack should have. In fact, we would have to buy two different packs to get the core 8 fonts because of the way MyFonts split them up. We wrote to them immediately upon finding this and asked for a refund, we've deleted the files, but they will not bend at all. All they will do is exchange, but that won't work because of the weird way they split up the fonts. It's such bad business, punishing the good guys who are willing to actually pay vs. pirate. We'll be using an open source font instead and never use MyFonts again.

All fonts cost a lot of money, Who in their right mind would pay $50 for a font?
Monotype has been the owner of MyFonts since 2012. It is not clear exactly when, but without alerting any of their customers, this company which constitutes a near monopoly of font sales and distribution, have removed years and years of orders from the MyFonts download page. In my particular case, that represents hundreds and hundreds of dollars.
Those downloads are no longer available.
It is totally unethical not to give clients the opportunity to re-download these fonts before the orders are deleted. I am beyond outraged and bereft.
I was concerned by the reviews here but also know people only tend to review after a bad experience so I'm here to share my good one.
Ordered a font, downloaded it and installed it no problem. Would use again.
This website is incredibly frustrating to navigate and uses unnecessary, difficult buttons. Reaching customer support is nearly impossible, and the fonts don’t even download. The site constantly loops you back to the same pages, making the entire experience maddening.
I wouldn't recommend purchasing anything from here—it feels like a scam.
Worked perfectly for me, i used a font that i really liked in 2021, but i lost that font because my pc got hard reset and the font name was not easy to remember. fast forward to 2024 i tried Myfont by uploading a screenshot of a image where i used that font. and WOHOO, i got the exact font. thanks
This seems like a scam website, and their installation processes are really odd. Be very careful buying anything from here, you won't get your money back.
Uploading Webfonts to your server is a long, not friendly process and fundamentally, incompatible with most online portfolios. Avoid purchasing fonts here if you are not very skilled with code. They don't mention this inconvenience during the purchase and don't offer either a refund or service support. Having extended experience with fonts didn't help me to get these installed. Overall, terrible experience.
Scam. Site recommends false fonts which look similar in order to make money. A simple scan of Roboto font gave me all sorts of patented fonts except Roboto itself. Avoid this website.
