I appreciated my service rep, Kranth, Webdomain...not so much.
I appreciated my service rep, Kranth. I found him very, very helpful, knowledgeable, and efficient. My beef is with how mydomain, web.com, and domain.com are managing the consolidation. Franly speaking, I hate it and I am planning to move. I've been with MyDoamin for over ten years, and the new owners have messed up everything. What a hassle trying to navigate through these three sites to MyDoamin.
Acquired by Web.com and screwed over their customers
They were great until they merged or were acquired by Web.com. The transition, with no prior notice, has been an absolute nightmare and they didn't negotiate to have the new registrar honor the existing services when they took over that we've had for over a decade.
MyDomain.com looks like it's defunct now, so this is just for future reference in case they decide to resurrect their brand. Their past actions should absolutely haunt them if they come back around.
Total rip off after years of loyalty
I have been with mydomain.com one year after they began; a loyal client for years; years!
There was the occasional hiccup but that's technology.
Then along comes web.com
Not only has it been a horrific mess but they have now taken money without permission.
I had set 3 domains not to renew through the renewal center as instructed by support.
No problem; I set a few domains not to renew as well as multiple email accounts.
However, web.com decides to renew anyway without permission!
The CSR this morning tells me that they are set to auto renew, which I had specifically changed not to do.
Where do they get off changing my choices?
I had also removed a number of defunct domains in my account. Guess what?
You guessed it!
They are all back in my account and set to renew!
I go to the renewal center and now I don't have the option to change it. It is greyed out!
Check the box beside the domain and it stays greyed out!
I am going to have to move everything to godaddy and then close my account.
The biggest issue with that is this; when you change nameservers it can take up to 7 days to propagate and the websites and email accounts will stop working at one point until the propagation is completed.
I'm stuck in a corner!
Our one service site relies on the daily orders we get during the RV season, which only lasts till October.
Our website ottawavalleyrv.com is down again today and is escalated to the engineers level which is a 24 to 48 hour wait.
More money lost without compensation.
What a SCAM!
Stay far away from these scammers!
Absolutely shocking price increases…
Absolutely shocking price increases after their "merger" with Web.com... it's not, they were already the same company group.
Leave this domain host immediately, there are so many other better value and better service hosters available.
Terrible service
This is the slowest login among all domain name service provider websites. In the past few days, their website has been unable to be opened. Help emails have been bounced. It takes at least 15 minutes to wait for online services. However, it cannot solve any problems. I will Transfer all domain names immediately.
The worst domain registrar I have met
The worst domain registrar I have met. Doesn't respect customer data privacy and has security system the company doesn't trust itself.
This is a very unprofessional company…
This is a very unprofessional company in my opinion. The phone line is down for customer support; chat support took approximately 30 minutes before connected to an agent and then after 1+ hours on the chat the agent disconnected without resolving my issue.
Zero help from the chat
I found 2 phone numbers for customer service, but the phone doesn't even ring, or it rings forever and then disconnects. I started an online chat because I just found out that my cellphone isn't accepting emails sent to my business email address for the past 2 months! The person on chat was extremely slow responding to every sentence I typed, then never answered many of my questions, kept saying I had over 6000 emails in my phone's trash folder, when I have only 9! I even asked the person to put another operator on the line and they refused.
Miserable customer service
MyDomain has hosted several of my domains for many years. A few years ago they discontinued telephone technical service, replaced it with chat and increased their prices. Upon initiating a chat, you wait up to 30 minutes for a “technician” who typically isn’t technical. If you fail to respond to their greeting within a minute or two, they terminate the conversation and you start over. Another 30 minutes wasted. MyDomain is the most frustrating, miserable, terrible companies I have ever dealt with. I’m looking for a new web host.

I would not register here. Go elsewhere.
Like someone else here, I used to be fine with this. Simple domain name hosting, using DNS to my pages elsewhere. Now ridiculous charges ($170) for 'hosting'. I am moving.
Honestly the most frustrating service
Honestly the most frustrating service!
"Customer Service" happens exclusively through a chat, where the agents follow a very specific script. No deviations, no exceptions to anything. And conveniently no number to call when you have a bigger issue.
Their refund policy is 15 days, so if you don't catch an off charge in time, your out of luck. No exceptions, even if it is their error.
They upped their charges by $6 this year, yet the website we have through them has been unavailable multiple times.
Despite the fact the website builder is cheaper than others and user friendly, it's not worth it. In a world where there are other user friendly domain hosts, this one is not worth it. Do yourself a favor and avoid.
best service
Nobody home
There's currently no way to contact support for mydomain.com at all. For two months they've had a banner on their chat page warning that they're in the middle of upgrading their chat. I don't believe any upgrade process can take that long. Their posted phone numbers go to a recording directing you to use chat. Emails to their support email address direct you to use chat, and also provide dead links to support knowledge bases.
I will be transferring my domains.
