I bought a set of Carote pots and pans from a Walmart black Friday sale. This was the worst purchase I have ever made.
I mostly used the frying pans. After some use, the inside turned gray, and the outside is impossible to clean. Anything that splattered on the sides could not be cleaned. I tried everything, but the pans looked as if they had never been cleaned, with brown stains all over the outside.

Received 3 sets as Christmas gifts that my husband and I picked out. Within 4 months one of the pots/pans from each set already had chipping of the ceramic all around the edges as well as inside on the bottom. We only use silicone utensils and hand wash and we have had cheaper no name brand ceramic cookware in the past that lasted well over a year before any scratches/chipping and we were not as careful with the cheap ones because we figured they were poor quality anyways. We expected Carote to be much better quality and made sure to do everything right because we wanted these to last since they cost way more but in reality they’re way poorer quality. I reached out to customer service since these defects should be covered under warranty and the response I got was “the chips and scratches are normal from use of spatulas and hard foods” I’m sorry, but they expect their cookware to start chipping after only 4 months?!!! That is ridiculous and shows they were not built to last!!! Save your money and just buy the cheaper ceramic cookware, it lasts way longer and they actually honor their warranties!!!

Purchased Carote brand 5 piece knife set cheaply to use for work (over purchasing one knife for same price) and surprisingly the knives tackle well for cutting fruit and bagels for their cheap cost.

We bought a big set (24 pieces) at Walmart. They looked beautiful: black with wooden look handles. It was just over some months that we thought why do we have black paint on our kitchen linen and even some dinner chairs. Finally we discovered that the outside of the pans are not well coated. And give off so much black paint. Unfortunately no receipt anymore and having to thow the a way.

Just bought my first set last month. Bought them on sale for $45 regular price $100 from Walmart com. Wanted to try the detachable handles. Everything was going good. Tonight I cooked 2 grilled cheese sandwiches in the pan and now have gray stains on the inside from where the pan burnt. Hoping to get the stains off I have only had them for 3 weeks and threw away the box so can't return to Walmart. Won't be buying this brand again. Will go back to using my Pioneer Woman set

Worst waste of money. Nonstick works ok, but bottom of pan turns gray. You can't clean sides of pans. Mine look like they have never been cleaned. Finally threw out 1st frying that got so nasty looking and I'm about to throwing out the others. DON'T BUY

Bought a set of knives. Did not last 6 months and started coming apart. Company wouldn’t back warranty, This companies product is horrible and I would never consider buying from them again. I gave them 1 star because there was a lower rating.

Worst pans and customer service I have ever used. Won't stand behind their product. I have multiple pans from them that stained brown in no time. Less than a year old.

The bottom of the pans have a silver to black coating after the pan is H and washed! It gets all over your hands and the sink! How can I get this to stop?

Bought a 21 piece set for Christmas. Abided by all the rules. Hand washed everything with dawn. Went to use a small pot to boil water and the plastic coating is coming off. It has only been 2 weeks! This is the worst pan set i have ever bought. Dont waste your money.

I live in the uk and bought the full set with utensils as I needed a set suitable for an induction cooktop- absolutely LOVE them, they arrived on time well packed, they look great and are surprisingly light weight, the wash beautifully and are great on the hob and in the oven, can’t recommend them enough!

I ordered a set of these from their web site for £50. I have not received them after over 1 month. I have sent emails to their customer service email but just keep getting replies asking me to be patient. The last email I received said that my email could not be delivered.

I ordered this a set of cookware from Carote via Walmart. It arrived on May 31 and was inappropriate for my use (HUGE pans). I returned it to Walmart on June 1, 2025. I have contacted both Walmart and Carote via the Walmart customer service website. It is August 7, and the only response I’ve gotten is that my money has been refunded. I have looked thru my online bank statements and have called my bank repeatedly: no such refund for the amount paid has been deposited into my account and Walmart/Carote say that they have “cleared” their accounts of my “refund” and nothing more can be done. I am out just under $100; as a senior on SS, this is no small matter for me. DO NOT BUY AND EXPECT A REFUND IF RETURNED.

I bought a couple of the pans at Walmart and I absolutely love them. I decided I want a set so I have ordered from the website multiple times with zero success. I get an order confirmation screen, told my order would ship within 24 hours and nada. Granted, I also am never charged so that’s a good thing. I’ve tried to contact customer service and am told it has to be escalated to a different department, but I’m never contacted back and nothing is resolved. It’s extremely frustrating! You’d think they’d want the sale, but apparently not.

Its been a month since i ordered my pan and i never received it. I have sent multiple emails to customer service but they seem to ignore me.

UPDATE - After posting this review they reconsidered their position and have sent me out a replacement, so I have changed the review to 3 stars instead of 1.

Don't use this company! I bought a Carote pan from them and after a few uses the handle snapped off, away from the pan.
I emailed Chloe at customer services to ask for a replacement handle and after a couple of emails back and forth with me sending pictures of the handle and pan, she replied saying with:
"Our warranty covers manufacturing defects, but unfortunately, damages resulting from usage or mishandling (such as the handle snapping during use) are not covered under our policy".
So using the pan normally, and the handle snapping off whilst holding it by the handle is not grounds to be sent a replacement handle, apparently!
Although surely there must have been a manufacturing defect in the first place for the handle to snap off...
Any other reputable company would just send out a replacement handle.
Not happy. Pan now going in the bin. What a waste.

I got an ivory set for Christmas so have used them less than 3 months. They are scratched, stained, and come out of the dishwasher covered in a silver/black residue which has stained my cabinet. I wipe the residue away and it happens every wash. I can only assume it’s from screws or something in the lids and handle or something in the bottom of the pans. The residue concerns me so I will be replacing this set with a set I do not have to worry about a possibly toxic residue.

I got these pots and pans as a Christmas gift and I was so excited I had just got a brand new stove so I wanted new ones. Followed my mothers instructions to use on low heat, wash with paper towels and soap and water never a sponge. They are stained brown and on the sides and hasn’t even been three months. I will be buying a new set with a different company very disappointing.

Unfortunately these pans are no good. They scratch extremely easily, they loose their colour due to heat .. I only have them for 8 months and they need replacing.
