Couldn’t recommend these guys enough. Really impressed with the service and the communication.

I had 2 inspections completed and they saved me from buying a car with a load of underlying problems.

Alan coordinated the inspection and kept me updated throughout the process. Jim conducted the inspection itself and was really thorough with his report; it was also clear to see that he had spent a lot of time going through the finer details. The report was professionally presented and was followed up with supporting images. On both occasions, I was able to have a good conversation with Jim over the phone to get his valued opinion.

If you’re buying a used car, I would highly recommend using My Car Inspections.

The pre-purchase checks were extensive and thorough. The post inspection report was professionally presented, with clear accompanying photographs. The engineer was prompt, polite and honest.

What struck me the most was the assistance provided that is not shown as part of the service report: the engineer had knowledgeable, balanced views about the car make, model and the market in general, which were invaluable in making the purchase decision.

To be honest, I'm struggling to think of any fault or failing with their service that would give the review more balance. I recommend My Car Inspections wholeheartedly.

First classic car i wanted inspected they stopped contacting me when they knew i was having it inspected, so saved me money by default. Second classic car was at auction, I recieved loads of photos of sub standard areas and a complete in depth written report from the engineer. Saved me a lot of money. Friendly professional company I would highly recommend.

Highly recommend this service, which I used in the Hereford area, the mechanic Jim was absolutely professional and friendly, certainly knew his stuff, a very legit company with quality, knowledgable engineers/inspectors. Recommend.

I was quite stressed about purchasing a vehicle that I had not test driven or seen and so I was checking online for independent inspection people for cars. I am sooooo glad I found mycarinspections- they arranged the appointment with the dealer inspected the car (far better and detailed than I or any of my family/friends could have done) and produced a report with pics and detailed checks on literally everything that you need - electrics brakes clutch non electrics body wear history etc. I have had a 1hour call to go through the report and the detail I have received I doubt any other company that is in this field can match - ( definitely not for the price) - Alan who arranged the whole process is so prompt and efficient communication wise and Jim who did the inspection was such a valuable person to know. I think the £175 I paid is dirt cheap for what I received and I truly hope that these types of genuine businesses go from strength to strength as they provide amazing value add. I reside in Preston- car was 6 hours away - so clearly an amazing amazing result. I have pictures a detailed report with 6 or 7 tabs covering different aspects and on top I spoke with the inspection person. The biggest gain peace of mind- Can AA/RAC match these guys? I doubt it - Can they match for price - Impossible.

Alan and Jim were so helpful and professional, going the extra mile to help us out dealing with a dishonest car dealer. They were so supportive and communicative. So glad we used them.

Extremely happy with the service from My Car Inspections. Within 24 hours of my original enquiry they contacted me had it booked in and completed the inspection (all on a Sunday) by Monday evening I had a full comprehensive report and they were available immediately to answer any follow up questions. Having used a few car inspections company’s in the past these were by far the best and I will continue to use.

Like many, I do get a little fatigued by our endless review culture, but the fact that these guys haven't asked or prompted me to do this is partly why I'm bothering. Really, their service was excellent. In little more than 24 hours I was in receipt of a very comprehensive report with images, telling me everything I needed to know and more. Furthermore, the engineer was more than happy to discuss some of the finer points over the telephone. Great service at a fair price. Will definitely use again.

These guys may be cheaper than their better known rivals but the service I received just proves paying more isn’t always the best option. Shout out to Alan who was incredibly helpful and responsive. If it wasn’t for them I would of made some potentially dangerous and costly car purchases. I’ve used them several times now and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

I had lost hope with the Car Dealer who who sold me accident damage car which he did not disclose and said it’s Roadworthy.. After having doubts I contact Jim in Birmingham he made a full report with photos and then the Dealer refunded my £6000 in the Report it said where the impact was in the accident and the Car was sold as Unroadworthy.I would recommend them for the report.

Very easy and professional experience from initial contact, made a booking over a weekend and inspection was organised for the following Monday afternoon. Report was very detailed including pictures, communication was excellent I was even able to phone the engineer post inspection, great to be able to talk and discuss the report. Would highly recommend and money well spent. I did not proceed with the purchase.

Note, this is a genuine review, not an "invited review". Politely I would say, that I did book, but cancelled and booked another firm because A) they only started their company three months ago (Inspect My Car Ltd Company number 12650225 Incorporated on 8 June 2020 B) T&C on their site feel rather limiting, refering to not removing any component for checks. Makes it feel like they're not checking oil levels etc. C) Motor dealer advised me they had not booked a slot, too long had passed.
D) they didn't provide a sample report.

So politely we cancelled, and went elsewhere as it felt like they hadn't started on the right foot to us.

Fantastic service. We were let down by the AA on the day they were due to do a pre-purchase inspection on a vehicle and the owner didn't want to hold it any longer. I called My Car Inspections and they pulled out all the stops and were able to do a same day inspection for us! The inspection was great, really thorough and provided us with a very honest and respectful report with lots of photos which enabled us to have the confidence to decide whether or not to go forward with the purchase. I would definitely recommend them.

Exceptional service. I opted for the N and S class specialist inspection. The inspection was exceptionally thorough and detailed! I'd definitely definitely use this service again when buying a car I am unsure of. I ended up not buying the car based on the report, which probably saved me a huge mistake and a lot of money down the line

Jim carried out the inspection on a 20 year old car we were looking to purchase and thanks to his thorough work and diligence we had solid information and facts to decide not to go ahead with the purchase. We had picked up on some inconsistencies during the viewing and when we discussed Jim's very comprehensive report with him our niggles turned in to more solid concerns. Jim was also able to pick up on MOT advisories which was not available either on the GOV website or the HPI check service which we normally use to get an idea of historical issues. For us it was well worth the up front investment to mitigate against a potential costly mistake. Will definitely use this service again - thank you Jim and thank you RAC for not offering this service during the covid-19 lock down, their loss, My Car Inspections and our gain :)

Great review, very thorough, uncovered some questionable work which illustrated the true condition of the car and helped me avoid what could very well have been a money pit. The engineer was extremely helpful and took his time going over the report too.

A good service all round, engineer good to speak with and took my call in the evening time. Even the garage were impressed with one spot he made! I would use the service again.
