Dodgy policy, do not pay for this

Had sofa less than 2 years, got a hole only small, made a claim online. It was accepted. Weeks and weeks later i get told the fabric has been discontinued so they are refunding me to 199 bucks i paid for insurance and they are cancelling the policy. Could not beleive there is a clause that if they cant be bothered to problem solve they just cancel the policy. What a joke. Customer service was terrible they expect you to just be happy that you get your money back and to get lost, no care for the fact this product is sold as a insurance when its just a dodgy scheme to get 199 bucks from hundreds of people and hope people never make a claim, not that they will help.
100% false advertising but they advised me my issue is with harvey norman not them.
Total waste of time, money and overall dodgy company. Read clause 12c before you buy

BEWARE they don't have you covered

“We’ve got you covered” is their slogan proudly emblazoned on the website- well that’s a lie, because they don’t !

Had a wine spill on the couch recently (care cover cover purchased from Freedom Furnitures smooth talking salesperson who made us feel like if there’s any accident or damage it would be covered by repair or replacement)

After the spill I immediately stripped the covers and tried valiantly to dab at the stain with the fabric kit which did absolutely nothing! Contacted care cover on the 1st march and they accepted the claim 2nd march, wow I thought off to a good start!

Had to follow up a week later as no call form the technician- Technician finally came on the 16th of March (2 weeks later!!) took my covers away and returned them a week later unable to get the stains out - not surprising because after 2 weeks of waiting for the technician the stain had lodged itself firmly in the fabric! However they did manage to melt a hole or two through the other side of the fabric !

No word from care cover - followed up with an email -they blamed the technician for not submitting his report (he had) -then no word from care cover at all- followed up with 3 more emails finally got an email on the 14th of April (one and a half months AFTER the incident) telling me firstly to read the T's and C's before replying- then at "at our "sole discretion", we have decided to refund the cost of the Accidental Protection Warranty (APW) back to you in full. “ Why thank you- that has not actually repaired my couch in anyway!!

What an utter cop out! Their terms and conditions basically allow them to not fix the problem at all- so now I sit with a stained expensive couch! and a worthless policy- which I apparently don't have anymore.

This company does not deserve to be in business they offer false and misleading advertising and someone should shut them down so they can't keep taking innocent peoples money!

Was misled about this product

Was misled about this product. Never provided any T&C. The products doesn't work at all and nothing is covered, one of the staff told me they are trained to deny any claims. Disgusting.

Trash insurance waste of money

They will find every excuses(7days claim time only after damage and when you lodge a claim their reply goes to junk mail directly and when you notice about that, it's already past seven days , Also they will say the damage is not caused by one time to decline the claim but they don't have any evidence only base on their 'experience' ) to avoid the reparation that should be covered by the insurance. I have a very bad experience deal with them.

So disappointed by this service

So disappointed by this service. We got ballpoint pen on the couch (thanks toddler) and when a contractor couldn’t get it out with normal fabric clean, care cover said they won’t do any more and refunded the product. It was clearly sold into us incorrectly at Freedom and certainly won’t be purchasing or recommending to anyone.

They shouldn’t be allowed to sell this

It should not be legal to sell this product. Freedom does not explain all the t&c’s when they sell it to you such as needing to lodge a claim within 5 days and limitations on water spillage etc. You only find out about this if you read the t&c’s sheet that comes in the mail with their cleaning products. There are so many conditions and exclusions that it is almost impossible to claim successfully.

Lack of transparency

One needs to go on the website to realise you are only covered for five days after an accident happens, nothing on or in box which I have accessed several times to use their cleaner.
Freedom should disclose this fact when buying the warranty as five days is a short time frame. I forwarded the claim didn’t hear back, when I called Steve in the office, incidentally I found him difficult to deal with, he told me an email had been sent, I couldn’t see it but who knows.
Another company Guardianship disclose this condition on their box so very transparent, much easier company to deal with.
My recommendation to Freedom is use Guardianship who also supply free scotch guard on purchase and treat the lounge.
Do not buy carecovers warranty

Do not buy this- we bought it for two…

Do not buy this- we bought it for two lounges and they denied our cat scratching the lounge, even though it was explicitly stated to us it covers for pet damage. Absolute scam. Should not be allowed to operate or be sold by furniture companies.

Complete Rip-Off.

DO NOT BUY THIS COVER, IT IS WORTHLESS.
I was sold this policy on the understanding that it covered fabric cleaning and/or repair in the event of an accident. The sales person at Freedom Furniture described it as "like an insurance policy for your couch". After 18 months, my new kitten had an accident on the couch soiling three cushions. I immediately made a claim complete with photos and full documentation. My claim was approved for the cleaning of one cushion only. When I enquired I was told that as part of the terms and conditions, only one cushion is covered in the event of a claim. This is not the cover I thought I was buying. I would never have agreed to paying $200 for such a worthless policy. The cat had a single accident that resulted in damage to three cushions and I am told that only one cushion will be cleaned. Imagine if you were sold a car insurance policy where the terms and conditions stated that in the event of an accident only one panel will be repaired. THIS COVER IS A SCAM. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS, IT IS A SCAM. I bought the cover through freedom for my couch. I left some information out of my claim. By the time I got back back to them I was a couple of days outside the warranty period and told, too bad.

Wouldn't waste your money

Wouldn't waste your money. I payed for the extra cover on our couch, when we needed it I was denied the claim because I accidentally made a mistake on the claim form. After explaining to them I was told, too bad. Disgusting service

Happy Customer

Im really happy with this company so far.I logged an issue with my bathroom sink and I was updated within half an hour of when the workman would attend. I Waited just a little over 2 hours. The sink was fixed on the same day and the workman cleaned up his mess before leaving.
