Great teacher

I cannot rate music teachers highly enough. Their administration is consistently excellent and very caring. Their music platform and teacher quality is great and the sound quality online is the best I've come across. Far better than zoom or Teams

I was a member of MusicTeachers for years, as a teacher with a lot of experience and an active and varied professional profile I found the service useful for finding students in my area. When they changed their system to a system where they took away my autonomy and effectively take a cut of my fees for even less service I quit and have been just using word of mouth and the EPTA (of which I am a member) to acquire new students. I recently looked into signing up again but see that they are still working on the same basis. Some ‘disruptive’ business plans benefit both suppliers and clients, but this model benefits no one except the bank accounts of the platform owner who I imagine has never had a proper music lesson in his life. My advice is to steer clear, use word of mouth, and established organisations that actually serve musicians rather than taking a cut of their (already woeful) income. You can’t get quality music lessons using a system that doesn’t encourage full face to face environments and direct professional and financial engagement between provider and end-user. All music teachers has done is get between the teachers and the students with a fancy tech interface and held its hand out for money. Thats not a sustainable business model.

Very happy with my teacher. Makes it easier for me than having to go somewhere nearby for a lesson (and saves time), and finding a local teacher would have been harder. I like how I get email reminders so that I don't forget lessons. It's easy to book lessons and they can be purchased in blocks. Platform is user-friendly and easy to interact with and I haven't had any problems (have been using it about 6 months). Very pleased with my experience.

We have a really good piano teacher (Joel). We have been having lessons for 18 months or so. My son says he’s a really good teacher and explains everything well. My son recently achieved his grade 1 in piano with a distinction. My daughter who has special education needs also has lessons with him. He is very patient with her. We haven’t had any problems booking and paying for lessons either with the company. Overall, very pleased.

Our teacher is very kind and friendly. He came on time. His communication is very good.we are happy for all.

Since joining the site as a teacher recently, the team, especially James at musicteachers.co.uk has been nothing other than supportive and informative in how the site functions, as well as going the extra mile in offering students an entail meeting to set up their technology for online lessons. This support function is invaluable. When starting out, I was given a thorough tour of the site and although only 15 mins was allocated, James went above and beyond to make me feel at ease and comfortable with the sites functionality. By providing these levels of support, teachers and students are able to dive straight into teaching/learning. Any student or teacher thinking of using musicteachers.co.uk I would highly recommend they do so. It’s secure, promotes a robust level of support for both parties and is easy to use and book lessons with students from around the U.K.

I love my lessions with Despina Ioannou. She is a wonderful teacher and takes me "where I am at" each week. Playing guitar was something I had always wanted to do, but I was so busy with work and family, that it was only possible to start at age 48! Now, 3.5 years later, it has become a very important part of my life. When I started I didn't know a single note! Now I have the great joy of playing almost daily, and I can play a range of musical styles. I can't thank Despina enough for all her excellent teaching, careful musical selection, and continued encouragement.

I had the first lesson with Emma, since the beginning she made me fell comfortable, she explained me what we’d have done and how: from the warmup to approach to the song I have chosen. I was really happy at the end and I can’t wait to have another lesson.

The teacher helped with any questions i had and responded fairly quickly. He also went through things in the lesson quite thoroughly and gave me advice on how to improve with my instrument such as holding techniques.

This platform has worked very well for finding a piano teacher locally and communicating as well as payments etc, no issues and happy to recommend!

Really great website, it’s easy to use and I like the way I can book my lessons either as single or a block. I have found a great teacher too she is really patient and supportive.
