We needed to know whether we had cavity wall insulation and, if so, what it was like. Niall came to survey our house, showed us internal cavity photos of urea formaldehyde foam that was failing and showing void areas, and was very clear about how hard it is to remove.
Angela sent us a quote that was much better than those we later obtained from larger companies who mostly did not even survey the job. We happily accepted.
Niall and Martyn arrived on time and did a thoroughly professional job. They were great to work with, being very polite, well-organised and with an obvious intention to do a thorough job. They had suggested three days for removal and replacement but it turned out to need four, so they came back on a Saturday to complete it at no additional cost. We understood from the start that removing this type of failing foam insulation is a messy job, so we took pains to cover internal plaster cracks etc and are glad we did. With hindsight, we should have put plastic sheeting on the loft floor, because the extraction shoots foam powder out of the top of the cavity where it cannot be reached to block it during the extraction process. However, that can be dealt with.
After the work was finished all external areas were thoroughly cleaned so that you would hardly know what had been done. They even washed down the windows.
It turns out that many insulation companies contract out foam extraction and charge a small fortune for it, simply because they don't really want the job. That is not what Multi-Therm did. They were honest about the whole process and I happily recommend them.
Even better, only five days after completion we have been able to drop our thermostat setting by over a degree, which is what we wanted toi achieve. Thanks very much

What a refreshing change to get a company who are so honest. We made an enquiry about cavity wall insulation as we were unsure whether we needed it. Martyn came to assess it and assured us we had it and there was no need to replace it. He could have advised that it needed changing but he was honest and said no need. Angela also was very efficient and communicated with us from day one. Although we can’t comment on their work from our experience they are great to deal with and expect the quality of their work is the same.

What a great service, from the day of quotation to day we had the job done they have been professional, very informative and kept in communication. The work carried out was done thoroughly and top quality. The men were lovely and the clean up was refreshing, all mess was tidied away and cleaned down, nothing further for us to do. Would highly recommend.

Ask for Several quotes from different companies Martin came and the best words I can say he was honest in what was needed as increase in price from original quote given but explained why and what they needed to do to meet building standard and guarantee. Multi-therm Insulations of Dinnington did our cavity wall on 12 April 2024 and we were very impressed with the whole company. It was complicated by having old fashioned hollow glazed bricks, some of which had been painted over. Angela arranged a survey and Martyn came out to inspect our walls and advise us. We were happy with the value of the quote and the work was done a few weeks later, professionally and tidily. Anything we were unsure about was explained to us. We felt that the whole team cared about the quality of their work and it being of the highest standard. We were given a guarantee certificate and a clear, detailed invoice. Wow Niall and Martyn and Angela have been excellent from our very first communication to the finish of our cavity wall extraction and refilling. I was shown inside our walls via camera watched and saw an unbelievable amount rubble come out including a dead wasps nest. Worked meticulously throughout the day and everything cleaned up afterwards. Instantly the house felt warmer and insulated as it had reduced the road traffic noise immensely. Up to press we have had no condensation in our windows. I would have no doubt in recommending this family firm to anyone. Before our home was colder as inferior insulation had been skimped on many years ago and the difference now is amazing. Thank you for a wonderful job done we really appreciate it.

Couldn’t be happier with the Multi-therm team’s work! We needed old failed cavity wall insulation removing, after receiving multiple quotes from large nationwide company’s that didn’t even survey the property prior we found Multi-therm.
All work was completed in the specified time, everything was cleaned after the work was complete and we were shown lots of photos and videos of within our cavity to reassure us the job was complete.
Additionally all the team have been extremely friendly & a pleasure to have doing work for us, highly recommend!

After many years trying to find a company to remove my broken down foam cavity wall insulation, I found Multi-Therm and Angela contacted me very quickly to advise me of the procedure and I confirmed my interest.
After a few days, a survey was completed and after confirming that work could be done, it was booked for February. Having swapped to an ASHP last year, this was something I really was wanting completed.
Martyn and Neil arrived and drilled holes, removed bricks and used a massive vacuum to suck the old insulation out of the walls, assisted by air blown through the holes.
On the second day, they completed removal and spent the rest of the day refillng with the bonded beads. This was carried out very efficiently and all holes were filled and bricks were replaced. Finally all brick dust was cleaned and area swept leaving it clean and tidy.
The team were very friendly, professional and so happy to explain how things worked.
It was great to learn how the beads still allowed air to move to keep the cavity dry and trap air to keep the warmth in!
A great company and I must recommend them if you need cavity insulation extracted and refilled.
A thermometer I have that is leaning against an external wall in our hallway was reading 3 to 4 c less than if moved just 50 cm from the wall. Now the temperature drop is only half a degree. This is with a 2 degree outside temp. Amazing!

The whole process was fantastic from start to finish. The response time was great to arrange the survey and then when it was booked in the guys were here from 8.30am, very professional, friendly and tidied up the mess that was made. I'm looking forward now to a nice warm house. Great job guys and would highly recommend.

I needed a professional job doing so contacted a Uk professional trade body and Multitherm where recomended.
My detatched house had previously had its cavity walls insulated with foam during the 1980s.
Multitherm removed the old foam with their extraction equipment and refilled with Bonded EPS poly beads.
Total fill and total bond .
House feels warmer and surprisingly it has reduced external noise.
Martin and his lad where very pleasent and can be left un attended.
I am attempting now to limit my use of my gas central heating and the install costs will be soon recouped .
Good job .
I believe EPS beads should last the life of the house and help me transition to a green heating source in the future.
