SCAM WARNING
This company is a really a scam whether that is their intent or not.
I noticed they have removed their Google page so their bad Google reviews are no longer visible and I can't leave the review that I said I would there.
I am only giving 1* as I can't leave a negative number!
I booked this cleaning service but the first red flag should have been that when I paid Michael asked me for the bank code that is sent to my phone which comes by SMS with the important message that it should not be given to anyone else. He assured me this was just the way his payment system worked but thankfully I wasn't comfortable with it and paid via an alternative method.
Leanne was the cleaner that was selected for me and she was supposed to meet me and see the house before she started which she eventually did after a series of delays one of which included a hospital trip. Surprisingly enough she did actually turn up on the day that she was supposed to although she was an hour late despite apparently living within walking distance from my house.
However, turn up was about all she did. She spent 3 hours in my house which I had left tidy so that all she had to do was clean but she didn't even manage to clean my single bathroom or dust the furniture or get the cobwebs. And to think that I even tipped her for her service in the faith that next time would be better! I never saw her again, the next time I left my house before she arrived and she was a no show with zero communication. I contacted Michael at MTL immediately but there was no answer and I only eventually managed to make contact with him when I witheld my number and he answered my call immediately obviously hoping that I was a new customer.
Leanne actually "out of the blue" contacted me the same day ( how was I not surprised?) and said she would come the next time she was due... She did not.
MTL then scheduled me a new cleaner... Guess what... She delayed pre-viewing my house due to a hospital trip. Now, I love to give the benefit of the doubt but really the coincidence is not lost on me.
I signed up using their 50% off your first clean offer but apparently that's not applicable to the service I used although there is no mention of it being only applicable to certain services and he wasn't willing to refund me the 50% even as a goodwill gesture, however, 6 months after I signed up I'm still waiting for the refund he was going to give me that would be in my bank within 5-7 days for 3 months worth of missed cleans.
