Mr Porter offers a first class shop. As a pensioner my husband buys what he can afford. His style is Sprezzatura and would like to affordable products reflecting that classic relaxed style. Mr Porter has pretty much everything. And quality is superb.

The first product i have tried to return as faulty, 1 month old worn twice and the zip has broken. 2 weeks of sending emails and still no resolution.
Very poor service from a premium brand supplier, will start to use My Theresa.

UPDATE: After escalating the issue, MR PORTER ultimately provided a partial refund, which largely addressed the financial impact of the delay. I appreciate that they ultimately found a way to make things right.
I also recently received notice that MR PORTER has updated its Canadian shipping process. Orders are now shipped directly from Italy, prices are displayed in CAD, and duties are included upfront. I don't know whether experiences like mine contributed to that decision, but I am glad to see the company has improved the process for Canadian customers.
That said, the experience leading up to the resolution was disappointing enough that I feel it's important to document it for other customers.
I ordered a pair of Officine Creative loafers through MR PORTER ahead of my wedding, paying a significant premium over ordering directly from the manufacturer because MR PORTER advertised a 5-business-day delivery timeline and I expected a more reliable luxury shopping experience.
Instead, the order was substantially delayed, my emails regarding an urgent address change went unanswered, and I ultimately had to work directly with DHL myself to ensure the package reached me. The uncertainty became significant enough that I purchased a second pair of shoes rather than risk not having footwear for my wedding.
The shoes eventually arrived, but only after considerable stress, multiple follow-ups, and a level of involvement that I would not expect when purchasing from a premium retailer.
While I remain disappointed with the communication and execution, I do give MR PORTER credit for ultimately providing a fair financial resolution and improving the Canadian shipping experience going forward.
Overall, I expected a smoother experience given the premium pricing, but I appreciate that the company ultimately took steps to address the issue.

Smooth and efficient returns. Prompt delivery. Good quality goods. Fair price.
Parcel delivered by DHL while I was home — courier threw it through the garden gate without ringing, during heavy rain, leaving it soaked and destroyed on the ground. The courier then forged my signature on the delivery receipt, which falsely records the parcel as signed for by me in person.
Mr Porter customer service offered a return for refund but expected me to take the destroyed parcel to a drop-off point. I asked for a home collection instead. The representative stopped replying.
The delivery was negligent, the signature on the receipt is not mine, and the aftercare has been unresolved. Still waiting.
