Review of MrHost — An Extremely Negative Experience
I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by MrHost.
Before purchasing, I contacted support and explained in detail what I needed the VPS for: exclusively for personal use—specifically, to set up my own VPN/VLESS. I explicitly stated that I did not intend to grant access to third parties.
A support representative informed me that using a VPN on the VPS was only permitted after prior approval. I specifically confirmed that the server would be used solely by me. Despite this, complications arose after payment, and I never received a proper or prompt resolution to the issue.
What was particularly frustrating was that I had paid in advance, yet instead of a straightforward resolution, I was met with a drawn-out email exchange and long waits for replies. I repeatedly contacted support regarding a refund, only to wait days for an answer. There was no prompt response to my messages sent on September 3rd and 8th, either.
Ultimately, instead of a simple scenario—"client explains needs → receives confirmation → pays → receives service"—the situation turned into one where the client paid, wasted time on the approval process, and was then forced to fight to get a refund.
I would also note that while the site offers VPS and VPN services, the restrictions regarding using a VPS for VPN/VLESS only became a critical issue for me after I had already started the ordering process. If a specific type of usage is prohibited or requires individual approval, this should be made absolutely clear to the customer *before* payment, rather than turning into a lengthy correspondence *after* the purchase.
My experience with their support team left a very negative impression: long wait times, a lack of prompt feedback, and the need to repeatedly chase them for a refund of my own money.
I do not recommend this service to anyone who values prompt support, clear terms of use for VPS services, and a smooth refund process. Before paying, I strongly advise checking with support multiple times to confirm whether your specific use case is permitted and obtaining unequivocal written confirmation.
