I was really impressed with the care I received from Mr Dowen. He was quick and thorough in helping me diagnose my hip labrum tear and avascular necrosis, and took the time to explain my condition and discuss the options available to me. I found his honest, balanced approach relaxing and he helped me to decide on non-surgical treatments with him initially rather than rushing into surgery. This has worked tremendously. When I inevitably need to go under the knife, I will be returning to him for this.

He was professional, knowledgeable and kind throughout. I have found other surgeons to be far more likely to only discuss the most invasive approaches to managing my problems, but Mr Dowen was the opposite. We explored many options. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking an orthopaedic surgeon, especially if you value a doctor who takes the time to listen to you.

I have been really impressed by how quickly everything has moved, from the first consultation through to the MRI and the results appointment. Mr Dowen was thoroughly professional but also easy to talk to, and he took the time to walk me through the technical detail of the MRI report in plain terms. I left with a clear picture of my knee injury and what needed to happen next, and I'm grateful for both the speed and the care he showed.

On arrival in clinic the reception and x-ray arranagments were very well organised and prompt .Friendly and reassuring staff who explained all I needed to know .I was then very promptly seen by the consultant who had already studied the x-rays and who then spent time explaining the detail to me in a way that I was clearly able to understand. I was able to ask questions and never rushed, found this most reassuring and helpful .Would highly recommend
