We hired Transparent International …

We hired Transparent International movers back on October 2025 to move our stuff from San Sebastian, Puerto Rico to Hudson, NC USA. We where given prompt customer service until our belongings were picked up and we paid in full, $13,856.00. We were given 4 to 12 week delivery of goods. After 24 weeks and no delivery, we are now being ignored and they are not responding to our inquiries by phone, text, email, not even thru the BBB. The company they hired to pick up our stuff could not contact them and were not paid for there services. We are now paying them to deliver our belongings. We are now seeking a refund of our money. We are also joining a class action lawsuit. DONOT USE TRANSPARENT MOVING! They will take your money and loose your stuff.

If I could give 0 stars

If I could give 0 stars, I would.
I Started my move back in early Oct, and to this day have still not gotten my shipment. Absolutely abhorrent service. Quick to take your money, and then take some more for "overages", then ghost you. I think there is a Class Action in the works. I intend to join in if it's true.

Absolutely stay away from this company

Absolutely stay away from this company. They will hook you with great sales tactics and a better price than the known moving companies (that I have benefited from in the past with corporate moves). Once the payment is received, everything falls apart. I was pressured to pay more to crate some larger items and because of the extra space that would take only to finally find out that non of that service ever got done and my high value item was completely destroyed. I like some in the other reviews had my goods arrive in July and clear customs in Europe from my old home in the USA. The carrier storing my shipment told me they could not complete the move as Transparent had not paid them. My operations agent at Transparent kept telling me she couldn't do anything and management was working on it. Same thing for months. The company is very unprofessional and management is extremely cowardly, to the point they tell their employees to say they are out sick, or on vacation. 16 months since my shipment left the US and in order to receive it I had to pay the carrier. As I mentioned above, I received my shipment after paying the final delivery portion a second time and it came with some major damage. My recommendation again is to stay clear of this company. Unfortunately I still need to stressfully make international calls to them since they did agree in December to reimburse me for that extra payment that they owe me. Either they are all on spring break since a week, or the company has gone out of business for the benefit of all future movers - they are not answering calls and emails.

I was not informed that I needed an RNM…

I was not informed that I needed an RNM card which requires a retirement visa before they will ship. Had I known, I would have delayed shipping till those were in place. Nonetheless, my possessions are in storage (I assume). I cannot get anyone on the phone. When the call connects, it hangs up. Every email I send it undeliverable.
The company on the receiving end has had the same experience. They informed me that I should find out where my possessions are being stored and try to get them back.
Transparent International has my life in limbo. I believe I have been screwed out of my possesions.

Transparent International moving Scam

I believe this is a scam. I paid Transparent International upfront. They hired a moving company to collect my belongings and informed me it was being shipped to my home which I was told would take 1-4 months. I was contacted by the moving company 5 months later who said they have not been paid and are now charging me to get my belongings back. Transparent International is not responding to me, and my point of contact Anthony Sclafani will not reply to my emails. Do not trust this company.

Transparent International are a fraud

Hi world, I am also having the most horrendous experience and it's really hard to understand how this is also happening to so many. The exact same scenario every single one of us. I understand logistic hurdles and delays but this is ridiculous. Our shipment was picked up late July 2025 in Los Angeles heading to Brisbane Australia. The sales guy was great. Everything went along fine; they picked it up no problem. As we expected you have to wait a little bit because you know it's going to be multiple weeks until you prepare for the shipment to arrive. But they said would keep us updated somewhat along the way. We hadn't heard anything. Chased up the sales contact Elvin; he said very sorry and would look into it. Then the coordinator Sebastian emailed to advise everything is fine your shipment is safe and I will get back to you asap when I have some timing for you. Then Ghosted. So we reached out to the main number and just a receptionist who knew nothing; was zero help; said somebody will be in touch. No response to my follow up emails and phone calls really were a waste of time; 'oh nobody is here right now to assist we will get back to you' and of course they dont. So I email and call again. Finally get told that Sebastian doesnt work there anymore and we have a new coordinator; Mina. I spoke to her she said would need to catch up on our file and let us know. Only to be told a couple of weeks later that there was an overdue invoice unpaid and thats why our shipment was still sitting in LA. By now it's mid January 2026. She said that Sebastian was supposed to have sent the overdue invoice to us but never did; so Mina advised the extra amount of $1500 USD was because the shipment ended up being bigger than originally quoted. So basically weeks and weeks of nobody actually telling us anything until we chased and chased. We paid the invoice straight away and then Mina said you are 'cleared for shipment with delivery between 4 to 12 weeks'. I waited about 5 weeks and then called and emailed to find out oh Mina no longer works there and a new coordinator named Alisa has to look over the file. I spoke to her on the phone last week and she said would get back to me. She didn't so I called just now and she said doesnt really know status of our shipment and I would need to speak with Adam Miller who is customer service. I told her that this is simply not good enough and we are distressed and want and deserve a concrete answer. We have now paid approximately 6000USD and no service has been provided. Somebody in this company needs to step up and do the right thing. There are so many sad and painful reviews it's beyond heartbreaking. We just want our precious personal belongings; 30 boxes thats all. How hard is that. I mean they say have been in transport business for many many years. Need an answer asap!!! Elizabeth

Update @ 12th March 2026. We have now found out that our items have been sitting at the same LA storage facility Air 1 - since July 2025 and they havent been paid by TPI. Basically our items were never going to be placed on a ship. We are getting the absolute run around by TPI and their employees using delay tactics. They are still taking on new clients. Everybody needs to know do not engage them for your move. It won't happen and you will lose your funds and not know where your items are until you chase them up; then they say something like the delay is because of some kind of additional volume or incorrect paperwork and therefore you owe them more money. Basically holiday your items as hostage. The coordinator we had up until a few days ago; Alisa - her phone number is not working and her emails are bouncing back. Same as Elvin Kristian the original sales guy - phone off and emails not working.

RUN AWAY!!!!

Wish they could get negative stars or at the very least NO stars…but that is. It an option.
A friend used this company and it was HORRENDOUS!!! STEER CLEAR!!!!
They ended up hiring an attorney, paid $20K more to get their things from
Shipping container. The $20K went to holding fees of $200/day at port for which it took 2 months to resolve!! As well as having to pay all the suppliers that Transparent owed money to for their container to clear that debt to get their things. To top it all off they had paid their bill in full prior to travel to Transparent. So they basically took their money knowing they would have all these extra fees at the other end. They never responded to any of their calls. The attorney handled it all to get their possessions cleared and in their new home. Attorney said they are not the first ones they have had. NIGHTMARE!!!!

Crooks

Crooks. Took our money, hired third party movers, never paid them, left our things at some storage facility, and all along told us our things were in transit. Not only did they not pay the movers for the work they did, they took full payment up front and even after the delivery date passed told us "not authorized to give you more information" ABOUT OUR OWN THINGS!! DO NOT USE!!!!

Transparent International - Grave mishandling and possible fraud

I wish I'd read the reviews on Transparent International before I used them. My mistake. Avoid them at all cost (literally.) My shipment left Los Angeles in April 2024. According to Transparent Int., it was supposed to arrive in 16 weeks "max" and it took 9 months, with very little communication from Transparent who claimed they could not track the cargo ship once it had left port (which I found out was most probably a lie.) After it finally arrived in Rotterdam, I had to pay extra for inspection at port and trucking from Rotterdam (which is pretty standard.) But then my belongings have been stuck in the port for weeks (since December and it's now March 2026,) because Transparent has not given instructions to release them in spite of their assurances they would do so. Now they are ghosting me, not responding to my numerous emails. I have escalated with BBB and DCWP, but these have no enforcement power. So many people are complaining. I found online a group that is working on starting a class action lawsuit on the company. Please join us! The more we are the more chances we have. Below is the person's message:
"If you are a victim of Transparent International’s unscrupulous business practices and your cargo is either lost, missing, or being held hostage in a warehouse or foreign port - email transparent victims at gmail dot com. We are building a list of plaintiffs and collecting evidence - please be in touch ASAP. I have tried to call them and their phone lines are either out of service or they are not answering."

Brazilian Move Nightmare

I moved from Miami to Brazil last summer. My belongings were picked up in July and arrived 10 months later in May. This was supposed to be 3 months. The items sat in Miami until March for no reason. The fees increased. No one would answer my calls. Because of the time frame and improper packaging my entire art collection was severely damaged. They could care less and told me to pursue the packaging company. They refused to offer insurance. Never sent me an accurate service agreement, and denied every promise that they had made. I lived for months without furniture or any of my belongings. This was a nightmare and I would never recommend this company to anyone. I was yelled at by the manager, blamed for their mistakes, and treated very poorly. These are the most unprofessional business men that I have ever met. RUN AWAY FROM THEM.

Use them and loose your things!!!

Hidden fees, my things are held hostage and the only thing the company needs to do is to give a release form. My things were shipped on 12. of September and arrived in December but are just sitting in Rotterdam. The company that moves it to my home location is ready bit can't do anything until they get the release. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!

Shipment undelivered after payment — no tracking information provided

Transparent International collected my household goods 8 months ago, estimating a delivery window of approximately 6–14 weeks.
More than 33 weeks later, my belongings have not been delivered and their location has not been confirmed. The company has not provided a container number, Bill of Lading, or any documentation confirming where the shipment is despite repeated requests.
I was also presented with a substantially higher additional charge that was not itemized and not part of the original estimate. I was advised that the shipment would not proceed and that storage fees would accrue unless payment was made. My items have still not arrived despite paying under duress.
This matter has also been raised through insurance and regulatory channels.
Consumers should exercise caution and ensure all documentation, pricing terms, and shipment tracking procedures are clearly established before allowing any company to take possession of household goods.

Worst moving company on the planet

Worst moving company on the planet. They don't even deserve a 1 star. They have not paid their suppliers so our stuff is being held hostage while we pay demurrage in customs. The worst part of it is that the upper management are cowards as they will not even communicate with customers. I fear they are going out of business so some people may never see their belongings as the ocean freight companies may never release the goods so customs May dispose of them. It's horrific!

My shipment arrived from the USA to…

My shipment arrived from the USA to Marseilles in December. I was asked and agreed to pay the French receiving firm an additional 600 Euros, which I did. Since I made that payment I have not heard from anyone for months, though my shipment has been unloaded. I called the French company and they said despite numerous requests they have not been paid 2,000 E owed to them. Despite my numerous calls to Transparent they have been invisible with each person claiming “it is above my pay grade”, or that the team is working on it. In the meantime I am caught not knowing what my next move, no pun intended, should be. Very upset and angry for the lack of service and transparency!

I just wanted to update my review (12/3/2025). The company is unresponsive, there are a dozen of victims who are scammed for thousands of dollars, they are not giving any meaningful response to calls or emails for months, and they lost their license with the Federal Maritime Commission back in October.
