*THREATENED TO CHARGE ME £50 FOR EVERY EMAIL I SEND*
Hired a Lewis 2 for a five day trip on the coast.
Handover was good, left the yard feeling like it was a great experience.
However, my experience was that this firm have made every effort to effectively steal the deposit i left on the rental.
I have attached some correspondence, which is just rude and uncalled for.
2/3 times per day i had to crawl under the Motorhome and reconnect both grey and black waste pipes as they was not secured properly. Dirty and shouldn't be happening. Previous reviews mention this.
I spent days upon days with the vehicle chiming at me whilst driving, because the side door seal had blown out and it would not sit properly. This drove us nuts not only with the vehicle chiming every 5 seconds that a door was ajar, but all the road noise coming in. Not a single apology or care from this firm.
The kitchen tap fell off in my hand, again no care from them.
The toilet cassette lock broke with the smallest amount of pressure whilst removing it.
Fair there was a crack in the rear panel which i was charged £500 for and i accept.
They however, a week later, sent me an invoice for EXACTLY £1,200 and retained my deposit.
- £500 Rear panel repair (fair)
- £75 Plastic kitchen sink handle (excuse me?)
- £125 Plastic toilet lock mech
- £500 to replace a power bank because it was scratched
I spoke with their in-house mechanic on drop off and he showed me the fix for the toilet and tap handle there on the spot, so why i have been charged £200 who knows?
£500 for a power bank, which they havn't proved they have disposed of so i'm assuming it's still being used while they enjoy my 500 quid.
I'm trying to claim back the excess on insurance, i simply asked for the documentation the insurance company required, because they would not accept the email of the booking i had, and i was threatened with a £50 per email charge, REALLY?!
They obviously don't want to officially justify these outrageous amounts to an insurance firm, thinking £50 per email would scare me off.
Seriously, reconsider a rental here.
