Terrible company

Customer service may be the worst in the entire world it’s easier to speak with a agent in a whole different language then deal with them they once again pulled the statement “contact local authorities” after I told them I have done so but they don’t care they act like the police are going to be over there refunding my money themselves they come up with any excuse to keep the money it’s insane this company needs a 360 change in support or needs to be shutdown I didn’t think such a small measly refund would be such a big deal to them.

Good experience in 4 months usage

I used it for 3 months in vietnam, used different top ups Methode: WISE, SEPA Transfer and also received money via Crypto. Was working really well. Also used it in Indonesia, but then suddenly their service got terminated due to new law régulations. They gave me back the Fée for withdrawing my money, although it Took them weeks to reply to multiple messages that i left in the chatbot. So the customer Service Feedbacks seems legit, but the app itself in terms of functionality really well. The SEPA Transfer for top up seemed to work the fastest for me.

I have been left on read for at least a…

I have been left on read for at least a month now. I cant top up using my debit card any of them. The system says it will allow a bank transfer but the fact that noone will get back to me from support it too much of a risk for me to try this. Im in Vietnam it worked great a few times but I think its safe to say that now we can pretty much give op on this app.

Terrible customer support

When the money deposits in correctly it works brilliant very handy for paying in Vietnam. However only my Girlfriends deposit was successful, I sent money from my revolut account and on the Moreta app it says the payment is waiting, I got onto the support in app which is just a chat bot and provided all the details of the transfer and proof.
It says typical responds in couple of hours, it has been two weeks, I’ve also emailed the support email address which is in the responses to some reviews but it is just another bot and say it will pass onto a human agent.

It has been hugely frustrating, the customer service is terrible and I’m still waiting on the money to enter my account on Moreta pay even thought the money left my revolut account over two weeks ago.

Really is a pity as when it works it is a good app but unfortunately customer is so bad that you have to avoid.

150€ missing ! No customer service ! Avoid !!

Funds missing, no support response – avoid avoid avoid !!!

I had a very bad experience with Moreta Pay !

On April 9th, I made a bank transfer of 150€ from my Revolut account after correctly creating a deposit request in the app. The money was successfully sent from my bank, with all transfer proofs.

10 days later, the funds have still not been credited to my wallet, and they have not been returned to my bank account either.

I contacted support multiple times and provided all requested documents (proof of transfer, IBAN, transaction details). No meaningful response and no resolution.

This is extremely concerning:

The money has left my account
It is not visible in the app
It has not been refunded

At this point, the funds are simply unaccounted for.

I strongly recommend avoiding this app until they improve their reliability and customer support !

A €150 SEPA transfer with full transfer proof is traceable. 10 days without resolution is too long. Please email support@moretapay.com directly with subject "Trustpilot escalation 150 EUR" and include your account email, the IBAN you sent from, and the transfer reference. We'll trace the payment with our banking partner until it's resolved.

I made two transfers to their bank…

I made two transfers to their bank account and they were not credited.They tell me an agent will contact me within 24 hours, but it's been 3 days and no one has heard from me yet.I'm still waiting before filing a civil suit for embezzlement. I can only advise against this application, stay away from it and I will do everything I can to ensure that the word spreads and it is not used.

*** A few days later, without any communication, I received the transfers to my Moretapay account. Terrible customer service, but at least they refunded the amount. We'll see how things develop. I'm updating my rating from 1 to 3 stars.

The 16 th february I transfered an amount in my Moreta wallet
that have been received and a few minutes later Moreta sent me back my transfer with a some cents missing ( not a question of the cents, it’s a question of honesty)
I contacted the chat that answered me a human beeing would give an answer within 24 hours.. still waiting 😡
I don’t think we can trust Moretapay
Don’t put a lot in your wallet if you are using the app, if not don’t subscribe…

Hi there, the small difference you're seeing is from FX conversion when funds are returned. When a deposit gets refunded back to its original funding source, the amount is converted at the live FX rate at the time of the refund, which can result in a small variance from the original amount. This is standard for any cross-currency transaction and isn't something Moreta retains.

MoretaTerrible experience – misleading availability & no support Pay claims in the app that the…

Moreta Pay claims in the app that the service is available in Indonesia, but every payment attempt fails. When I contacted support, I was told that the service is actually not available in Indonesia — which directly contradicts what the app states.
It gets worse: they are now refusing to pay out my remaining balance. The support chat bot repeatedly says that a human agent will respond within 24 hours, but no one ever replies.
Withdrawals are also impossible:
Card withdrawals are not supported
When selecting “Add new payment method” for withdrawal, the app redirects back to Top Up
No working withdrawal option is provided
At this point, this feels highly misleading and untrustworthy. An app that accepts deposits but makes withdrawals impossible raises serious concerns.
Avoid this app and use a reliable alternative.

top up does nor appear

I did a top up by Wise. One day later i received an email, saying "A deposit is now available in your spending account.". In the App the deposit does not appear. The chat says it takes another 24 hours until someone will have a look at he process, So moretapay is completly useless if you want to pay quick, I hope the sum will appear someday. Do not use it with higher amounts of money.

Quick clarification: top-ups from Wise come through as ACH wires, which are processed by the banking network rather than by us directly. ACH transfers can take up to 4 business days to settle (excluding holidays), and that timing is set by the banks, not something we can speed up on our end.

The email confirms the deposit was initiated, but it'll only appear in your spending account once the wire fully clears. For faster top-ups, we support debit and credit cards for instant top-ups, as well as crypto, both settle in minutes.

I’ve been having a problem withdrawing…

I’ve been having a problem withdrawing my money for the past 3 days and no one has contacted me yet. The website/app clearly said I would be contacted within 24 hours, but that hasn’t happened.

Because of this, my experience has been extremely negative. I feel unsupported and very disappointed with the service.

I would not recommend this company based on my experience.

The best way to pay in SEA

Works as advertised - had a great experience in Vietnam and Cambodia. Thailand they currently (December 2025) only support business QR codes (which they make very clear when you sign up), but I've been told by support that personal QR code support is coming early 2026.

There are multiple ways to fund your wallet some are instant (like credit card) or near instant (like SEPA transfer). Just make sure you read the instructions so they can match your transfer correctly.

Pretty useless

When I first installed the app, it worked quite well, but recently there have been all kinds of problems trying to transfer money into the account so that I can pay by QR code. I have tried other methods of transferring money. They always fail. Time to give up.

Hi there, sorry to hear about the trouble. Failed top-ups usually come down to one of a few things on the funding source side (card issuer blocking the transaction, bank flagging it as international, or a temporary processing issue), and we can almost always help track down what's going on.

We also support debit and credit cards for instant top-ups, as well as crypto, which often work when bank transfers are getting blocked.

They will let you put money in to your account then change terms when they feel like it so Your money will no longer be yours. They hold your money for ransom. Yup your not getting it back. As someone who has been travelling in south east Asia very frequently over the past years due to the business,
I found this company(Moretapay) in Google search which I thought it would suit so perfectly for my payment needs in certain countries in south east Asia as one application for all payments through QR codes.
Then I applied for the account,the account application and verification process has become painstakingly troubled..the methods and manners are too slow and inefficient manner.
They don't work customer friendly nor customer oriented manner .
Their services are not complete yet in each country..
Many functions in the application does not run smoothly in the sense that Some of their services are facing restrictions in each country that they claim that they have full services..
but in reality, they don't..
I got verification successfully first and they started to serve to me ,then when I tried to add all my other legitimate legal accounts register under my name to fund,they started act and serve in peculiarity..Then ALL OF A SUDDEN AFTER 4 Weeks of services to me,their customer service agent sent me a strange message without giving details thay saying "our team decided not to offer services to you"This company is a new company(Their app is still in Beta test phase) not well organized..as far as I understand they don't still have full legitimate base to operate in all those countries where they claim they operate fully. .

I would suggest you pay extra attention when you sign up for the account!!Their services are really troubled inadequate improper and inefficient.Their services are not sound not so well managed yet I would strongly suggest stay away from this ..otherwise your money can be at risk!!!.They might even do transactions with your money in the account without having authorisation from you, They might abruptly terminate the account and refund the money without revealing details when the relevant team gets so arrogant and implement peculiar methods and style.. This is what they have done with my account..Their customer services are very poor and not enough..It s just headache..so don't opt for it..Please don’t give credits to such improperly structured and serving companies..all their services are troubled..troubled..inaduate..improper..inefficent inaccurate alienating segregating and arrogant and humiliating!!..
