This is by far one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. You put an AI system in place that does nothing but waste people’s time and make them angry. Every single time I have to deal with this company, I lose at least 10 minutes going back and forth with a useless bot instead of being connected to a real human who can actually help. It’s frustrating, disrespectful to customers, and shows a complete lack of care for people’s time. If you can’t provide proper support, then get rid of the AI instead of making the experience even worse.

Montway Auto Transport was meant to transport my vehicle from California to Georgia. After the transport company’s agent took my car, I requested to cancel the order. They informed me that they would cancel it, but I needed to retrieve the car from their agent in California. I collected my vehicle and paid $100 in cash. When I asked them to refund me the $1500 transportation fee, they gave me back $1250 and withheld $250 as a cancellation fee. I requested either the return of the $100 or the $250 cancellation fee, but they have stopped responding to my emails.

The drivers are rude and don't speak English. The driver wanted to meet him 20 minutes away from our address at a Walmart parking lot instead of coming to our address. The dispatchers are rude and don't give a crap.
Find another transport company.

I wish I could give zero stars. Absolutely terrible! I wouldn't even recommend your company to my worst enemy. Communication is atrocious, reliability clearly doesn't mean anything to this company, and when I was clearly in a bind needing my vehicle to be picked up (it was already a week past the pick up date) I was told it would be additional money. I paid it and my vehicle still wasnt picked up until 5 days later. Every single one of your poor ratings on yelp is valid. Montway is a terrible scam of a unreliable company.

I got a decent experience. The quoted price got changed a bit by the time the driver was assigned. This is the only issue besides some minor inconsistent updates from the carrier side. Overall the shipment itself was good.

I paid Montway $2,029 in full, in advance, to transport a vehicle from Austin to Aspen with a delivery window of July 3–4 (their own dispatch email). On July 3, their tracking marked the car "Load delivered at ASPEN, CO." It was not delivered — GPS showed it sitting in a Denver parking lot, where it has sat for days.
I notified Montway four separate times. By phone July 4: their rep insisted it had been delivered, citing their own false record. By chat July 5: one agent told me in writing the record was "updated" — it wasn't; another admitted the driver "marked the wrong order as delivered" and promised a fix "shortly" — the false status was still live 60+ hours after first notice. By formal email July 5 with screenshots and a 24-hour demand to correct it: no substantive response. On July 6, their rep confirmed delivery by noon that day after checking with the carrier; hours later a different trucking company — not the carrier named on Montway's own tracking page — called to push it to July 7. Nobody ever disclosed a carrier change.
Montway never once contacted me proactively. I located my own car via GPS and called the lot myself. The delay has added over $500 in rental costs I would not otherwise have incurred.
When I asked a senior manager for a partial refund, the answer was that dates are "estimates" and everything was "human error." Delays are estimates; a false delivery record maintained for days over written notice, false written assurances it was fixed, broken commitments, and an undisclosed carrier swap are not. FMCSA Case #00287506 filed. I had a return shipment planned with Montway — cancelled.

All Future Customers Please Beware!
Montway Auto Transport has the "Worst" customer service I have ever experience from an auto transportation company.
They picked up my car from my resident on July 1, 2026, via a third-party wrecker service, which delivered my car to their wrecker yard, where it has just been sitting there to this day (July 6, 2026).
They promise me that my car was going to be delivered from Texas to Atlanta either on Friday, July 3rd or Sunday July 5th. Each time when I called to inquire, I only received excuses after excuses.
I strongly recommend that everyone stay away from this company. In closing, I will post an update when or if my car is delivered.
Joel B.

They should get a zero rating, don't give a damn about customers as long as they get their broker fee. If you want to get screwed go ahead and hire these gangsters!

No communication at all i have to constantly reach out pickup time frame has passed oickup time frame was 1-5 business days they cannot honnor this because they are just a broker i wouldve been better off paying my boss 1400 to drive out with his eclosed trailer and had it here in 3 days

I placed an order for 2 vehicles but the window for pick up was way too big and I was told I wouldn't have a carrier assigned until 1-2 days prior. I tried to cancel the orders after I confirmed there was no carrier assigned. I was told I could cancel and a supervisor would contact me within 24 hours. No call the next day. The day after I had 2 customer service reps tell me it would be 24 hours. No call so I left a voicemail. No call the NEXT DAY so I sent an email. I talked to yet another customer service representative (I had talked to 5 at this point). Mila was very sweet but I asked to talk to a supervisor. SHE couldn't get a hold of a supervisor so she was told to tell me to wait for someone to call me back. This is ridiculous. They don't answer the phones, supervisors can't do their job and I'm 4 days into a cancellation period being told it should have been done 3 days ago. Go straight with a carrier and don't mess around with the brokers. I was told I'd get a call in 15-20 minutes. That didn't happen so I called back. The senior supervisor was rude and kept cutting me off telling me I had to wait 24 hours between requesting cancelation and confirmation. I told her it's day 4. She cut me off again to tell me they have 24 hours. I explained it's been over 72 hours and she said she'd send an email. I tried to clarify if it was a cancelation request email or a confirmation of cancelation. She told me she'd send an email and they have 24 hours to cancel it. I explained AGAIN they request was put in the 30th. She said I would get an email for the cancelation and that was it. Horrible customer service.

If you like last minute up-charges then this place is definitely for you! You will get urgent calls on the first day of your pickup window, you won't get a phone call a few days or a week in advance or in any timely manner, nope. Don't expect that. And you will get a last minute change of price on the day of pickup. Do yourself a favor and bypass these people, this is not a car shipping company, call an actual trucker, don't waste your time, your money, or your energy with these people. Such a scam.

This company cannot tell me when my vehicle will be delivered, nobody has contacted me to see if I will be home when said delivery is supposed to take place, and get this… they said they cannot reach their driver! Imagine that! In this day and age, they have no idea where the vehicle is, no GPS, no idea on delivery time and no communication with their driver! What happens if he just shows up and I’m not at home? Steer clear from this shipping company!

I paid $1,800 to ship my car from Cali to Texas. The day before pickup they demanded an extra $400 because the carrier said the car is bigger. The car did not grow bigger between the time of the original contract and pickup. They used extortion to forcing the extra payment.

The company had to cancel our first carrier because of thier miscommunication with that company. Then took a week before they lined up another. Even then there was no telling when the car would be delivered. I had to cancel. They would only refund a small portion of the deposit despite the extended delay. Bad service

We paid Montway for a guaranteed pickup date. All they did was pickup our vehicles to put them in long term storage. When we contacted them to see what was going on, they just brushed us off. We asked to speak to higher management and they said that wasn't possible. This company has gone down hill really fast. We used them in the past and they were great, now they just want to grab your your money and provide terrible customer service.

Horrible experience! They charged my credit card the full amount even though I never agreed for the transportation. I asked to have a manager call me so I can discuss an enclosed carrier and they never called me. Instead they charged me the full amount. When I asked a refund they stated they would deduct a 250 dollar fee for the cancellation even though I never agreed to it. These people are scam artists and I would stay away from them for sure. Total ripoff.

Horrible experience. They scheduled a date to pick up the car. They postponed that date twice. They never called us we had to call them. Zero communication. We had to cancel because they postponed. Still trying to get my money back for a service they never did!

Horrible experience with Montway Auto Transport. I do not recommend them.
Their communication was terrible from the start. The online chat reps were rude, had an attitude, and came across as completely unprofessional.
They gave me a 5-day pickup window, and I scheduled it so the last day of that window lined up with the day before my relocation. Instead of handling the shipment properly, they waited until the day before the window ended to call me and say they did not have a carrier available. Then they told me the pickup would have to happen days later, which did not work because I was relocating.
On top of that, they also tried to get more money from me even though we had already agreed on a price. Waiting until the very end of the pickup window to tell a customer this is unacceptable. It put me in emergency mode and forced me to find another transport option at the last minute.
When I called and spoke with a manager, she was just as rude and unhelpful. She did not take responsibility, did not offer a real solution, and did not want to refund my money. I ended up having to file a dispute with my credit card company to get my money back.
In my experience, Montway was unreliable, unprofessional, and failed to deliver what they promised. I would not use them again and would strongly warn others to avoid them.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Montway Auto Transport and would strongly advise others to think twice before using this company.
The problems started almost immediately. I was initially told that the first payment would be collected on the day of pickup. However, the very next day, I received a call informing me that most of the payment had to be made upfront instead. Although this was not what I had originally agreed to, I paid the amount requested to avoid any delays.
To make sure everything was on track, I called several times before the scheduled pickup date to confirm that my vehicle would be picked up as promised. Each time, I was reassured that everything was set. On the agreed pickup day, I waited the entire day for the driver to arrive. No one showed up. No phone call, no email, and no text message.
When I contacted Montway to find out what happened, I was casually told that the pickup had been canceled. Not only did they fail to honor the scheduled pickup, but they also made no effort to notify me in advance or coordinate a new pickup date. This was especially frustrating because I had already arranged my travel plans based on the confirmed pickup date they provided.
To make matters worse, I have encountered ongoing issues trying to obtain my refund. Communication has been inconsistent, and every representative seems to provide different information. One agent says one thing, another says something completely different. There appears to be no consistency, accountability, or clear communication within the company.
The customer service experience was equally disappointing. Several representatives were dismissive and unhelpful, and resolving even simple questions became unnecessarily difficult.
Overall, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. Montway failed to honor their commitments, failed to communicate professionally, disrupted my travel plans, and has made the refund process far more difficult than it should be. I cannot recommend this company and will never use their services again.

Price is double what you could get on the market, as they charge y out just to be a broker. I was given a company and time to pick up my car just for that company to not show up. No one notified me and I had to call in. The customer service rep (and I use that term lightly) accused me of lying and not picking up my phone for the carrier, which wasn't true. Then he calls the company and realizes they are the one who canceled because they didn't want to get my car on the dates I requested (so why would you accept the job?) I asked the man when the next carrier would be dispatched and he snapped saying "we got you the first carrier fast, right?!" After my car finally was shipped, I got a bunch of bills from EZ Pass while my car was in transport (my EZ Pass wasn't visible in the vehicle). I reached out 3 times about it and have been ignored. Wouldn't recommend this expensive, rude company - beware!
