I am very disappointed in Montblanc. They make nice pens. I bought a Leonard Bernstein ballpoint pen. The pen is beautiful. But when the cartridge ran out, none of the ones they sold, fit. So I cal... See more

Ignores customers questions or feedback
A premium brand with a premium price tag but with appalling customer service which puts me off buying any technical products & plenty of reviews say they've had zero technical assistance. Despite using their websites link to contact them on numerous occasions I've never had a reply, nor have I ever received their newsletter when I've clicked on the link to request one. Untrained staff who just read off the product description when you ask a question - sorry but I'm quite capable of doing that myself & have already read it that's why I'm now calling you to ask the question! They seem to be bringing out 5 minute wonder stuff while discontinuing much of their classic meisterstuck bags & accessories etc. A premium brand should take customer service & feedback much more seriously. Whoever is in charge is taking the company down the completely wrong path. They need to oust the current decision makers before it's too late.
I bought an expensive leather back…
I bought an expensive leather back pack, the quality is poor and the actual colour from the bag ran into my clothes and wrecked two pair of ralph lauren shorts.
I am currently trying to send the bag to them in order to see why the colour is rubbing off and never experience such poor customer service. I would of never expected this from Mont Blanc and amazed they treat customers so poorly when the product is defective. I am trying hard to speak to a manager but its proving a nightmare.
Bought their Explorer eau de toilet
Bought their Explorer eau de toilet. Only last a few minutes, then fade away.
Absolute rubbish. Will not be buying any of their products again.
STILL WAITING FOR A REFUND FOR MISSING…
STILL WAITING FOR A REFUND FOR MISSING GOODS TEN WEEKS LATER NO REFUND.
ACCORDING TO MONT BLANC STAFF THIS CAN TAKE 5-7 DAYS WHICH IS A LAUGH.
U.K. CUSTOMER SERVICES TELL YOU ONE STORY THEN ANOTHER STAFF MEMBER TELLS YOU SOMETHING ELSE.
ATROCIOUS COMPANY
USED TO BE A PLEASURE PURCHASING THEIR ITEMS.
If you use an iPhone DO NOT BOTHER…
If you use an iPhone DO NOT BOTHER BUYING THIS WATCH. It is useless and won't work with an iPhone. I can't speak for the functionality with an android OS phone but definitely I can for iPhone. I've had it for one year. Very few functions will work with the watch if it is paired with an iPhone. There's no help anywhere to assist you, neither the Montblanc page, nor YouTube, or any webpage. There's no in depth user manual anywhere, just the very bare basics. If you exercise, for example ride a bike, it will not record your speed or distance. I couldn't find a fix for it anywhere, not even at the Montblanc store, or anywhere online.
Battery life is laughable, hardly makes it through the day even with battery saving features in place.
Any extra wrist band you may want to buy will cost you about 20% of the watch value! Available extra watchfaces are scarce and most of them at a cost.DO NOT BUY
If I could give no stars I would
If I could give no stars I would. Staff at the New Bond St store were dismissive and unhelpful. Despite being under warranty they wanted to charge £135 for a lid which was damaged. The company’s Customer Services are, incredibly, even worse and just parrot that you have to discuss with the boutique. How does this brand survive while offering such a bad customer experience? Don’t buy Mont Blanc unless you want to be horribly disappointed by their customer service - I wish I’d seen the reviews here before buying!
Don’t buy a Montblanc wallet
I received a wallet for X-Mas. I put it in my inside coat pocket. After one week, it was soaked.
How? It is supposed to be a luxury product.
Still it doesn’t look leather more cardboard.
They refused to replace it and repairs (that took 3months!) didn’t erase tracks of water.
- Bad quality
- Bad service
Don’t buy it!
Poor customer service
This was my first time purchasing with Montblanc and quite frankly I'd suggest you don't bother. Customer service is non-existent and you will not be assisted.
I have given 1 star because only because I had to, -3 stars would be more accurate.
I purchased an engraved pen for a friend who had recently received a knighthood.
Exactly 2 minutes after I made the purchase, I realised I had selected a gift wrap option. I called and explained and they said it was too late to amend the order on their system but they would call and do their best to get it gift wrapped. I wouldn't know if that happened or not because the person never received their gift.
I have purchased from premium brands on several occasion, and if I call a day after an order, let alone 2 minutes, they are able to make amendments. This instantly gave me factory vibes.
Montblanc used UPS as a courier and they never delivered the item to the address, which by the way has 24hour security that can receive deliveries. I called Montblanc and they said UPS could not deliver the item, so delivered the item to a depot and I would need to collect it from there.
I explained that this was a surprise gift and it just wouldn't be possible to ask the recipient to go to a depot in the bum end of London to collect their surprise gift. They said they would call UPS and have it re-delivered. This never happened. 1 week later I send an email to customer service and they say I would need to collect the item from a different address or call UPS myself to arrange a redelivery.
I am sorry but in no way is this customer service.
One would expect when you pay over £200 for a biro that it would be delivered, and if the courier service the vender chose does not deliver the item, they would handle it.
Unfortunately despite them saying over the phone they would make sure it is redelivered, on email they have said it is my responsibility. When I refused and asked for a refund, they continued to ask me to go to the depot to pick up the item or call the courier myself as it is my responsibility not theirs once it has left their warehouse.
Please do not be fooled, this brand may be marketed as premium, but the service is better at Asda.
Still waiting for my refund, or for them to actually make sure the item is redelivered with a competent company.
I've just retired and had no need for…
I've just retired and had no need for my Mont Blan cufflinks. Tried to sell them on eBay and was immediately emailed by eBay saying that I was trying to sell a counterfeit item. After a lot of investigation it seems that Mont Blanc have a restrictive agreement in place with eBay (shame on eBay) which allows only authorised resellers to sell their products second hand. So... the message is: Don't buy Mont Blanc products because the moment you walk out of the shop they will lose a huge amount of their purchase value. I would guess about 80% and cause the owner a huge amount of frustration if they ever tried to sell them.
Very poor customer service
Very poor customer service, not what I’d expect from a premium brand. Pen lid broke after about 11 months repaired under warranty (2 month wait). Exactly the same fault has happened and now refusing to repair as out of warranty and want £100 to repair. I will not be buying more pens from mont blanc!
Avoid Yoox trading as Montblanc
Montblanc.com is Yoox Pret A Porter trading as Montblanc. I ordered pen refills in December 2022. Only half were sent. Yoox blamed the courier for stealing even though the parcel was sealed. Clearly, Yoox did not pack them all. They refuse to resend or reimburse me now five months later. If you need Montblanc supplies, buy from a reputable seller. Not these crooks.
Awful experience with returning for…
Awful experience with returning for refund. Zero customer service, rude customer service and not even based in the uk. Cannot return items in the stores and took them 3 months to give me my money back after chasing them and calling them
For weeks and weeks! Awful avoid at all cost
Two wathc bands broken in 13 months
The first watch band that came with my Montblanc Summit Lite smartwatch broke within 9 months - I never got it wet etc (was a leather band). When I went to their shop in Sydney near the Pitt St Mall they initially refused to replace it. I then stated veyr clearly what Australian consumer law states in terms of my rights to a replacement. In the end they relented and replaced the watch band with a new black leather band. Now 6 months in and the same thing happens to this new band in the same area which is the leather slips you put the band through when it is buckled up on your wrist. The fact is they want $200 AUD for their bands yet clearly the quality is appalling! I'm definitely not paying that for a band where two have broken in 13 months. Clearly the quality is substandard and Montblanc need to pick up the quality as it is destroying the value in their brand...
Who calls sales team ambassadors?
Rude customer service. Who calls their sales team ambassadors? How pretentious!
Great pens
Great pens
I've read these reviews and am really surprised by the negativity. I agree that one should be able to return faulty pens to any Mont Blanc shop. However I have three Miesterstucks and a Pix I acquired today. The Miesterstucks are brilliant - no ink on my hands, bits falling off etc. The Pix is a cheaper build and does feel a bit flimsier than the fountain pens I own, but is about 30% of the price. I wonder if some of these reviews are not genuine?
MontBlanc Archaic Return Policy
Purchased a belt for my husband for Christmas. He didn’t try it on to wear it until Feb and now Montblanc won’t exchange it. In fact they don’t do exchanges only returns and the physical stores are not affiliated with the website. What the heck! They offer an extended 30 days during Christmas but what happens when your purchases is more than 30 days prior to Christmas?, well it’s no return. So now I’m stuck with a $400 belt that doesn’t fit. Had I known this I would have purchased it from Nordstrom who knows what proper customer service is. After 15 years of purchasing your collectors pens, I’m grossly disappointed. MontBlanc you suck. Buyers beware!
£350 pen
£350 pen - breaks within a year, 2 Year warranty and I have to send it off for between 8-10 weeks to get repaired - Just disgraceful service and the product is a not worth the money - bad quality. the first and last Mont Blanc product I will ever buy - Customer Service needs a complete overhaul. NEVER AGAIN!!!! Id like to think this would make a difference but considering they are terrible on Trust Pilot I doubt it!!!!
Bought one pen from Montblanc.com
Bought one pen from Montblanc.com. Return product is a pain. Difficult process and UPS hold it for a week and no delivery.
Bought a Montblanc Passport Holder at…
Bought a Montblanc Passport Holder at Duty Free. The Warranty Card is missing.
Corporate email reply is simply to say they can't do anything. Understand they cant be fixing issues all over the world. No interest in finding out which store, why etc.
Also, the fact that there is no presence here responding and or trying to improve their 1.7* rating speaks volumes.
If you see their discounted products any where, check and recheck again.
I wanted to know about the products and…
I wanted to know about the products and what made them so different from other pens. Referred to the fact that it must be an amazing quality with those prices. Apparently that was insulting to whoever I spoke to because she didn't want to tell me about the products -I was just told that I didn't have to buy them and was basically brushed of with a very sarcastic "have a nice day".
I will buy my pens elsewhere for my team.
I am not surprised about all the 1 star reviews.
If I could give 0 stars - I would.
