We have been using Monster Phonics since Sept 2019 and are so far really impressed with it's impact. It has made lessons more engaging and interactive and early signs are that the children are making good progress as a result. It seems to complement letters and sounds really well and I know the teachers really value the support it offers and planning and teaching.

The Monster phonics programme has helped with consistency in our school . Teachers are able to spend more time with the children delivering each sound rather than spending long periods of time planning. The display element has also helped as this has allowed me create a corridor display- each monster is displayed. Each day children are given time to place the flashcards around the monsters. A great resource that I would recommend to other schools.

We have been using Monster Phonics since September 2019 and impact has been amazing! Our Staff love the pedagogy behind the Monster Phonics programme and the enthusiasm in our children has been wonferful to witness.

We have taken the programme on board fully and have invested in the new reading scheme attached to it. The books are lovely and unlike other phonetically decodable scheme these books (especially the Reception books) are lovely to engage parents into their child's learning. The layout has clearly been well thought out and supports our SEND children who have Visual impairments. The text size and font used in the Reception books has meant that specialist books with enlarged print have not been needed.

The biggest impact has been on our boys and the bottom 20% of all the cohorts within eyfs and ks1.

We also use the programme as an intervention in KS2 for those children who did not pass the phonics screening re-sit in year 2 and for children who lack confidence in reading.

Monster Phonics has been amazing since we launched it across EYFS & KS1 in our school. Most importantly the children love the programme and are making strong progress. Staff feel more confident to have a clear teaching programme with a wide range of resources to support.
Just when we thought it couldn't get any better, our Monster Phonics books arrived! These are truly fantastic and are such an excellent addition to the whole programme.
Ingrid has also been incredible, no question has been too much hassle and she has really supported in the launch with a very informative and useful training session for staff.
I can't wait to see what else is to come from this wonderful company!

This is by far the best spelling scheme I’ve used. I love the monsters, colour coding and new reading books.

Monster phonics is so engaging and such a genius idea. My children are obsessed with it that they don’t even realise they are learning to read in the process. Worked with KS1 on a few schemes over last couple of years and this is by far the best.

We are halfway through our first year using Monster phonics. The children love the characters and it has made teaching phonics much more fun! The teachers appreciate the planning support and all the resources which are included. We can already see a difference in their learning across all the classes. I can't wait to see the results in a few years when we have been using the programme throughout KS1.

My Reception class absolutely love Monster Phonics. They have really engaged with the characters. We were delighted with the reading books. The parents have been full praise and commenting about how much they enjoy reading them with their children. More children have been reading at home since their arrival!

This has been the first year teaching Monster phonics in year 1 and I am absolutely delighted with the progress the boys are making in their phonic knowledge. The excitement each morning coming into class to see what character they are learning about is incredible. Tricky witch is our favourite, she is always up to her usual tricks and what fun we have creating stories with her!
Thoroughly recommend this phonics programme! The PowerPoints and lesson plans are so fun and easy to use.

Monster Phonics has created a real buzz around our school; lessons are fun, engaging and multi-sensory. The resources are great to have at your fingertips and planning is really easy to follow and adapt to support learning in your school, for both whole class teaching and intervention groups. The clever use of characters is really bringing phonics to life; even our youngest children delight in telling you about the characters.

The children absolutely love Monster Phonics and enjoy learning about the different characters involved. Lessons are really engaging and stimulate the children's curiosity. The programme is designed to encourage over-learning, allowing the children to constantly apply knowledge and skills.
Monster Phonics has been written with a good understanding of how children can decipher the English language.

We bought into this as it was highly recommended by another local school. The children love the different monsters and their characters, colours and songs which help them remember the different sound families. Can't wait to get the reading books too.
We had training from Ingrid, who is passionate about the product and scheme and inspired us all...cant wait to really embed it into our school and teaching.

In our school we use monster phonics and the colours and fun characters make teaching phonics fun and engaging. We began this last year and the year 1 phonics screening results we dramatically improved. Our parents enjoy taking to the children about the characters and the online resources make planning and teaching much easier.

A very promising program that looks highly engaging for pupils. The presentation and introduction of the program was high quality.

Easy to follow detailed planning with ready made resources. Lots of things to pick and choose from and the colours really help the children, especially the silent ghost and tricky witch ones! There comes a point in the year where I print in black and white so that children get used to seeing the words without the monster phonics colours.

The training and the scheme seem exciting, I loved the colours think that this really helps.

Very interactive and engaging for pupils. The links between the colours and sound families are really supporting children to read and write the sounds. However, sometimes the links between each week are unclear and there is quite a lot of jumping around between phases. A lot of content in each session so some adaptation is needed.

The programme is creative, interactive and eye-catching and these qualities capture the imagination and interest of children. The class looks forward to meeting the monsters and their friends and as they are introduced to new words children make the necessary connections between monsters and characters, their colours and the sounds. The children love the Monster Phonic programme. Thank you.

We are an International School in Italy using the Monster Phonics programme with students from a range of countries. We have some native English speakers, but mainly EAL students who are thriving due to the colour coded nature of the programme. My students in Reception have blossomed so much in the first term by learning about the different colour coded monsters and their associated sounds. Boys especially respond well to the programme, by remembering the individual monsters and their sounds. My students are reading after one term and have produced noticable results in their writing too!
The app is also fantastic and my students love to play the spelling games in their free time.
