I ordered a Monocular on 6 Feb 2021 and…

I ordered a Monocular on 6 Feb 2021 and paid for it, thinking it would be delivered in time for a birthday on 8 March 2021. Monocular Telescope invoice refers to a company called Thinknix Enterprises Ltd.

Sadly, the company have today confirmed on their chatline that not only do they not have it in stock, they are still waiting on supplier deliveries...which could be coming from China for all I know. They have not confirmed an expected date of product receipt by them, so cannot confirm an expected date of despatch to me.

The Directors of this company have knowingly taken funds for products they know they cannot deliver. In some cases this would be acceptable if they had asked for a percentage deposit and explained that delivery would be dependent on supplier deliveries. Covid 19 is no reason for excuse. I ordered on 6 Feb 2021 when Covid had been around for a year or more.

Some would say that asking for full payment in the knowledge that the company cannot deliver the product is misleading; some would say it is fraudulent. If they are receiving funds for extended periods with no ability of delivering the product, I believe the public should be protected and the company should be registered as a Bank or as a Licensed Deposit Taker regulated by the FCA to trade in the UK.

I will post again when I receive comments or action from the company.
