Abhorrent business to deal with - AVOID!

I raised a fitment issue, and got brushed off. When I pressed, they ghosted me for 9 days until they got a dispute case via Afterpay. Even then, they chose to ignore Australian consumer law; notably the ácceptable quality guarantee'which is an onus on the seller, not the manufacturer. It would have cost them nothing to make a warranty claim upon the manufacturer on my behalf; but they instead chose to trash their reputation. They're about to find out why doing this to a guy as connected in the car community as me, will cost them dearly. I pity them for failing to see how their response to an issue could have been an opportunity to fortify their brand. Rather than to make an enemy out of me, they could have instead made me an ally, singing their praises amongst my car enthusiast friends. More the pity, that I now tell my contacts to avoid Mode Auto like a disease.

This is one of the most popular Carbon Fibre items currently sold by BMW M Performance, it is even advertised as a suggested upgrade within the My BMW app.

We understand you had contacted MODE regarding your concern with the fitment of the product in which we suggested for the Genuine BMW item to be fitted by a Genuine BMW Technician.

As this is a Genuine BMW item the quality and fitment is determined by BMW and any warranty or replacement claim was rejected by BMW.

MODE cannot replacer an item with an identical item if the quality is the same.

Sent a stop/start button with the text misaligned. Ignored requests to exchange or refund.

Edit- after submitting this review, Mode have reached out and responded, and refunded me. Upgraded from 1 to 2 stars on this basis, but it’s a shame it took this review for them to respond.

The quality of the item is god awful

The quality of the item is god awful. They did not include any of the things in the kit for installation that they were supposed to, and are now telling me the suede I ordered is low quality because I did not get alcantara. Absolutely horrible do not buy from here

Our team has looked up the order and can see you have in fact ordered a Suede+ steering wheel cover which is a faux Alcantara (ie. It is not genuine Italian Alcantara). The price of this item also reflect that is not in fact a genuine Italian Alcantara.

As for any missing items, our team had requested images of what was received and what you believe was missing without any images in response.

We have also been advised the product has been installed which does not allow a return to be possible.

Perhaps next time it may be best to order the more premium Genuine Italian Alcantara version which we do also offer.

Excellent Service

I emailed a question to confirm I’m ordering correct springs for my application, Mason got back to me with part number quickly , I placed order , confirmation and tracking details sent to me , 2 days later arrived in Brisbane , just fitted them today, and are exactly what I wanted.

Ordered lowering springs locally, still haven’t arrived. Appalling customer service

Ordered lowering springs for my 2004 TS Astra over a week ago and they still haven’t been sent (note, they said shipping should take 3-5 days). I’m located in Brisbane Australia so shipping should have been no worries, since the company is based here. I’ve emailed them four times now to seek a response for when my order will be sent. Of course, no response yet. Not even from a bot or anything. Hopefully they arrive soon so I can install on my next couple of days off. Not impressed. Will definitely take my business elsewhere next time. Thought I would go with them because prices were reasonable and were reasonably local. May just stick with eBay so I don’t get screwed around with businesses that can’t even answer their emails.
After reading other reviews online this doesn’t seem like an uncommon occurrence. Should have read these reviews before ordering :( If you’re thinking of buying something from MODE, maybe think twice.

I have recently purchased bmw m2 comp and I'm building it into a race car, Tye and the team at mode concepts have gone above and beyond to help me get the right parts for my build. couldn't recommend them higher.

Customer service is something else!

Product is great! Brought a lowering module for my Audi. Came with zero instructions for install or app use but the internet helped us out there.
Website Said it would be 10-14 days - it took 8 weeks! In that time I received one email and one Instagram message despite checking in multiple times for updates. No explanation about why it was late or what was happening. We then opened a dispute with the bank to recover the nearly $3k and after letting them know this, I was met with the rudest email accusing me of taking the money and the product! Worst customer service I have ever experienced. You really need to up your communication skills! Shame really because the product is great and I couldn’t find it elsewhere in NZ.

I ordered and paid for a BMW G87 M2…

I ordered and paid for a BMW G87 M2 Mode Design Performance Equal Length single mid pipe on April 13, 2024. It was represented shipping would occur same day with delivery 3 to 8 days.
Today is 8 May 2024. I have received no shipping communication and no emails yet payment and order have been confirmed.ed.
I have sent numerous emails seeking details without any response. I have also bought many items in the past from Mode. $2849.88 of my money is in their possession including shipping costs. Nothing said and nothing delivered.
Beware of this lot they have no business ethic or service.
