Excellent experience, will be buying again. Watch exceeded my expectations. Thanks Team Moddy’s!
Had to wait a little while to get the watch but the quality and aesthetic of the watch I received is well higher than the price tag suggests. I'm definitely going to be ordering more! Love it.
Still have not received my watch after waiting a month for it.

The watch is exactly as it should be good quality and looks as I expected - the delivery process REALLY let's things down.
Lots of early noise when the watch is being "made" - picked off a shelf - then you get to "fulfilled" and the whole process slows down for weeks with no comms at all.
Just get better at delivery and comms around delivery and it will SOOOOO much better
Hi, I ordered a watch and it was delivered to me on Monday. I am so disappointed, everything is loose on it and it doesn't work at all. The movement doesnt works and you can't adjust the time as the case on the watch seems to be completely empty. I took it to a watchmaker today and he laughed at me. So disappointed in your watch.

I was unsure at first but I trusted them and my goodness they delivered a beautiful time piece my seiko rootbeer runs smooth. Beautiful piece worth the money and will definitely purchase again+
bought a watch from here specifically the seiko custom date just, first of all shipping took longer than they mentioned it would take, secondly quality is okay but overpriced for what you are getting like its not a legit seiko its a custom mod but still £250 for this is way too much. If your looking for a watch rather spend the money else where either cheaper or better quality

An amazing watch with good weight to it and being able to adjust with the tools provided is great.
I've had loads of compliments, so I am looking forward to my next purchase.
Good communication throughout; my watch was delivered to me well before the expected date. The built quality is second to none. Keep up the good work, guys. I am very impressed as a first-time buyer. Thank you very much, I will be back
I like it , very high quality
I would recommend
And will do it again
Overall really pleased with the watch it looks great!
I have a few high end watches but do find myself wearing this one regularly.
The watch arrived with a broken strap. I tried to return it and was told that they could not take the return. Even tough it is a cheep watch and not realy worth it. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

Watch was definitely not worth the money I spent. Case size wasnt correct and the bracelet felt very cheap. I would definitely not recommend buying from this company.

Many of you will be looking here for a review because Moddys’ advertising looks too good to be true.
To be fair, customer service was initially responsive and polite. Shipping also arrived, although it took longer than advertised.
However, the product itself was a major disappointment. The watch was explicitly sold as having a Seiko automatic movement, which was a key reason for the purchase. On receipt and inspection (including viewing the movement through the display caseback), it is very clearly not a Seiko movement.
What’s fitted is an entry-level Chinese automatic movement (DG2813 / “Asian 21-jewel”) — the same cheap movement found in replica and homage watches widely available on AliExpress and similar sites for a fraction of the price.
Had the watch been described honestly, I would never have purchased it at this price. Selling a watch as “Seiko movement” when it clearly isn’t is misleading at best and deceptive at worst.
Sadly, this leaves me with the conclusion that this company is not transparent about what it is actually selling. The watches appear to be cheap replicas dressed up with marketing, and buyers are paying a premium for specifications that simply aren’t there.
I would strongly advise anyone considering a purchase to look elsewhere as these aren’t what they claim to be….you can’t polish a turd.
Update further to reply from moddys
Your website description for the exact watch I purchased states:
“Inspired by the iconic Nautilus design and powered by the reliable Seiko NH38 automatic movement, this timepiece is hand-assembled for precision and style.”
Since writing this review, I have had the watch physically inspected by an independent watchmaker, who has confirmed that the movement fitted is not a Seiko / TMI NH38 and has instead identified it as an entry-level Chinese automatic movement.
This directly contradicts both your response here and the product description on your website. This is no longer a matter of opinion, layout confusion, or missing markings — the movement has been independently inspected and confirmed not to be Seiko.
I also raised this issue with your customer service team prior to leaving this review and received no response.
If your distributor or assembler has supplied you with watches misrepresented as Seiko-powered, that is something you should urgently raise with them. However, as the retailer, responsibility for accurate product descriptions rests with you.
I am happy to update this review if the situation is resolved appropriately, but as things stand, the watch was not as described, and the response provided here does not reflect the facts that have now been independently verified.

I purchased a watch in late December which after a lot of chasing didn’t arrive until January 6th. On wearing it the first time yesterday the second hand appears to have a mind of its own and the watch does not keep time. It’s been 24 hours since I reported this fault to Moddys and no reply, which i find strange given their claims of 24/7 support

Ordered another 2 watches again my thoughts well packaged upon delivery delivery time wise mirrors my other watch so no surprises there both watches again look the part no complaints here whatsoever. I’ve read a couple of comments elsewhere re clasps etc on the bracelet kind of see where they are coming from the edges of the bracelets on both watches are a little sharp at the edges but at the end of the day look what you have got a watch that looks the part look what you have paid it’s still for what these watches are a really good product if the bracket issues causes anyone an issue there’s options of course to buy a different bracket but it does not detract from the fact that we want that look at that price and these watches deliver otherwise we wouldn’t but them would we
Nice and well finished work
I had some trouble with the screws to set my bracelet but it is ok for the price
After a month I received the shipment. Well packaged, the watch is beautiful. Ok, fake button. The bracelet is beautiful, but it comes off easily, so I'm afraid to wear the watch.
