Steals artists’ work.
Is selling products using the IP of independent artists without their permission. Self explanatory. Regret purchasing from them.
EDIT: Modakawa replied suggesting that I may have purchased items from a different supplier who copied THEIR designs. But the item I purchased (from Modakawa) features an image by an artist who never permitted Modakawa to use their work. The lack of accountability is shocking.

I purchased Modakawa's black hip cut-out dress in their XL-2XL size and please do not make my same mistake of believing they are selling items that fit their advertised specifications. It is false advertising and the clothing will not fit your body at all. Even though they are pushing out ads that feature women with curvaceous figures, their clothing is not at all designed for us.
When I reached out to their customer service for help, I was met with absolutely no understanding of my frustration.
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM MODAKAWA IF YOU HAVE ANY CURVES AT ALL (: You will be out $57.99 and be left with only disappointment

Beyond amazing experience and products
I've bought from them a several times and the last product came in this morning and it was way better than expected. Definitely worth it! Every order i made came fast and the quality is great. Sometimes it's hard to find a store that has the style i like but modakawa fits perfecly. I've also talked to their support and they were so kind and helpful when i wanted to add a product to my order and their support is one of the best. So in my opinion, all the recommendations!

It is a scam
It is a scam, never buy with them. They got tons of excuse on delaying the shipment and the tracking link is fake too.
They are not telling the truth in the reply! Don’t trust them. This was not how CS replied me, they had different excuses, kept delaying the shipment. And I don’t think they did able to check my order from the information here, they are telling lies.

Good quality and customer service
I purchased some of the modern Hanfu style skirts and shirts, they are wonderful. Good quality and definitely matches its descriptions. Customer service was also fast on response when I had question regarding on sizes as well. Will definitely purchase again.

Eye-catching and comfortable
Very unique style and a wide range of choice. Details on clothes are embroidered, so big compliments for that. Deliveries are easy to track. Had three pieces delivered and I love all of them. Everything is as shown on pictures. Most certainly eye-catching. My only notice would be for buttons on some clothes to be sewed tighter to make sure they don't fall of as easy. Other than that, great job.

Cheap items, expensive, returns have a fee
Sizing is not always inclusive, items can be extremely expensive for the quality, and items do not always match what is advertised. I bought a pleated skirt that was advertised to be pleated all around, but in reality, the backside was flat and not pleated. Additionally, many of their products may be cheap polyester material with an extreme price tag - you may be able to find their items on other websites for cheaper and without high shipping fees. Returns through Modakawa also come with a fee, which makes it hard to want to return items.
