If this is the same ‘mobilesdirect’…

If this is the same ‘mobilesdirect’ that sells cheap ‘new’ Samsung phones on eBay, then do not trust them. I bought a supposedly new s23 ultra from them last month, which turned out to be not as described. I returned it to them on their request when I questioned them about the screen not being original and other matters. They said the phone arrived back damaged, which was rubbish as I used exactly the same same packaging to return it, and the ‘supporting’ photos they sent me were of a completely different model of phone! They only gave me a 50% refund.

I Ws contacted by Mobiles Direct Ltd…

I was contacted by Mobiles Direct Ltd saying they could offer a 65% discount on sim only deals and I thought it sounded good and when I decided to go ahead I ended up being scammed by this company who stole £2.51 from my bank account without my permission & when I contacted them to get a refund they said if I can not give them proof they will not refund the money back so I have now reported them to my bank who are going to help me get my money back from this very dodgy company run by Pakistanis. Stay away from this company.

Scammers be careful

Scammers?????

They tell you about a great deal on a mobile phone with a contract (eg iPhone 15 Pro for £41 per month) and set up a direct debit etc.

You receive the wrong phone, but they saying we made a mistake and sent you the wrong phone - can you send it to this address and we will get the proper one sent since then I never received anything
Scammers please be careful

Scammers

These people are scammers preying on the elderly.

My father fell victim to the scam. Luckily I was able to prevent any losses.

If you have been contacted by these people - phone your local police immediately, do not waste time.

The scam is as follows:
1. They tell you about a great deal on a mobile phone with a contract (eg iPhone 15 Pro Max for £40 per month)

2. You accept, and set up a direct debit etc.

3. They register you for a phone contract and a phone with a legitimate company.

4. Here is the kicker. They register you for the wrong phone (eg iPhone 14 Pro Max) - as this is the one they can get at that monthly price.

5. You receive the legitimate phone, but they phone saying “oops, we made a mistake and sent you the wrong phone - can you send it to this address and we will get the proper one sent out”

6. The address is their address. You send it to them and they disappear. So now you have a contract to pay a legitimate company for a phone, but you have sent the phone to scammers.
