Avoid these people at all costs
Competitively priced to sell at £104, I sent my as-new iPhone 12 mini to Mobile Direct and described it as 'EXCELLENT'. To my horror they reported that the phone was only 'FAIR' with bad damage and offered £22. So, they had the phone and the money. As a 'goodwill gesture' this was increased to £50 and eventually after pressing my case £60 was paid. Steer clear - its a scam!!

Please note that for a device to qualify as Excellent condition, it must have no visible scratches. In your case, the scratches observed during inspection meant the device did not meet this category, as outlined in the inspection report.
Our valuations are always based on the actual condition of the device at the time of inspection, and we do have photographic evidence available should you wish to review it.
As part of our effort to reach a fair outcome, we initially offered £45, and following further internal review, this was increased to £60 as a goodwill gesture.

Upon receipt and inspection of the returned parcel, our technicians identified that the item returned was not the original device supplied by our company. Instead, the parcel contained a dummy/non-genuine handset.
Our findings are supported by the full body of evidence held in relation to this case, including but not limited to:
Official Apple activation and serial number records;
IMEI and device identification data;
Courier delivery documentation;
Photographic and inspection evidence of the returned parcel;
Internal investigation records.
Based on the evidence available, we are unable to uphold your refund request.
