The cheapest isn't always the best!
Initially was a nice chap(obviously to get the job)
Fitted three CCTV camera's, cash in hand, he was just starting out on his own and we like to support small businesses.
Had a number of issue throughout the first year(camera's not picking up movement around our property, which was the main purpose we wanted them) and then left with all three camera's with faulty connections to the main box and one not working at all.
The wiring to all three camara's was exposed and very dangerous. He wanted £80 just to come out and see the problem that he caused by not wiring safely, this was without the fixing costs(at this point the box had only ever been touch by him, as it was hidden away under a table and not easily accessible).
He became very defensive, that it wasn't his fault and gave the impression, that we would have deliberately tampered with the wiring on the box to stop our own camera's working!!! How strange - WHY!!!
First rule of business, don't blame your customers for your mistakes.
We have now had to get a professional in to rectify his terrible, dangerous wiring(as said by professional) and camera's are working as they should.
The moral of the story, don't just go with the cheapest option, because you pay twice in the end!
We feel like we've been royally screwed over!
