Disappointing quality and unfair return practices

I ordered a pair of Ministry of Supply pants in December and did not receive them until February, which already felt like an excessively long wait for a roughly 200‑dollar pair of “business travel” pants.

When they arrived, they were wrinkled out of the box and the cut below the knee was oddly baggy and flared. The hems were uneven and the sewing looked amateur, not what I expect at this price point. Although the pants technically “fit,” they made me look frumpy below the knee and were not at the level of my usual professional wear. This did not improve with a trip to the dry cleaner and a pressed crease.

The marketing that these are business attire you can travel in felt misleading, because the fabric wrinkled easily. The underlying issue was poor construction, not just temporary wrinkling.

The most frustrating part was the return policy. By the time the delayed shipment arrived and I had a chance to assess the quality, the purchase was already outside their 30‑day return window, and customer service refused a return. In other words, the shipping delay effectively wiped out my ability to return a clearly unsatisfactory product.

Given the combination of slow fulfillment, disappointing quality, and rigid handling of the return window, I would not purchase from Ministry of Supply again and would urge others to be very cautious about the quality and to watch the return timeline closely.

Temu suit experience

I started the purchase in December The product showed up in February. When I started the return process because some of the items don't fit, the screen is grayed out, which I would assume because it's taking so long they've already moved on to their next product batch.
If the suit cost 1/3 as much and it shipped three times faster. It would be an okay product experience.

I had purchased an xsuit. Showed up extremely quick when the first one didn't fit right. It was a seamless exchange process. Packaging and shipping and tracking everything was a premier fill. This one just shows up in a unnamed bag. Literally felt like I bought clothes on temu.

There simply is no customer service at Ministry of Supply

I ordered one of their women’s merino hooded t shirts on December 26, 2025. Those items are made to order so I was fully prepared for a longer wait than usual. On January 8, I got an email that my item was shipping and I would get an email with a tracking number. Surprising, but good. Several weeks went by without a tracking number, a delivery or a change on shipping status. I wrote customer service and was told the item was shipping the next day and I would receive an email with a tracking number. Well, you can guess what’s been happening for the past few weeks. I’ve written multiple times, to be told the same thing—oh, it’s shipping tomorrow, we’ll send you a tracking number. Nothing. And I haven’t been able to find a way to actually speak with a human being— the one phone number I found went to a very garbled answering machine. ( I left a message anyway. No return call.). The final straw was two days ago when I got an email from customer service saying there were “import problems” with the item but they’d have a tracking number for me on Monday. There’s just one problem with that excuse—according to the MoS website, these made to order merino items are made in BROOKLYN, NY. I know Texas (where I live) is flyover country, but I don’t think it counts as “importing.” I immediately wrote back and said I want a full refund or on Monday, I’ll start a chargeback with my credit card. No response yet. In the meantime, I get daily (sometimes multiple times daily) advertising emails and texts from them.

It’s too bad, because I’ve liked the items I’ve bought from MoS a great deal and I was really looking forward to this one. I would have continued to buy from this company. But owners/founders of Ministry of Supply, at this price point, customer service has got to be better than this to keep me buying.

Marsha, Gihan here one of the founders - you're completely right, the knit-to-order items were to be produced in 6-10 business days, but we transferred these to our NJ warehouse for distribution which took longer than anticipated. We'll work internally to make sure we're sharing the right info for each order (yours was not imported). Good news your batch shipped out last week. We'll be in touch to make this right.

Still missing $ 500.- worth shipment that never got sent.

I did my purchase at MOS November 25, 2025 and received several items in different shipments.
3 items are still missing, worth USD +500.-
I've sent emails, called them and given the answering machine all the required details.
Nothing happens.
I guess that last option is to pay them a visit and ask the money back as they apparently have no interest in shipping the rest.
Stay away.....
This MIT scam isn't worth it.

Hi Gert, Gihan here one of the founders - apologies for the lack of communication here - that those units were in fact on pre-order on our site, but we know that many during BFCM may have missed it. We'll do better to make sure that is more prominent. Nevertheless, those items were delayed in production - but are now complete. We'll be sending them to you shortly.

No tracking info for order and no communication after contact

I had a good experience in the past with a blazer that was very warm, so decided to come back and get a Marino turtleneck. It’s been 2 weeks of waiting for tracking information. I sent them a message a week ago to see if I can get clarity on the delivery. No words back, not even a confirmation that they received my message. In this day and age, with scams being so prevalent, you cannot give customers this treatment or they will think they got scammed. Not sure what happened to this company. It feels like it went down hill.

Rewards disappeared and 3 months of being ignored

I used MOS rewards points to get a gift voucher and bought a single item. The item didn’t work out, so I returned it. I only received a gift card for the small amount I paid out of pocket, and the rewards value used for the voucher never came back.

When I asked why, customer service told me “this is just how it is,” even though this policy is not clearly explained anywhere in their FAQs or terms. I have followed up multiple times over the last three months and have either received no response or vague replies with no real attempt to fix the issue.

I used to see Ministry of Supply as a customer‑friendly brand, but this experience has completely eroded my trust. I would be very cautious about redeeming rewards or expecting responsive support.

From Great to Suspect

I have purchased thousands from this company over the years. I really love their clothing. But something has changed in the past year. The shipping situation is very suspect. It can take two plus months to receive an order now, whereas it used to be two weeks. They are not transparent about this change, and you have to press them to get a valid update on your order. I am super disappointed, and sad, this is happening. I doubt I’ll order from them again.

Shipping Purgatory

I ordered some items back in August. They told me in September that there were shipping delays, and to expect my order early October. Great, no problem.

Then October turns to December. I reach out and ask what the status is. I get a message that the Fulfillment Team is working on it. Then no updates until I follow up after a week. They say the Fulfillment Team is close to locating the order. It's been over two weeks since then. This whole time, I'm getting inundated with emails and texts about the latest product drop or some sale or another. That tells me they've shifted most of their money into advertising and R&D, rather than fulfilling the actual orders they've taken money for. I'm very disappointed after hearing so many good reviews about this company. And after looking at recent reviews, it sounds like I'm not the only one with shipping issues here.

Either hire more people to keep up with the demand, or spend less energy developing the newest techwear and actually send out the stuff you already sold.

I've probably spent Thousands with this…

I've probably spent Thousands with this company but the quality has gone SO FAR DOWN the past year or two in both the quality of the materials to the care. They make it nearly impossible to return items. It's just a sorry state for what once was one of my favorite clothing makers.

Items fail to ship & company fails to process refunds

The last two items I ordered never shipped. I was able to get a refund for the first one, not not the second.

Over the last week, I've sent multiple messages to cancel the second item that I ordered over a month and a half ago, and the company has not responded.

I no longer have any confidence that this company will deliver items I purchased or respond to requests for refunds when their items fail to ship.

2.5 months to ship, never arrived

I ordered a suit on July 10, and received over 3 months various “updates” promising that my suit would be shipped shortly. It was finally shipped in 2 packages on Sep 25; and according to the tracking info, promptly seized by USPS for counterfeit postage.

No pants

I placed an order for a month and a half ago. One confirmation of order email then junk email every day. No confirmation of shipment. No response to email about my order. “Track my order” button leads to meaningless page where I can order more of what I never received.

Breaking out of the pack of athletic/leisure wear

I have followed Ministry and have been a customer since their inception. The most recent pieces I’ve acquired are more versatile, colorful and comfortable than ever. I’m not a ballerina so size diversity has been helpful as well. Ministry of Supply is always innovating and they feel like a new company to me. Big fan.

I’ve been wearing Ministry of Supply…

I’ve been wearing Ministry of Supply Aero Zero shirts for nearly a decade now, and they’ve been with me on just about every continent. These shirts are incredibly easy to manage, simple to clean, and somehow always look sharp no matter what the day throws at me.

Most notably, I put them to the test in Africa—wearing one while on safari in Kenya on the Maasai Mara and another while hiking through the mountains of Rwanda to spend a day with gorillas. Whether it was the dust and heat of the savannah or the humidity and mud of the jungle, the shirts held up perfectly, kept me comfortable, and were effortless to wash and wear again.

On top of the quality of the product, the customer service is second to none. Ministry of Supply consistently stands behind their gear, which makes it even easier to recommend them. After almost a decade, I can honestly say I cannot recommend the company enough.

Amazing is the only thing one can say

Amazing is the only thing one can say. I have purchased many products from this company and first of all they have amazing customer service if you ever run into any issue with a sweater or a pair of pants, they help you resolve the issue. But you’re pretty unlikely to run into any issues as they’re closed when last and last no matter how often you wash them.

The really cool thing here is that when they say wrinkle free and that you will never have to go back to a dry cleaner they really mean it

The other thing that is just so unique is that the clothes really work in various environments. Whether you’re traveling for business or pleasure, Ministry of supply has clothing that will work. I have found that I can travel with much less packed because I can wear the same pants for dinner out with my family that I wore in the morning to go to Wimbledon.

If you try, one of their products, you will never go back

Ministry of Supply: Innovation, Technology, & 2nd-to-none customer service make it nearly the only place I shop for clothes now

Ministry of Supply is almost the only place I shop for clothes these days. Not only are their clothes phenomenal, especially due to the innovative technologies they use (and they are *constantly* innovating, & it's a pleasure to read the detailed, often scientific, e-mails the co-founders Aman & Gihan - who met while at MIT - write to customers), but their customer service is 2nd to none. Especially a huge shout-out to Elvie, Rose, & Alexis (& everyone there) for always being there to help with any issues that arose (wrong fit, returns, exchanges). They would even go out of their way to understand extenuating circumstances. And their responses are always so affable, friendly, just a pleasure to interact with. I can't recommend this company enough. I look forward to new innovations and products, though my wallet certainly doesn't ;) Thank you so, so much MoS and your entire team!

A company that is a cut above the rest, in more ways than one

I don’t often write reviews, but Ministry of Supply deserves it. Their clothing is top-notch, comfortable, breathable, wrinkle-resistant, and perfect for long days when I need to look sharp without sacrificing comfort.

What really stands out, though, is their incredible customer service. They’ve helped me with sizing questions and even replaced an item that didn’t hold up as expected, no hassle. Every interaction has been prompt, thoughtful, and genuinely customer-focused.

Ministry of Supply is one of the few brands I trust fully. Great products, great people.
