Very good except...
While I like the overall functionality, there are a few things that drive me nuts and thise things I will mention because everyone always mentions the positives in their reviews. Note: I paid for a year of training.
When practicing in a lessom that doesnt give defined squares for input, the autocomplete can't be turned off and unfortunately, when I click on a place to edit, the app changes or deletes a word or line. This almost always causes me to fail because there's no reset. I've contacted support and it can't be turned off.
Another thing is the projects. The app will tell you to go to a computer to do them and when you do, you can't access them. Why? Because you have to pay any upgraded amount to access them. Fine but if it's not included in my paid level, don't lead me to believe it is. The same with doing lessons on my computer - I needed to upgrade to do lessons on a computer although the app and website doesn't tell me that when I try. I contacted support only to be told to upgrade if I wanted to do them. The app should have told me that instead of waste my time.
You also can't jump around once you've started a session. I'm doing a 20 part program and after doing the first few, the app glitched and put me way lower into a deep dive section of something I've never seen. The first lesson held my hand thru completion but after that, I was thrown to the wolves and couldn't follow any of it since I hadn't ever seen it before. I tried to change but it insisted I complete the section which I couldn't so I ended up getting so confused and mad, I typed nonsense in every answer then hit skip blasting thru the entire section so I could manually select where I should have been. Highly annoying.
Finally, once you start a lesson, it doesn't save your progress. At work I sometimes have waits for 5-10 minutes and I'll see if I can knock out a module. I'll get most of the way thru and have to stop. I'll go back and hour later only to find that I have to restart. If I can't get thru the module again before having to return to work, I lose my progress again when I get back to work.
Again, I'm happy for the most part but almost nobody mentions the negatives so I did.
My admiration for the app
When I first saw the app on the Play Store, I didn't quite understand what it was about, so I ignored it. Then I started seeing it more and more often, so I installed it to see what the app was all about. The result: I loved the app and simply began to admire programming. Mimo's methodology and courses are incredible; everyone should try them.
Limitless learning
Being able to log in using Facebook without any inconvenience is pretty nice. Having the smooth, Pro app lets you practice, create projects and take the lessons at an expanded, masterful pathway. You don't have to wait; you can keep going for as long as you wish. Python Developer is the best course for me.
Excellent app for learning to program but...
Excellent app for learning to program from scratch. The only thing I wish was that the website could also be accessed in other languages so I could understand it better. (If that option is available, please tell me where it is; I can't find it.)
very nice app considering its free
Wonderful app BUT…
Wonderful app but it repeats everything 200x. You have to click 5x on the same button per exercise. Yes Mimo, I understand it! Don‘t make me press that button 500x!!! That steals time you could learn something. And sometimes some new things just get in an exercise without being explained. You have to guess what it does… But overall good app. (But expensive…)
Duolingo for coding.
It's an amazing way to practice coding. And for beginners or to have the first contact to a language, It's the best.
Mimo is honestly the best app I’ve…
Mimo is honestly the best app I’ve found for learning programming. It’s incredibly detailed, and the learning plan is so well thought out — everything is explained clearly, step by step, without skipping anything important. The lessons feel smooth and motivating, and I love how naturally the difficulty increases as you go. On top of that, the design is really pleasant and easy to use — it just makes learning feel enjoyable. I genuinely love using Mimo every day!
Mimo greatly increased my coding confidence!
I very seldomly leave app reviews, or reviews in general. However, it would be a disservice to the developers of Mimo to not leave feedback for this A-tier quality application. I'm a full-time student studying computer programming and ever since implementing Mimo into my daily routine for going on a couple months now, my confidence in coding has peaked. Before trying Mimo, I was dreading an upcoming Python Specialist certification exam, due to not having a full grasp of the language even after completing my college course on the subject. Now, I am fully confident in my knowledge of the language to comfortably take the exam, and with higher success rates of passing. The minor, quick lessons make retaining the information a lot more doable, and the broad spectrum of available languages the application has to offer is also very diverse, making burnout a lot less of an occurrence. I even subscribed to Mimo Max because of the accessible certification and career path, and to support the developers as well. I would 10/10 highly recommend this application for anyone entering the world of computer programming, or even skilled users just to keep their knowledge keen.

It has a great mobile app for learning several programming languages. It is easy to use and gradually gets tougher. Repetition is the key in learning anything, and it does it well. It helps get you motivated to keep coming back
Learning effortlessly
I've been learning the very basics just by playing a bit a day. That's been my goal, learning with any pressure at all.
Excellent
Excellent! Never thought I could learn coding this simple. I'm still at the beginning but I like it a lot. It's a similar concept with Duolingo and it motivates you to go on. I fully recommend this app.
Excellent for ADD users
I've created this review with ChatGPT but it really contains how I feel about Mimo.
I’ve been using Mimo for a while now, and it has made a huge difference in my learning process. As someone with attention deficit issues, I often struggle to stay focused with traditional study methods. What I really like about Mimo is that the lessons are short, interactive, and very engaging, which makes it much easier for me to stay on track. The app breaks down concepts into small, manageable steps, so I never feel overwhelmed.
The mix of theory and hands-on practice keeps my mind active, and the progress tracking motivates me to keep going. For the first time, I feel consistent and confident in learning to code. If you have trouble focusing like I do, I truly recommend giving Mimo a try—it’s been an excellent learning tool for me.
