The response of customer service is very impolite and not up to expected standard absolutely.

I am interested in Arcus Cadenza violin bow. I had read a lot of related information and even communicated with Arcus for detail.

Mezzo Forte ("MF") name this bow as "Former Flagship model". It is in line with my understanding as Arcus stopped the production of this model in 2007, probably. However MF describes it as "New" one. Frankly speaking the product description (former flagship model but New one) make me confuse. It is a very high end bow which cost around Euro3,000. So it is reasonable for me to clean up all my concerns before placing order. Unfortunately, the customer service's replies are very very impolite.

I finally contact a dealer in other country. They addressed all my concerns patiently. I brought a Arcus violin bow (even more expensive than Cadenza) from that dealer.

The purpose of posting this experience is not hoping for any reply. I guess the management of MF might not know what's the performance of their customer services. This posting is to draw the attention of the management how bad their customer services is.

NB: I am willing to post all our detail communication if needed.

I had pretty serious problems with the delivery of my order, and Mezzo-Forte did a lot to make everything work out. This is my second great order from them, and I will be sure to keep them in mind for future needs.

The violin seems good, with a great sound on the low strings!

THANK YOU! Your customer service was amazing and got my wood finished carbon fiber Hybrid cello to the USA in plenty of time before my international trip with it next week. I played on it today and am so impressed for the price at how excellent the cello sounds. So many wood cellos for 5-6K sound like garbage. This instrument is beautiful and I love that it is durable. I'm headed to Asia next week, and will be playing Beethoven 9, Mozart 40, and many other pieces. Can't wait to use it!

I bought the 5 string hybrid cello. I play in a metal band and had specific needs for the setup, which they were happy to accommodate.

I sounds incredible when running it through an impulse response, and the setup is very professional. It plays like a much more expensive cello.

My shipment is on hold by canada custom, and dhl is doing nothing. I have already made an accurate declaration online but it is still on hold.

Package arrived on schedule, wonderful product, of excellent workmanship and with fine finishes, with an immediate response both in terms of acoustics and amplification!! Being Hybrid I am very very happy and I highly recommend it to those who want an alternative to wood!

It was surprisingly easy to order an instrument and case on the mezzo-forte website and follow up via email.
I encountered a complication at American customs, but Carina at mezzo-forte was able to determine what was needed. A note to USA based customers: if you need to fill out a customs form, be sure to use the electronic DocuSign method, as PDFs are no longer accepted.

My experience with Mezzo Forte was excellent. They were highly responsive to questions -- before agreeing to purchase the instrument, they answered multiple questions and even offered instrument customizations which I had not realized were possible. During the instrument construction period they kept me informed of progress. When the instrument was finished they sent it promptly.

I didn't receive my order, it was 2 weeks ago and still no rosin.

Clear acknowledgment of my order and very rapid sage delivery.

MF was willing to work with me on delivery options and upgrades. They were very helpful when it came to helping with the customs paperwork.

Would definitely buy from them again.

I was positively surprised by the easy playing of the instrument and amount of sound. Easy light weight to hold and finally I can be at ease that a cello is more impact resistant in my classroom filled with children:-)
Playing softly and "pp" has a bit of harsh sound but I imagine it can get better as I know better the instrument.
I'm happy with my purchase!

It was an excellent price for the strings and they came very quickly even though they were shipped from overseas. I am looking forward to hearing how they sound on my Mezzo-Forte cello!

Lowering my review to 3 stars because this violin goes out of tune a lot. They advertise very stable tuning but I haven't seen that to be the case. I would still purchase it over the Glasser NY Carbon fiber violins because it's much lighter and has better tone but I think I still might have to upgrade to a Lewis and Clark in the future...

I purchased the Design Line model for my first violin.

I took the violin to two different and reputable luthiers near me, and both came to the same conclusion about the fingerboard: it "sloped" improperly so that a new bridge could not be carved to accommodate all four strings properly.

The fingerboard had to be reshaped or replaced on this brand-new instrument.

I contacted Customer Support and received back a very condescending email saying (I'm paraphrasing) that they understood that I believed there was an issue, but "...we wouldn't send an instrument out that wasn't set up correctly."

Well, they DID. Otherwise, I wouldn't have sent the email. And in the process, created a very angry customer.

Then they threw their distributor under the bus and said that if I had any issues, I should contact the retailer instead. So they passed me off and placed me in between the manufacturer and retailer.

I am not used to being treated this way as a customer (especially after how much money I had spent).

The good news is that the retailer replaced the violin with one that worked. They were very good to me, but Mezzo Forte as a company was insulated from accountability at the retailer's expense.

I am extremely disappointed and regret giving this company my business, I would select another if you are reviewing options.
