All the 1 star here are fake. They are speaking about buying carpets on mewe. That's hilarious. This is a social platform not a shop. Trustpilot should take note of it!

I have been locked out of my MeWe account and don’t know how to get back in. I never before needed to give them all my private information and I am not willing to do so now.
Why?

I have been locked out of my account for over a year. I have sent numerous requests to customer service for assistance and I get the same email back, We are experiencing a high rate of issues at this time your request is important blah blah blah. They can never seem to get back to me to fix my access but they sure are able to charge my account every month. My last contact I told them I wanted to close my account and to no longer charge me. That was last month right after they charged me for November. No response from that email and I just checked today 12/15 and they charged my again what a rip off.

I have been logged out of my mewe account and cannot get back in. What is going on? Trying to reset password but the sms code is never sent.

Like many others, I was logged out of my MeWe account a few days ago and havent been unable to log back in. Sadly, I have forgotten my password and when selecting 'Forgot Password' it sends nothing through to my email.account to reset. I've tried contacting them...but nothing....could we be witnessing the downfall of MeWe? I think so.

Seems this has happened to others (per all the previous reviews), but I was logged off of MeWe (by the platform), and I am now unable to log back in. I click the "forgot password" link, enter my information, but i am never sent the email or text to actually reset the password.

Can anyone suggest a way to resolve this situation?

Mewe locked me out of my account 4 days ago until I verify the phone number associated with my account. This happens a lot. This time, they say a text was went with a code to get back in. The text never arrives. I have been trying dozens of times, but the text never arrives.

There is absolutely no way to contact them. I went to their FB page and there is a "feedback"@mewe.com link. I sent a help request every day for 4 days and never heard back.

I'm glad I didn't sign up the premium service. There is not no way to stop them from taking your money.

It's too bad. I kinda liked the platform.

Note: An hour after I posted this review on TrustPilot, Mewe reinstated my account. I am grateful to TrustPilot, but Mewe should not make people go thu all I did to get back on.

These people call themselves ‘The Next Gen Social Network’ but I would say they are more from the old days than any other social network! I have now had 2 accounts deleted by them, no warning or notice given, and when I emailed them to ask why I didn’t get a reply nor an acknowledgment of receipt of my email! Lots of other members also said they have had similar experiences, so I would recommend anyone looking for a social network to use that they look elsewhere and don’t be taken in by the (in my opinion), false advertising MeWe promote! Even Facebook give you a reason and an explanation and notice of any impending penalties coming your way!
A seriously disappointing service which I would not promote to anyone!!

You can not contact them if you are not logged in. When I try to log in they just throw me back to the startpage. Some technical fault that they don't solve. The also pull money from my account that I can't stop. So I got a new card from my bank to solve that,. but today they got around that somehow and stole my money again. ...WARNING...you'll never seem to get rid of them. I Will file a lawsuit if they don't get my money back

MeWe brands itself as the open platform a Facebook alternative and beater but these people are no better than the worst social media pathetic SNOWFLAKES! They are utterly disgusting silencing sites that are perfectly legal breaking no laws because their delicate pathetic minds can not tolerate people liking different things.
What am I talking about well here in England air rifles are perfectly legal if sub 12ft lbs you need no license. Yet MeWe snowflakes are deleting these sites, now reading this you may think so what who cares but there are people out there who will not like an activity that is perfectly legal and lawful that you do so how would you feel if those people got the sites about your activity shut down for no reason other than they do not like it?

Quite simply sites like MeWe are disgusting silencing freedom of speech and expression because the snowflake owners have zero backbone or intelligence.

Joined mewe spent two days on and off setting up contacts etc. Logged on and off many times then tried to log on today and all I get is incorrect email or password been using it for two days so what happened. Just a waste of time don't bother with them can't contact any customer service. Any one else had the same problem.

I tried it out & really wanted it to work, but no. In the beginning I still had my FB account. I noticed that when my signal wasn't absolutely perfect, I couldn't open anything. Yet I could still get into & navigate FB. I hated the amount of scam artists active on MeWe & they do absolutely nothing to them. In the end I deleted my account & uninstalled that useless app off my phone

MEWE NO THANKS! They have been charging my card SINCE Sept 2021. Can't find a number to call them. The website to cancel your subscriptions doesn't work! No live help! Sucks to be ME we whoever owns it racking in millions cause millions of people don't have time to bother trying to dispute their $4.99 on going charges! No star rating if that were an option.

Many of the five star reviews look as if they have been written by the same person. The wording changes, but the tenses are similar and similar phrasing is used in many of them. Lots of "loves" and "greats" are positioned in the opening sentences. These reviews look suspicious to me. I never used the site after having looked at it under a free use period and deciding I didn't like it. I am pretty sure I canceled upon notice that a monthly billing would ensue. Then I contacted them again later and told them I want to cancel. Finally, today I went through the billing service and told them I had never used it. They said they would take care of it. My complaint isn't about the billings, it's about the reviews.

auto logged out from mobile app. and trying to log in again but getting error " password incorrect ". trying to change password but not receiving email for password reset. contacted mewe support but no response from them. strongly not recommended app.

I have had MeWe about a year now and enjoy it very much. It has a layout similar to Facebook so easy switch over to MeWe. I cancelled FB after giving MeWe a serious try. Since then, my friends have joined as well.

MeWe has NO ads! Best part ever. It has saved me so much time not having to scroll thru ads and unwanted posts. The only posts you see in your feed are from your friends and any groups YOU choose to join. MeWe gives you full control of your daily feed. And you see ALL your friends posts—this was an issue with FB.

MeWe does not censor, except for illegal posts—they of course remove threats to kill people, child porn, sellIng drugs…it keeps it clean.

When you first try MeWe it seems like there is not much there, which isn’t true, but it feels like that in the beginning. I figured out why. Because you control what is in your feed—so you need to add your friends and browse the groups.

There are lots of opportunities to increase your feed info if that is what you want. There are groups on a wide variety of topics—browse them and join them to see if you like them. I love rock hounding, photography, travel, baking and wanted to cut back on the political news so I didn’t start my day with news. MeWe gives me control of my feed, so this was very possible. I just followed, or joined, the groups I wanted to see every day. By doing so, I have met new people with similar interests. Made friends with people in USA and other countries.
Starting my day with MeWe has completely changed my morning routine to a faster, more efficient means, but more importantly…a completely positive atmosphere. This is my favorite part. Because I choose my groups, my feed….I see POSITIVE, interesting posts from friends and the groups I have chosen to view each day.

To sum, it up…give MeWe an honest try. Sign up, try it for 1 year. It takes time to adjust your mindset and attitude with any new social media. It takes time for you to figure out that getting away from the negative vibe, drama and constant censorship of things that do not need to be censored at FB. MeWe is a more relaxing way to start your day.
It is hard to explain really, but the change has been awesome! No more drama. No more negative people just wanting to rage. You can avoid all news or Covid and tune it out while you are here. You can just go back to positive, normal conversations about all the things that make life great. Joining groups is the key to enjoying life and MeWe. Learn and discover new things here.
MeWe is free. You do not have to pay, but you can choose various paid options. I use a free account and have no issues with it.
I can post photos and albums for my friends and family to see without all my newer contacts on MeWe seeing. New friends are great, but I still want my privacy for personal info and that is doable here. Chat works fine.

Privacy is awesome. MeWe does NOT ever sell or share your info, data, photos or posts. No worries there. It has a strong privacy policy.

My review is lengthy, but hope it helps others find their way to a positive start to their days. Life is short. Why waste time on the Internet and get sucked into the daily drama when you could be out LIVING life and sharing those experiences with like minded people. 🤷‍♀️

Created account, Site looked pretty good
so signed up to a few groups, updated account etc
Downloaded Mobile app and tried to login, Password not recognised?
So I went to the website settings changed my password to the one I originally used (the one I know)
Website logged me out after Updating password
Tried to login to site... Password not recognised??
Tried lost password process, and Mewe never sent an email or text?

Contacted support and never got a response,
Such terrible customer service

And they ask you to upgrade and pay for an account (I might of considered it, if it actually worked)

well Considering other people had a similar response, I think this site is nothing more than a data Collection site..

Clunky & awkward - I'll continue with it only because I despise Facebook. I sent a note to customer service over a billing issue - still waiting for a response. MeWe needs to pick up it's game if it's to survive & prosper.

I've been on MeWe since 2018, and I like it, BUT it's a long way short from perfect. I particularly dislike the events feature, which are a nightmare to navigate. As for customer support, forget it. Not recently, but in the past, I have contacted MeWe with suggestions and constructive criticism. Occasionally I have received a reply that was very obviously a thoughtless auto-response. Mostly I have had zero response. Anyhow, I came to MeWe seeking refuge from Big-Tech intrusiveness. I found it.

Forgot my password. Have tried to reset dozens of times. Sind up by Email years ago. Every time I go to reset password by email. It tells me that it will send me a text to my phone??? My account dos not have my phone number? Y can't it be sent to my Email? have not been able to log into my account for months now??????. Have no way of contacting MeWe about my problem. NO WAY TO Resalv THE PROBLUM!
