Bunch of robbers. Didn’t see the signs & spent 10 minutes over the 90 permitted. Blue badge passenger makes no difference. Don’t even like McDonalds food but it was the only service area en route to o... See more

Revolting company that needs disbanding
Who knew that there was a company where theft was a saleable job skill 😱. These idiots gave me a parking ticket for a day I was not even there. Sent them proof. They never replied. The first I knew about the rejected appeal was the debt recovery letter. So not only are their practices underhand but their appeals process is a complete sham. Even when you prove you weren’t there they don’t care. Well I hope they enjoy chasing me for £170….
Oh yeah, this is McDonalds yet again.
Robbers!
I was issued a fine for overstaying the 90 minute allowance, however I clearly explained in my appeal that I own an electric car and only had a mere 6 miles remaining in my battery, therefore I could NOT physically drive anywhere else. Unfortunately due to the shocking set up of electric chargers in this country, there was only ONE charger in this particular car park and a beefy 4x4 was already using it, refusing to move for an hour. We had no choice but to sit and wait in the freezing car until the other car left and we could start our charging. I provided evidence of a receipt from our charging but SHOCK HORROR the appeal was denied "because our signage is clear." I wasn't disputing the signs! Well done guys, your signs are great, but what isn't great is your understanding that WE COULDN'T PHYSICALLY DRIVE ANYWHERE!! It's the same as breaking down in a petrol car! I had my elderly mother-in-law in the car too, so believe it or not I wasn't willing to drive 6 miles down the road, to then break down and sit for hours waiting for a recovery van to help us... MET Parking are a bunch of thieves.
These guys are no better than thieves
These guys are no better than thieves. At Stansted they operate two car parks adjacent to eachother, one for MC Donalds and the other for Starbucks. The two buildings are no more than 15ft apart but if you park in one and you or a member of your car use the other fast food shop they fine you £100. Even if one or other is closed, this is what is happening nationally with car parks and we have similar problems with local shops, as drivers we need too keep reporting these issues to our Members of Parliament until action is taken
No better than thieves
These people are no better than thieves, charging me £60 for 18 minutes in an unlit car park where the signs suggested the first hour’s parking is free. Worse still, the BPA (British Parking Association) seems to exist merely to support the industry’s vile sharp practices.
Parking over a boundary in a half empty car park
Received a fine for parking over the boundary. I parked this way as there had been flooding and I would have stepped out into a giant puddle. The vehicle was not preventing anyone else from parking there, but MET prefer to show no humanity and uphold their silly charge.
Bully boys tactics
This fraudulent company fines drivers without due cause and then uses dodgy lawyers to intimidate regular people with court action. They are pure scum.
Utter garbage don't pay them
Utter garbage don't pay them. Small claims court fight
got ticket for saying 2h20min at…
got ticket for saying 2h20min at mcdonalds, after doing appeal and providing 3 receipts that ive spend all that time in mcdonalds they said they dont care, rules are rules. Well guess what, mcdonalds getting 1 star also.
And because this is not a police, i wont be paying a penny and you can get in line and be the 7th person trying to chase up any defaulted loans i got as i dont live where i got my electroral roll
Visited McDonald's Donald's twice in…
Visited McDonald's Donald's twice in one day cameras didn't pick me up on way out and am currently considering going to court and paying a solicitor rather than pay them 170 quid. Absolute criminals. 0 stars.
Most unhelpful firm.
We parked just over the allowed time. explained how it happened and explained I am on benefits. asked for a little extra time to pay point blank refused. Unhelpful
Blue Badge doesnt count
Busy petrol station forecourt. Nowhere to stop. Parked to the side on yellow lines which , ordinarily, you can do with a blue badge. £100 fine followed. Had my profoundly disabled son in the car with me, and my husband went and bought a drink. As the driver, I didn't get out of the vehicle. Still deemed to have read the T&C's on signs that I did not see and was not aware of. If the usual rules for double yellow lines don't apply, the road markings should be a red line to make it clear that parking is not allowed.
Rubbish company.unhelpful abd rude
Camera didnot pick my car on leavings an asda carpark. Took 28 days to recieve letter stating passed to relevent department then 3 weeks layer recieved final notice letter threating balifs.. would gice 0 stars if allowed..
Ticket vampires
Ticket vampires! If you see any sign saying MET PARKING stay away!
Predatory!
Predatory!
They want us to pay £60/£100 for not validating our stay at KFC Gatwick in a car park that is specifically for KFC customers. Proof that we were genuine KFC customers and stayed less than the maximum 60 minutes allowed is not enough?
Issued a ticket for a blue badge space…
Issued a ticket for a blue badge space when I had a blue badge but was not seen in the photos and did not listen on appeal despite the blue badge being for a child- disgusting company.
Parked in Mcdonalds in June 2024
Had a meal at Mcdonalds in June 2024. No parking ticket was issued at the time, no letters were sent to me in the post but what did arrive 3 months later in September , to my surprise was a demand notice from a debt collection agency demanding £170.
I can guarantee they didnt send me anything on purpose in order to bump up the price.
Very bad practice.
What goes around comes around, their time will also come.
Thieving scumbags
Thieving scumbags. My mother parked up and had lunch with a friend, before spending over 50 quid in the shops on the retails park. They went 20 mins over the 90 min limit and got sent a fine. Mums friend is disabled and takes longer to get about, and for this reason they've been penalised. We will be using the shops and McDonalds elsewhere from now on.
this company deserves zero stars
this company deserves zero stars, went into mcdonald’s and parked in the disabled bay with my badge displayed. went into mcdonald’s who took nearly 30 mins to give me my order, the minute i removed the badge from the dashboard to drive off that’s when the picture is conveniently taken of me in the ‘disabled bay without a badge’ where is the image of the 20+ minutes i was in the bay then if that was the case? absolutely disgusting. will not be paying the fine. take me to court if needs be as i have all the proof my badge was displayed, absolute robbing tw@ts

Just received a fine of a £100 for parking in a disabled without showing the badge. I literally was going to get some milk. I didn’t think to put in the window as it was for max 5 mins .. I can’t afford it I’m struggling. Please can anyone tell me what will happen when I don’t pay 😢
It was a M&S garage.. I’m ashamed of M&S for allowing this 😱
Disgusting robbing company and…
Disgusting robbing company and McDonalds should be ashamed for using them. I understand if it’s a customer car park, fair enough, but I was fined as a customer and made two purchases. I did not see any signs saying there was a time limit and let be honest, when you take your kids/grandkids for a McDonald’s treat, how many people read a lamp post? McDonald’s should at least have signage inside at the counter so people are made aware. Let’s be honest though, it looks like robbing unsuspecting customers is the aim.
