Not Great
They seem to have a problem with customer service, organisation, communication and honesty. I had an order that attracted a £40 cutting fee. I said that was excessive, if I purchased more, could I get that for free. They replied "I have been in contact with the suppliers and they would not do it". I contacted the suppliers, not only did they only charge £12 for a cut as standard, but they waived it completely, gave me a deal on the additional order and informed me that Metalhub had not contacted them at all about my order.
Metalhub also never informed me that the truck that delivers my large and heavy order does not have a crane and that it is an additional £80 to use it. Had I not known this it would of been me and the delivery scratching our heads on how to get the thing off the truck. I now know to have a couple of friends come help me.
Their ordering process is amateur hour too. First you have to register with the website and agree to their terms and conditions. Once you agree that they are not liable for anything there is at least 3 actions of back and forth with emails for quotes and invoices etc. When finally you get to the payment stage which took a couple of days for me, they give you the phone number and/or bank details to arrange payment with the supplier direct.
Paul or Karl seemed particularly helpful but there is another "wideboy used car salesman" type there that uses the phrase "trust me" a lot. He was the one that said he had been in contact with the supplier and had not.
So overall, unless they are cheapest consistently, I would try not to use them again, way too much hassle.
