Having had the same experience as everyone else - placing order via living social for electric makeup brush cleaner - still no item received, money taken from account, no reply to emails, etc etc. My bank account was hacked this week of £400. The transaction was made using my card details for an online transaction. There is no doubt in my mind that these card details have been stored by 'Mermaid Magic' for their own personal use. Please avoid this company and also living social who have no duty of care for their customers. Extremely disappointed.

Same service as everyone else who has reviewed, in other words no service. Item ordered ( 2 beauty advent calendars) never arrived. No contact from mermaid magic, Wowcher have responded , asked if I still wanted order !! I do believe Wowcher will refund me. My first order through Wowcher though and doubtful I will use again due to this experience.

Unfortunately I have a very similar story to the rest of the people, no item arrived but money was taken. I think it's totally disgusting that this company is allowed to sell its items on Wowcher, surely Wowcher should do some due diligence on companies before they allow them to sell products on its site. Wowcher should also except some accountable for what it allows to be sold on it's site because the money is paid directly to Wowcher, but they try to divert all responsibility to the Sellers when they should accept some liability. You would never get this kind of treatment from Groupon they refund you there and then they don't give you the runaround telling you you have to contact the seller and then back to Wowcher than back to the seller who doesn't respond because it's a fake site. Stay away from mermaid magic but especially stay clear from Wowcher.

Thieving company!! I ordered two advent calendars through wowcher and I never received them! I wish I’d checked out the website beforehand to see that there was no contact number available but thought it would be OK as it was linked to wowcher. I will not be using wowcher in future and that was my first time.

I have obviously emailed them and had no response.

By reading their reviews, their products sound like a load of toot anyway!

ordered flying unicorn on the 3rd of December , have received nothing, no responses to my emails and I also have had very little help from wowcher who should surely be aware of this scam company. I now have to go through paypal to try to get my money back, very disappointing

Placed an order with this company through wowcher for the electronic make up brush cleaner item was to arrive by 24th of November and was marked as dispatched and surprise surprise it's now the 28th of December and no sign of it. I have emailed mermaid magic several times and no reply I have also emailed wowcher and have been emailed in on the email they sent to company and STILL nothing.. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST.. has now put me off ordering through wowcher also...

I would never ever use this company again. I ordered an advent calendar via Wowcher for my daughter at the start of November and had not received anything by the end of the month, but the status was showing as dispatched and arriving the 23rd of November. I attempted to contact the merchant, and spoke with someone who promised to investigate and come back to me. 5 days later nothing, I then made over 20 calls trying to get through and only received a voicemail saying the mailbox could not accept any messages. Finally got through on the 12th december and again promised someone would come back to me with an hour......nothing. I then emailed Wowcher with no response so called them. Their policy is that they have to give the merchant 3 days to respond- I had also sent 3 emails to Mermaid Magic with no response. Amazingly they responded to Wowcher and myself within an hour with the rudest email. There was no apology, no dear, not even a sign off. It literally stated my name and that they had had no returns and it would be guaranteed for Christmas- IT IS AN ADVENT CALENDAR- the clue is in the name!!! I am fuming and by the way no advent calendar ever arrived. I would never ever recommend, use or contact this company again and it has really put me off using Wowcher again as well.

Had same experience ordered from this company. I have done some research and found the company which owns mermaid magic is city sharp ltd. Director Darren Symes and the company was actually dissolved in 2012. The info is freely available on companies house including a correspondence address on case anyone wants to write to them directly. This is the kind of research I would expect wowcher to have done prior to allowing then to trade on their site. Which I will be bringing up with them when I request my refund from them since the company they allowed to take my money doesn't even exist.

Ordered the make up brush electric cleaner via living social from this company. Not only did the item not arrive, but there was no direct contact from mermaid magic despite several attempts to contact them.

This is a scam company, items don't arrive and there is no way to contact them - there is an email address but they never respond. I sent 6 emails over the course of 5 weeks and they never responded.

i purchased the flying unicorn via wowcher, as a xmas present for my daughter. it turned up after almost 4 weeks!! well ive never seen something so cheap and tacky for something which should of cost over £50.. im glad i only paid £9.99, but still, i was ashamed to even think i could give this to my daughter. the box was worn and damaged, and very cheap looking. the unicorn inside is tiny and wasnt even attached to the backing. it was just rolling around inside the box with a wire. absolutely disgusting the amount of people that bought that offer an the money they have made. im not holding my breath that it would even work the state it turned up in... and im certainly not wrapping it as a present for my daughter.

TERRIBLE COMPANY!!!!!!

This must be the WORST company i have every dealt with. I placed an order via Wowcher on the 11th November and till this date i have never received my order. Sent an emailed asking for an update and they responded with an email asking for me details, which i thought was fine. I replied to this email and had no response. I then sent another email chasing and received the same automated email asking for my details, so i gave them the benefit of the doubt and provided my details again. By the forth automated email asking me for the same details i have now contacted Wowcher and they have asked me to wait 72 hours. I have sent this company emails to their direct email address and i have used their contact form on their website and nothing. I understand that this time of year can be busy but they are taking the mick. PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THIS SITE, THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!!!

Ordered goods using Wowcer voucher and nothing has arrived. No responses to emails. Wowcher say contact the merchant which is impossible....total scam

Don't buy from this company. They take your money and fail to deliver the goods. 6 weeks and i am still waiting. There's no phone number just email contact. I must have emailed them over a dozen times but only get automated replies. Will be contacting trading standards.
