Beware because you can’t get your joining fee back even if you only just paid and didn’t use it.

I was seriously looking at buying a pallet in Australia, however you need to join before you can access important information. After joining I realised that the companies are overseas and don’t speak English and you also need to pay shipping. That is one reason I wanted one in Australia, because I don’t want to pay shipping from overseas. So I didn’t use them. They will not refund my joining fee, even though I only just paid and didn’t use their service. If it was more transparent and said it was not Australian even though it says it is, I would not have joined. It’s not like it’s only a couple of dollars, it’s over $200 to join. People can’t afford to pay that much for nothing.

To help potential users make an informed decision before joining, each offer on Merkandi — even before registration — includes key details such as:
– the unit price (per item, kilogram, pallet, etc.), clearly marked as excluding VAT,
– the supplier’s country of origin,
– accepted payment methods and shipping options,
– minimum order quantities,
– and in many cases, countries the supplier ships to.

Only the supplier’s contact details are visible after registration, as they unlock the ability to start direct negotiations.

In your specific case, the supplier you were interested in does offer customer support in English — which is clearly indicated on their profile. Our support team suggested starting communication via email, a method that helps to avoid potential language issues.

Overall good.

Easy to use website with lots of good wholesale offers. I particularly appreciate the daily email with a selection of the top offers. I do think it would help to view reviews of suppliers with the base account - you already pay for access so having to pay extra for this information isn't great when it could lead to more business transactions.

I was hoping to buy full pallets

I was hoping to buy full pallets. Paid my £150. Only about 5 in the UK. Only 2 selling pallets if returns. Approached them both and both had sold the pallets I wanted and never updated Merkandi. Waste of money

They advertise NON-Existent products on their website

After paying Merkandi subscription fee, I contacted the listed seller, who confirmed that all advertised inventory was over a year old and NO LONGER AVAILABLE. This indicates that Merkandi knowingly displayed false or outdated product listings, misleading customers into paying for access to non-existent goods.
I immediately contacted Merkandi’s customer service via phone (40-minute call) and multiple emails requesting a full refund. Despite my concerns, they refused, citing a no-refund policy on subscription fees and suggesting I find another supplier—despite NO OTHER OPTIONS being available. Merkandi fails to deliver the service it claims to offer. I ultimately had to dispute the charge through my bank!

UPDATE:

Following their reply, it's truly unfortunate that Merkandi—despite claiming to be a reputable company—does not maintain the quality of the listings they provide.
That's correct: I used my account to contact the sellers, and none of the listings or products were available.
During my phone conversation with Merkandi, I provided the details of the seller along with the outdated and inactive offers. It's disappointing that their unprofessional customer support team neither took notes during the call nor followed up with the seller to remove the listings.

Why they don’t offer a trial period

The only way to access the site is to pay up front a yearly subscription fee. We did this (£230.00) to obtain a seller offering a reasonable price on a Gillette razor blade pack. We placed our order, which was cancelled immediately with an email from the seller saying, “We don’t sell to the United Kingdom.”.
We contacted Merandi requesting a refund to be told NO, WE DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS.
Merkandi.com suggested we try another seller; however, there are no other sellers offering this part, which is strange as they claim to have hundreds of contacts in their address book. It seems the subscription fee is just giving you access to a database of contact details with NO guarantee of anything else!
