I’m pretty particular where my SLK goes for service
I took my 2009 Mercedes-Benz SLK 300 to Benztec yesterday for the first time. My SLK is a summer car and does very little annual mileage. It enjoys being over-wintered in its fleece cover in my garage. I’m pretty particular about where it goes for service, however with exceptionally rising costs I decided now to take it out of the Mercedes-Benz franchised network.
I have a friend who recommended Benztec which is often a plus point I find, and when I phoned to make an appointment I was greeted most pleasantly and professionally by Rose. She took the necessary details and quoted me for the service and brake fluid change. First impressions are vitally important and this made me feel comfortable straight away.
Some days later I dropped the SLK off at the arranged time and was warmly greeted. I was asked to check details and sign the job card (work order) no fuss or bother as one would expect. Later during that day I received a phone call to say the vehicle was ready to collect. In fairness I was offered a collection and delivery service from Benztec at the point of the booking which I declined.
When I collected my SLK I met two of the technical staff who were helpful and friendly, taking an interest in both my car and me as a customer which was great too. I was presented with the invoice and it was exactly as I was quoted, no surprises and very professional. The invoice was well presented and much the same as a MB main dealer. The digital service report was completed just like the Mercedes dealer network would do. All the parts fitted during the service were genuine Mercedes-Benz parts which was very important also giving peace of mind. My vehicle was presented back to me in clean condition, evidence of vehicle protection was used throughout the service.
To conclude, my first visit to Benztec will not be the last and based on my experience I would strongly recommend them.
