Having had 4 Mercedes in the past
Having had 4 Mercedes in the past, I won’t be buying another.
I have recently visited three dealerships and it is clear that the Sales staff have lost all enthusiasm to want to sell new cars. All prices are set by HQ, all authority for pricing has been removed from the dealerships. Their appears to be no need for a customer relationship and zero authority to negotiate a deal and retain with customers.
If they can’t be bother due to this greedy approach then neither can l.
Visiting Land-rover tomorrow.
Zero customer service on dangerous Sprinter recall
Bought a 2nd hand Sprinter as the garage (not an MB dealer) recommended it. Foolishly I thought that, as many courier companies use Sprinters and Mercedes has a reputation for quality, I would have no issues. How wrong could I be?
Engine light on after first few miles. A faulty sensor. Still an issue, another faulty sensor. Cost of Nox sensor around £500.
Over-engineered vehicle (how complicated can you make an interior light!?). Poor rust-proofing.
Awful non-self-adjusting handbrake.
Leaking build joints. Rusting due to bad design. Stop Start that doesn’t work.
Anyhow I accepted that buying a piece of crap was my fault but then to add insult to injury I receive an urgent recall letter saying the driver air-bag needs to be replaced. That was before Christmas so I duly contacted my local dealer and was advised it wouldn’t be done anytime soon as the parts were on back order. Given they were still churning out these rust-bucket heaps they clearly prioritise selling new vehicles over fixing dangerous older ones. Clearly not a company you can trust. Remember the diesel emissions cheating?
After five months I contacted Customer Service to ask when the parts might be available. I received a reply asking for my details (even though I had provided Reg No already. I provided the details requested and then nothing. Customer Service just ignored every subsequent mail. I think I may escalate to Watchdog, Motor Manufacturers, Martin Lewis, etc. if anyone will listen. I’ve had the best car and best service from Hyundai in the past and will never buy a Mercedes again given their lack of care for customers. Glossy showrooms and fast cars but at what cost? Clearly they don’t give a damn as no-one responds on here.
Never update on recall diesel engine
Never update on recall diesel engine software. Then you will have to replace the NOx sensors for about £1,500 because the old sensors do not work with the new software. And no one is interested at all
8 MONTHS AND STILL NO CAR
Our car has been in Mercedes Carlisle since the end of July 2023, the part required was ordered more than 23 weeks ago, the ETA of 11th January 2024….been and gone!! Customer service department say that they can give us no idea when this will arrive, say this has been escalated, ask to speak to a manager in customer services the answer is… sorry I am unable to do that, we will keep you updated….JOKE!! Never contact you!! Mercedes as classed as a premium car, well god forbid you ever have an accident and need a repair. This has caused so much stress let alone the depreciation of our car sitting there for 8 months…..absolutely disgusting service.
Reputed car with a terrible service
I planed a service for my car at mercedes benz heathrow branch,
The telephone operator told me it takes 2-3 hours to do the service for my car, so i planed my day according that information, but when I got there I was told by the receptionist it will take 6 hours which ruined my plan,
It's not the first time they get it wrong,
I am really disappointed
I don't recommend them at all
Impeccable service from Paul and team Oxford
I was involved in a collision and Paul Collins from Mercedes Oxford was absolutely fantastic. He took over and sorted all the bumps with the insurance company, kept me up to date, and I really cannot fault his customer service. Thank you Paul for taking away all the stress and worry and ensuring the car was sorted as timely as it could be. Thank you the team in the workshop- the car is now as good as new ❤️
Nothing short of a disappointing &…
Nothing short of a disappointing & frustrating experience with Gatwick Mercedes.
Put my car in for repair @ 9am & wasn't contacted by a single person all day. My 'health check' was completed 7 hours later @ 4pm!... I had to phone myself around 5pm to be told the technician 'Christian' had gone home.
Went to pick up today around 5pm & waited 25 minutes to be seen. People who turned up after were served first & not a single person acknowledged me
Premium brand with Halfords service. Disappointing, frustrating & such a lack of basic communication
Shame on you.
Case number 03703582
Case number 03703582
Had to call Mercedes to recover my car off the M1 near Hemel Hempstead, left me at a Starbucks to get my own taxi home. What followed what farcical. Raised this complaint end November 2023, 3 months on they told me on 29th Feb 24 the case was being looked at now. Premium brand, service poor, staff feel they don't have to care so much.
My experience with Mercedes-Benz…
My experience with Mercedes-Benz Colindale was nothing short of disappointing and frustrating. Despite bringing my car in under warranty to address an issue with the driver side mirror, I left with more problems than I came in with. Not only was the mirror not fixed properly, I also discovered scratches all over the mirror cover upon picking up my car.
The lack of communication and follow-up from the staff only added to my dissatisfaction. Despite waiting for three days for a response regarding the damage, I received no updates or explanations. This level of disregard for customer concerns is unacceptable.
Overall, my experience at Mercedes-Benz Colindale left me feeling undervalued and ignored. I expected better service and attention to detail from such a reputable brand. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of expectations, and I would caution others against trusting their vehicles to this dealership.
Mercedes Benz Portsmouth - Exceptional!
I was utterly thrilled to take ownership of my GLA 220d 2023 model from Portsmouth Mercedes. I loved the theatrical approach adopted for the unveiling of the car and sent the video recorded by Jon Cox to a number of my friends, who all agreed it was a very personal service indeed.
Right from my first meeting to the final handover, Jon Cox was outstanding. The warm welcome I received initially in the showroom and the subsequent meetings, were all incredibly helpful and supportive.
I was mightily impressed by the quality of the car, the value for money and the obvious attention to detail and support I was given. I have already recommended Mercedes Benz Portsmouth to many of my friends.
Mercedes Blackpool
Booked my car in for a service and some work to be completed under warranty, however I received a notice that my car had been in an impact damage whilst in the care of Mercedes Blackpool via the Mercedes me app the dealership never informed me I had to mention it when they phoned that my car was ready. It was not ready it had been damaged they kept the car for two days not offered a replacement car to tide me over got the car back warranty work I booked it in for not completed poor service.
Waiting for a replacement part, Now 6 Months
Still waiting for a replacement part for my still under warranty new C class , it Is now 6 months since the part was orderd by the dealership. Dealership have been as helpful and proactive as possible . However Mercedes Customer Service have been no help whatsoever I complained about the delay and they have informed me that they have absolutely no idea when the part will be available . I wrote to the CEO of Mercedes UK about the delay. Eventually someone from customer service replied (not the CEO)! stating again that they had no idea when the part will be available!!!!. Absolutely disgusting service . What is worse is I know that the part my car needs is still being fitted to new cars deliverd to dealers and customers !!!. Support for existing customers obviously abandoned by Mercedes in favour of new car sales .
DREADFUL DREADFUL DREADFUL DREADFUL
DREADFUL DREADFUL DREADFUL DREADFUL
1st and last Mercedes I will ever buy. What is worse is that the staff at the dealership don't care, they lie, make up stories and try to fob people off. Its impossible to speak to someone who has any information at the Customer Service (CAC) Office & you get sent round the houses with any complaint disappearing into a bottomless pit. For a supposedly high end organisation who pride themselves on fantastic quality and service they are the complete opposite. If you value good customer experience, don't use this company or their dealerships.
BADLY BUILT CARS
I brought my 2018 Mercedes E220 AMG line convertible in Dec 2020, from the main dealer with very little mileage on it, I have found Mercedes cars very flimsy built compared to other cars I have had in the past, within the last 3 years I've had window operating switch fly off, I've had 1 cracked wheel rim and replaced at the cost of £1300, and recently my engine management light came on, at this point I had lost all faith in Mercedes cars, I got the car checked out by another car technician, and told me that the AdBlue pump and another module had failed, I couldn't believe what I was hearing as the car has been regularly serviced and maintained and with only around 33 thousand miles on the clock, the car is in the garage at the moment getting this problem sorted at the cost of £1800, as I already lost trust in Mercedes cars so I decided not to take the car back to Mercedes for these repairs as they couldn't build a car properly to begin with. I am just waiting for my PCP contract to end this next Dec, and then I will buy the car back off Mercedes dealer and resell to a totally different car dealer for a more reliable car.
I can't say I am a proud owner of a Mercedes, to me a total waste of money
staff did not want to know
staff did not want to know, just look at you and cannot be bothered to help
Mercedes Blackpool
The whole team provided services that I never knew existed but I needed, but did not push me to buy.
they ticked every box, they went the extra mile and more. Mercedes Blackpool.
New Mercedes GLC AMG 300 purchased in…
Mercedes a new GLC AMG 300 purchased in June 2023. In the second week of ownership the fun started when the car failed to start with critical low battery charge. Back to main dealers in Aberdeen frequently but no cure for problem. To cap it all Mercedes can not supply the needed new electronic door modules for 5 months!! Mercedes UK customer services do nothing to help and are completely useless by way of progress. May I suggest NEVER buy a Mercedes car because the onboard electronics are so complex that the Mercedes Service Technicians do not understand them and can only switch parts to see if that helps !! That is if they can get the parts !! Apparently a known and common failure mode for modern Mercedes models.
Bought an approved used E400d 4MATIC
Bought an approved used E400d 4MATIC, had range of issues, been into dealership for three full days on separate occasions, but they don’t seem competent enough to fix the issues. Escalated situation to Mercedes UK customer service, but they seem to have slippery shoulders and don’t want to know. They are very keen to sell their products but don’t want to know when things go wrong. Not surprised that 80% of ratings are 1 star. If I was Mercedes, I would be a bit concerned about that.
E Class Mercedes Wheel Rims Cracking and tyres blowing
Purchased what I thought was the car or my dreams in July 2023, paid £40k for an E Class convertible, the first 3 months were ok, then the punctures and tyres blowing out on the motorway started, 5 tyres and 7 wheel cracks later and Mercedes have told me in writing i must be hitting curbs with force and hitting all the potholes, all my driving is Motorway, my wheel rims are unmarked which will show no curbes have been rammed, Mercedes just dont want to know, the car will be sold, dream turned in to a Nightmare. avoid avoid avoid
I changed my family cars
I changed my family cars, from Audi A5s and thought I was upgrading them to Mercedes GLAs. First one that has only done 40k miles just stoped in traffic while daughter doing school run. No warning lights no warning, got a relay company to take car to garage at another £200 cost for the garage to phone me up and tell me they wont rebuild Renault engines on account they always come back and cost them money. I said but I havent got a Renault I have delivered a Mercedes to you. He then went on to tell me that all Mercedes A class, B class Under 2 litre CLAs and all GLAs have Renault engines. If like me you think its a con buying Mercedes car with Renault engines stay clear of Mercedes
