Up and running
Quick background: I did HR for 15 years, decided to go out on my own doing consulting, and immediately hit a wall. Not with the HR part, with everything else. Website, payments, invoices... I had like 9 tabs open comparing Squarespace and Wix and some CRM thing someone recommended, and I just closed my laptop. Twice I started building a website and quit halfway. It was embarrassing honestly.
A friend sent me Richie and my first thought was "great, another thing to learn." But I had a page up the same afternoon. Like, actually up, with my services on it and a way for people to pay me.
The thing I didn't expect to love: my retainer clients just subscribe and it bills them automatically. They can grab their own receipts too, which means I'm not digging through email at 9pm because someone's bookkeeper needs an invoice from March.
I needed to stop fiddling with tech stuff and start actually consulting. If that's you too, just try it.
