MedMock is an AI practice partner for spoken UK medical exams and interviews. It lets doctors, medical students and pre-med applicants rehearse the part of exam preparation that is hardest to get enough of: talking to a patient, a relative or an examiner, out loud, under exam conditions. We cover 99 UK exams and interviews with more than 300 practice stations, including PLAB 2, MRCP PACES, MRCGP SCA, MRCEM, Psychiatry CASC, MRCS Part B, Primary and Final FRCA, the FRCS specialty exams, medical school finals, specialty training interviews and consultant interviews. Each one follows that exam's real format and station types, and we update the stations when the format changes. You speak in real time and the AI patient answers back. Every patient has their own history, concerns and expectations, reacts to how you handle them, and will not hand you the diagnosis. Some stations include blood results and clinical images to interpret. When you finish, you can have the station marked against the domains real examiners use, with specific feedback on where you gained and lost marks. MedMock is available 24/7, so you can practise at 6am or midnight without booking a study partner or a course. It is especially useful for international medical graduates building confidence in English-language consultations. MedMock was founded by Sam Nahas, a practising orthopaedic surgeon and medical educator, and Arjan Jandu, our CTO, and is run by VirtualPatients Ltd in the UK. I was successful in my first consultant interview thanks to Medmock

Medmock was a massive help in preparing for my consultant interview. I took an interview course and realised that thinking through an answer to a question is much easier than speaking it aloud to a panel. Medmock changed that.

The platform enabled me to make the questions bespoke for my interview by inputting information from the job advert and person specification. I was then able to tackle real-life questions at my own pace and in my own time.

Through repeated practice, I learned how to structure answers to interview questions and deliver eloquent, thought-out answers to challenging and probing questions and scenarios. The feedback and model answers helped me rethink and refine. The platform identified my weaker topic areas, and clarified important NHS hot topics for me.

On the day of the interview, I felt well and truly prepared. I was able to give clear and eloquent answers to all of the panel's questions, some of which I had answered several times in Medmock. I was able to think about making my answers sound less rehearsed, rather than thinking about how to answer the question.

This was my first substantive consultant interview and I got the job. In no small part thanks to Medmock. "If you aren't talking you aren't learning." This is so true. With so many of our medical and surgical training hurdles being governed by viva style exams and interviews, practising out loud is vital to success. Medmock is like the exam buddy I prepared for FRCS with, but was available at any time, gave me accurate criticism and told me how to improve. Thank you.

I had an excellent experience with…

I had an excellent experience with Medmock. The platform is very well organised, professional, and genuinely useful for exam preparation. The mock sessions were realistic and challenging, closely reflecting the pressure and structure of the actual exam.
