Great Experience

I wouldn't even rate Medmate 1 star

I wouldn't even rate Medmate 1 star. Thursday the 14th of August I was in need of some pain killers for my back side because I had haemorrhoids done a week prior. I explained I was taking over the counter medications and more than one should but the pain would not subside. At this point there's no driving or lifting more than 5kg and its very tender. My partner explained it to look to be an open wound. I was still bleeding as well, so I was very worried and my anxiety was through the roof, but all the doctor prescribed was Proctosedyl which is over the counter anyways. I felt during the conversation that the doctor didn't care at all, after all it's not his ass hole is it.
Now it's Monday 18th of August and after seeing a doctor at the clinic I go to I'm still sitting in pain here because he was argumentative about giving me something for the pain. He didn't even look at it, so there's two doctors in two days that haven't done the job correctly. I don't regularly take or ask for pain killers and I've had a reasonable procedure done so what's the problem?
Medmate has left a bad taste so I'll be looking at someone else in the future to do my sickness certificates and everything else as it seems that Medmate doctors just want my money.
Extremely disappointing.

Good service

The website was easy to follow and the doctor called back in a reasonable time. Script was issued to phone. I was followed up the next day, which was good service. Would recommend Medmate.

I want to like medmate so badly but 10…

I want to like medmate so badly but 10 days after my consultation I was able to get my script sent to my local pharmacy. After my appointment, I was informed by the doctor that I’ll get a phone call regarding my prescription as I do not have Medicare. I waited and didn’t receive a call at all. Later that evening I received an sms that says my e-script is available, with no repeats. I had requested and paid for repeats, so I contacted medmate and they confirmed that I have three repeats. Three days later i got an sms that says my prescription has been delivered via sms, this was an error after contacting them for clarification. 6 days later, I contacted medmate to ask for my medication, I have been without this for 5 days now and thank heavens for Dennis, after chatting he checked and discovered there was an issue with the prescription managed to get this resolved with the doctor. He called to inform me and apologise, and in a couple of minutes I finally had my prescription sent. I have now been able to access my medication BUT I was told by the pharmacy that I have no repeats. I am fed up. If you need medication urgently, you’re better off going somewhere else. I’m now convinced spending six hours to go to my family GP is worth more than the mental stress I have experienced with medmate. Dennis has been the only shining light throughout this ordeal.

Will definitely use again

Great service, got an appointment really quickly & script was sent through whilst on the phone. I really appreciated the follow up with the nurse, it is such a great service. Will definitely use again

Very easy to get an appointment;
The doctor rang me up within a few hours, and asked many questions, to ascertain my seriousness, and gave a long list of things I need to do to help get well.

First time using Medmate but will definitely NOT be my last …

First time using Medmate as I was unable to get an appointment with local GP but had significant symptoms that were worsening.
I had received my GP consultation within 20 minutes of requesting a priority consult . Dr Lee was extremely thorough asking about my symptom progression over the previous 3 days and at the conclusion had provided me with script for chest infection and other suggestions to manage my symptoms over the next 1-2 days.
I received a call from Nurse Emmi 3 days later for followup on how I was and to ensure my symptoms had started to improve and again was provided with exceptional health advice.
I would highly recommend Medmate as it was thorough, cost effective at $50 for priority consult and my scripts were text to me within 2 minutes of consult and to receive followup was unexpected but so valuable.

Simple prompt and excellent care

it was very easy to book an online appointment. Even though we had issues with the phone call initially I emailed the customer care team and were on to it straight away and ensured another doctor called me as soon as possible. They were very intentional with questions and were able to prescribe me antibiotics and I am feeling much better.
I will be using their services again when I'm not able to make an appointment with my regular doctor.

Help in my time of need!

I had a wonderful experience with MedMate. I woke up sick on a Saturday and couldn't get into a local GP but couldn't wait until Monday. They sent me texts to let me know that I'd receive a call in the next hour and then another to let me know the call would happen soon. After discussion with the doctor on duty I could get the script I needed sent to my phone to get treatment started ASAP. I will definitely use them in future.

10/10 would recommend

As a paramedic we don’t often see the gp although an 8 week waiting period is our usual.
These guys were the perfect solution.
Call from the comfort of your home without wrangling a sick toddler out of the house.
Had antibiotic scripts on my phone within the hour.
Such a seamless referral option that I will happily use again and again.
$35 for consult is cheaper than any gp appointment I’ve had even with the rebate and a call within 1-2 hours and not sitting around a room of sick patients is ideal.
They were thorough, professional and kind.

Upload photos and talk to the doctor on the phone and sorted. They even do cheap medical certificates etc.
10/10. Will recommend to everyone
