They should give a refund when we are…

They should give a refund when we are not satisfied. They hide information from you. They take more money from your credit card than what you signed up for. Do not go with medieats. They are dishonest. I lost my money with them. Very disppointed!!! Zero stars!!

Very disappointed, refused refund

I filled out the quiz and after a few days ordered my plan. I also purchased the VIP option. When I opened my plan, I didn’t realize at first, but it was for vegan, there was no meat. I immediately contacted MediEats that I am dairy free, but that I want meat in my plan. Two days later they get back with me that I have to wait to the next Sunday to get my plan. I was wanting to start with the new year and this would put me behind. Also, I did not feel very VIP. I decided this was not going to be the best plan as I was just a number to them. I canceled my plan and asked for a refund. They refused refund, stating that I canceled for personal reasons and they had provided plan as promised. I was very excited about this when I ordered and now I am very disappointed. If this is the special treatment I can’t imagine the regular. We are just numbers to their business.

I request a Full Refund

I request a Full Refund. I signed up last night for $89 dollar fee. It was advertised as simple meal plans & yet they are extensive and time-consuming recipes. I can't believe that I threw away $89 dollars .

MediEats is a SCAM!!

MediEats is a SCAM!!! Do not sign up for
this fraudulent company. Once you give them your credit card you will be on a lifetime of renewal even though you follow their cancellation policy. I have sent 5 emails to their support line at medieats.com and I NEVER GOT A SINGLE RESPONSE OR CREDIT. There is NO PHONE NUMBER OR PERSON TO REACH OUT TO. I wish I would have researched this MediEats before I gave them my credit card.

BUYER BEWARE!

BUYER BEWARE!! This is NOT a custom meal plan. They offered a questionnaire to get meal preferences and I distinctly said I do not like salmon. At least 4-5 meals each week include salmon! There are also numerous complicated meals using burritos and tortillas, which I don't eat either. I tried to get my money back and they said they don't do refunds "for personal reasons". Then why offer the time consuming questionnaire?? They did however insure me that my subscription will not be auto renewed. I never agreed to an auto renewal in the first place. Stay away from this scam and buy a Mediterranean cookbook. I should have followed my own advice!

Resolved

As per other reviews, I signed up for 3 months, no notification that they were going to renew for another 3 months. I contacted meditates and are please to say that I have been issued a refund. BE aware of the renewal clause though.

I tried to cancel my plan last month…

I tried to cancel my plan last month and never heard anything back. I thought it was cancelled. I received notification that my credit card was charged $89 for the month of December. Again, I have sent 3 emails to them to cancel my subscription yesterday Dec 2,2024 and still have not heard anything.

Waste of Money

The upside is that the plan got me started as to what I can eat and gave me the motivation to exercise. However, the meal plans are boring - same meals every week. I was supposed to get exercises for seniors. Got a few mundane suggestions the first week and haven’t received anything since. I have found numerous delicious recipes that fit into the plan online. As well, I have found really interesting exercises for seniors online which I am doing every day. The exercises and recipes are free of charge and I am steadily losing wait using them. The company should provide more appealing recipes and exercises so that there is motivation to stick with the plan.

I signed up for the 2 month plan

I signed up for the 2 month plan. I emailed them to find out the date my subscription would end. They told me Nov. 16. On Nov. 16 I was charged another $89.00. Waiting for reply as to why and that I want my money refunded.

I want to update: Medieats contacted about an hour after I emailed them. They cancelled my subscription and refunded my money. I appreciate their quick response.

Never order from here!

I wish I could put a -1. Horrible company! I ordered 2 cookbooks and seasoning. I received 2 cookbook downloads and a refund for the seasoning. it makes it so hard for a person trying to support a black owned business. I have report this company to the BBB and awaiting results.

Scam

I have been taken advantage of. This company indicates they have a 5 star review but far from that. They expected I was going to go another month and without notice attempted to withdraw funds from my account without asking
I do not want anything further to do with this company but they attempted to withdraw from my account again.
Fortunately I have my account locked so they cannot get funds from me but, in this time of people finding it hard to survive, it hurts to see companies using whatever tactics they can to separate you from your money
I will continue to keep my account locked and too low in funds to be useful to any further companies

They repeat the recipes after several weeks.

I love the recipes, shopping list, menu suggestions, and followups. I was hoping for more recipes over time, though. I would recommend getting this program monthly since they start repeating pretty quickly. I have to supplement this with another source of Mediterranean recipes. I have lost some weight slowly, though, and like how I feel. Just want more recipes!!!

Refunded!

I am happy to say that one month later after communicating with Medi Eats Customer Service, I was granted a full refund for the automatic renewal. Thank you Medi Eats!

Unfair Practice

Like Eileen and several others below, I too have been charged without my consent or knowledge!

I believe that they catch many unsuspecting people with this unfair practice of converting an initial sign up for a set period, to an Automatic Renewal!

There is nowhere on the website to Cancel an Auto Renewal this can only be done by them on their side & conveniently you are not advised beforehand!!

In my opinion this is a totally unfair practice. I am really very annoyed by this unexpected or budgeted for expense and with the South African Rand to US Dollar exchange rate it's a lot of money which I cannot afford!
