£333 per ticket and what for?
£333 per ticket, you're told not to bring single use water, booze or substances. You are told not to bring speakers. You are told that you will have showers, water, food and of course, spiritual talks, workshops and more. What you are not told is that it is the most poorly organised festival you will ever attend, that water is sparse and heavily treated (people were saying it was making them sick, but drinking it as it was 37 degrees C and there were no alternatives). Shower blocks were out of action, that meant I was unable to shower for two whole days, the queues for over 5000 people were insane, and there was diminishing water pressure that meant that filling a bottle of water was at least a 10 minute task once you had queued for 10-20 mins! Food stalls were closed due to refridgeration issues, few catered for gluten free. And, on the second day most of the event was still closed and behind schedule. Worse yet, organisers (martials) seem to know nothing, they could not tell us were things were, maps and programmes were nowhere to be found. No saunas and cold plunges (despite buying two passes for unlimited use)... I could go on. Night times were noisey, anti-social groups blasting music into the late hours. If you wanted to get closer to nature and your spiritual side, I would strongly suggest finding a field and meditating, because this festival was nothing but a woeful disappointment. I left after a few days and felt robbed. There is no recourse, no one is taking responsibility for the shamebles they held this year and they are telling me I am not entitled to a refund...
